We hired him for a consultation to make sure everything was in order and it costs $70 which is a steal, considering the time Leon takes to teach you things. My brother (a fellow homeowner) suggested a biannual HVAC inspection but because of Leon's trustworthiness, he stated that due to how new my house is and what great condition everything is running in, he would suggest annual maintenance for now. I wish I could have had the same positive experiences that others here have reviewed. Unfortunately, my family was forgotten about. We agreed to use Apex Air Solutions for our repair prior to the sale of our home, and Leon was very helpful...initially. He even offered us a temporary unit until our repair could be made. However, we never received the temporary unit. To add to our disappointment, the evening Leon was supposed to bring the temporary unit, another customer posted a review of her positive experience with Leon that very same evening. This is how we know we fell off his radar and were forgotten. All follow up calls went unanswered. Now, we understood the temporary unit was a generous courtesy, but if something had changed, (i.e., no more units available, no longer willing to offer, given to another household instead, etc.) a heads up would have been nice. Again, looking at the reviews here and elsewhere online, I had just hoped that my family could have experienced the same. In my line of work, word-of-mouth and the end result are highly valued and I had several referrals I could have provided. Seems Apex Air Solutions may in fact be a great company...just having a hard time understanding why we had a less than stellar experience. read more

Overall, an an excellent and pleasant experience!!! I just got back from vacation at the end of May and it seemed like my A/C was not able to keep up with the start of the summer heat. To save myself from a nagging wife later, I felt it necessary to get my system checked before it really started getting hot. I checked many of the reviews of HVAC companies in Baytown and they were less than stellar. I kept scrolling down, calling several companies in the morning which denied service based solely on my location, until I called Apex. When I called and asked if he serviced Baytown, he asked what kind of issues I had. After I explained it WASN'T an emergency situation, what my problem was, and my family's availability, he said he could give us a call and stop by sometime this week. Since I was not in a hurry, that was more than acceptable. That afternoon my wife called to tell me Leon was on his way. I was very pleasantly surprised he was able to make it out so soon. Leon was here about 2-3 hours total. He did a complete check on my A/C unit and even blew down the condensate drain line. He found my system was fairly low on refrigerant and he filled it up. He had all the necessary tools and discussed his findings with me on an easy to understand level. I've taken some HVAC classes and asked some technical questions about his readings and he answered them without hesitation and to my satisfaction. It's been about 2 hours since he's left and the house is noticeably colder. Perfect service at an affordable price. Leon was great, he resolved not one, but multiple problems with my HVAC system. I had a stubborn clog in my main drain line that a competitor could not unclog, but Leon got it unclogged instantly and he also got my unit cooling at peak performance again. The service call was pretty fast, arriving about 4 hrs after I called. They took about an hour to determine the run capacitor was dead but had to come back later that afternoon to get the unit running. The service call price was as expected but the $189 price for the capacitor was about 10 times higher that it would cost from Amazon or elsewhere. read more

The owner answered the phone and asked me to text him my phone # and address and he'll call me back. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from his technician Brandon about two hours later. After describing the issue I had with my A/C to him, he said he'll be over in about half an hour. He not only fixed the problem but also explained what he had done to fix it and instructed me how to maintain and avoid the same problem. It was like dealing with family! I purchased an Angie's List deal on Thursday, April 9th for a $55 AC inspection. Leon, the owner of APEX, came out and did a full inspection of my AC system, found it to be low on Freon, and filled it back up. What was most impressive is that I was on a time and date crunch, as my home warranty is running out, so I needed the inspection done pronto so I could renew or discontinue my services. Could you believe it? Our A/C system failed during one of the hottest months (100 degrees) of the year in Texas. We contacted a local A/C company. They came out to diagnose the problem. They rigged the condenser fan where it was not even spinning anymore and told us it would cost over $2,000 to fix. My husband did his best to at least get the fan spinning again. Thankfully, he was able to get the fan spinning; however, it was spinning slower than normal. It was 88 degrees in our home and uncomfortable. First, we prayed to God that we would not be taken advantage of, and that He would send us reputable and honest A/C repairmen. Next, we searched online for A/C companies in our area. We came across Apex Air Solutions in Humble, Texas, and contacted them. They came out the day we called (July 21, 2018). Brandon, the service repairman, detected the issue right away and started repairing it. He fixed our A/C dilemma. He added Freon and fixed the fan so that it was spinning faster (as it should). The temperature in our home dropped from 88 to 78 degrees within hours. What a blessing! We were so thankful to God for sending us the right people who would be able to address our problem and not take advantage of us due to the extremely hot weather. Our cost was minimal including their very reasonable service fee of $50.
