Placer Concrete just finished our driveway and we couldn't have been more impressed. We had some drainage issues and called around a few places to get some estimates. Some people didn't return our calls, others just quoted a price with almost no information. Bob took that time to ask questions, he came out and showed us some ways to not only get the water away from our house, but also to save money. He was extremely good about communication and when it came time to do the work, his crew was efficient, polite and clean. I highly recommend Placer Concrete to anyone who has any sort of concrete or drainage issues. read more

Great work, great employees, competitive pricing for a driveway widening and walkway. We'll use them for our next concrete project.

We sent an email to provide details about our project and a time to meet. We responded to Bob's email requesting meeting times. We never heard back. We tried again and still no answer. There are obvious problems with this business and am happy that they revealed this early in our vetting process. read more

Bob, Hiva and the Placer Concrete team are the best. Found them because they were doing commercial work on the high rise building I work in downtown. They had the most experience and the best bid out of all the contractors we had spoken to, so the choice was a no-brainer. These guys did an outstanding and professional job. Highly recommended. read more

Placer Concrete is top-notch, and their work speaks to why they've been in business 20+ yr while other companies are very flighty. Called PC and Bob came out to our house to give us a bid. I was in the middle of still grading and if the quote worked out, I wanted to ensure I got on their calendar. Bob not only came out later that week, but was early.... Exactly, two things contractors don't usually do - I was already impressed with there professionalism. Although there was a bit of miss-communication and delay in work, once back on track, work was completed by the new date we agreed upon. His crew showed up in full force and framed everything. They cleaned up each evening leaving little to no mess. The day if the pour, they taped the house to protect it which j was very pleased to see. Although they attempted, and by all accounts did so, the reviewed the plastic too early. During the finishing, cream splashed up in the house and I have been working a little here and there to remove (this was a disappointment). They also cleaned there tools on a new block wall which left concrete and cream residue. All in all, great price, great crew and love the end result; their time and price beat others with a 20 history in the business. Would hands down give five stars if we didn't get delayed due to communication and residual / spots of splatter. I would call them again, but would mindful of these things. read more

I was introduced to Placer and found Bob, the president to be very open, engaging and honest. When I contracted with them for a full back patio tear out and hot tub pad install, I was introduced to Hiva, the Foreman. The whole team did an amazing job, even delayed by our recent 200 yr storm. But the team was amazing, attentive, and very personable. Hiva, as Bob said, was great! He answered all my questions, laughed at stupid jokes, but above all, did amazing job, and all my neighbors were admiring as well. I've already asked Placer to do another job for me and will continue to work with, and recommend them, for years to come. read more

Bob and his crew nailed it. We had a cracked and worn out concrete pathway that was a serious safety hazard for our guests. Bob and his crew came in and made quick work of the project. His team designed a new pathway with way more curb appeal than the original pathway. We couldn't be happier. We are planning on using Placer Concrete for some additional landscaping projects in the near future. Thank you Bob - The work is fantastic. read more

A man by the name of Bob came out to do an estimate. He was running 45 minutes late. He didn't bring any measuring tools. He suggested that I should provide all the calculations. Even if I did, any responsible contractor should re-measure and calculate to be sure. The job was not small--probably at least 10 to 20K--but for some reason, chose not to invest even the time to take any measurements for a bid. Maybe they just have too much work in the winter time--but it seems like laziness to me. Not a good first impression of a credible business. read more

Very satisfied with the quality of work delivered by Bob Garrison's Placer Concrete. Bob's a great guy who really cares about his customers and the integrity of his business. His price for our three car driveway and walkway was very fair as well. read more

They have done a few jobs at our house, and each time it is efficient and cleaned up well. This last job was to pour a step off the pool, and while they were pouring the concrete they realized a better option would be to make it into two steps instead of one. They quickly cut the wood to adjust the form, got more cement and magically it transformed. It's a much better look as it transitions off the deck. Great job to Havi and his crew. read more

Placer Concrete and Construction has our business moving forward! Our backyard was essentially a blank slate and really needed a concrete patio in order to allow us to host friends and family. Bob provided a realistic and fair quote on what it would cost to complete the project. A week and a half after his initial visit to the house we have a gorgeous new patio that is exactly what we were looking for. Bob's crews were friendly, efficient, and great at communicating what they needed to get the job done. Hiva and Dave were the leads on the project and they both did an excellent job. We could not be happier with the project and will continue to be patrons to Placer Concrete. Thank you to Bob and your crew, we appreciate the quality craftsmanship and customer service. read more

Bob and his team poured a new concrete patio in our backyard and he went way beyond what I expected. He immediately noticed that we had some drainage issues in our yard, and they installed a pipe under the patio for no extra charge. All of the workers were friendly, explained everything to me, and did great work. After the work was finished, Bob went out of his way to help me with some last minute fixes for water drainage. He was always available to answer our calls and wanted to make sure all our questions were answered. Their price was very reasonable and with all their help I feel like we got a fantastic deal. read more

Bob and team did an amazing job on our new backyard patio! I received bids from a number of concrete companies and knew from the start Bob knew what he was talking about and could be trusted. His prices are fair and he is very thorough in his assessment of the project and scope of work. His son Mike also did a fantastic job sealing our patio and was easy to work with. I recommend Placer Concrete to anyone in need of a new concrete patio or walkway!! read more

We are SOOOOOOOO Happy with the quality work, nice guys and attention to detail. Thank You!!! Bob, Michael, (Big) Dave, (Little) Dave, Hiva and the rest of the gang were wonderful, hardworking guys. We had a problem, as our old patio had 2 different aggregate surfaces that did not match each other and had begun to lift from each other and separate. Bob said no problem and set about making us happy. The guys went about removing the old ugly section of patio and formed the desired layout, then poured the "New" improved patio. We are thrilled after living with the 2 mismatched patio sections for years, that now match without flaw. Thanks Guys again. We will without hesitation recommend your expertise to all. read more

Had 2 other contractors show up and I got the run/around. If you dont want the job be man enough to tell me so. Bob G of Placer cement showed up - provided me a timely bid and I accepted. After my initial contact, owner Bob Garrison came personally to walk my project and provide my a quote for the work. I signed the contract in the midst of a wet March and said once the weather clears and it dries out I'd like to get the work done. Bob texted me on a Saturday saying this coming week looks clear and dry and I can have a crew there on Monday. Bob showed up with his crew and we walked the job and he made sure his crew was clear on what to do. He said it would be a three day job and he was done in three days. His crew was great and when I had a couple of adjustments I wanted, Bob was there to discuss and make sure we were all in the same page. Workmanship was excellent, crew cleaned up after and I'm a happy camper. Thanks, Bob and crew! read more

I can't say enough great things about placer concrete! Bob and his guys did an excellent and efficient job on customizing and pouring our concrete. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! There truly isn't enough stars to rate this company and we feel absolutely blessed to have found Bob and his team. We were dealt a bad hand with a former concrete contractor that left us with shoddy work and a horrific mess to somehow correct. Without knowing where to go or what steps to take next, we started with research using Yelp and a Google Reviews. Which is where we found Placer Concrete Construction. We noticed every review and I mean every review being five star rated with comments filled with praise and pure appreciation for the company's team and their work (not typical of any company) With that said we scheduled an appt with Bob, met with him a few days later and one of his first words were "it's going to be ok guys" and that was it, that's what sold us. From the beginning of our project to the end of our project Bob and his team displayed nothing but compassion and empathy. They were prompt, professional, honest, and answered any and every question we had, never once making us feel as if we were a bother but rather making us feel as if we were apart of their extended family. His team took pride in their work and the results show. The end result is absolutely remarkable. We are so incredibly pleased with how our concrete project turned out. We went from being devastated to overjoyed!! We can't say thank you enough to Bob, Dave T, Hiva, Willy, Dave N, Big and Little Cesar with a very special thank you to Premier Concrete Cutting who did an absolute fantastic job in removing over 1100 sq feet of concrete with precision and ease. Two of the best companies we have ever worked with!! Thank you again for everything you have done for our family. Truly stand up company! read more

Placer Concrete recently finished laying concrete in a small area next to our driveway. Bob was great to work with during the project. He came right out and had a bid for the job the next day. A few days later the crew was out and quickly prepared the area, and answered all my questions. The next morning they were pouring concrete. The crew worked fast but were very friendly and didn't seem to mind that I was talking with them while they worked. They did an excellent job and we are extremely pleased with all phases of this project. We would definitely recommend Placer to anyone looking for a concrete contractor. read more

Placer Concrete just completed my backyard patio and walkways and it looks fantastic!! Bob G., Dave and the team completed the whole project in 2 1/2 days from setting forms, pouring to cleanup. From the initial call for an estimate, which I got in writing, to the last bit of cleanup this crew was dedicated to my project and getting it done efficiently and correctly. I appreciated that they asked us to check the forms to make sure the size and shape was exactly what we wanted. I also used Placer Landscaping Services to do some yard cleanup and repair sprinklers and they did a great job too! I highly recommend Placer Concrete. Ask for Bob - he'll get back to you!! read more

Just had concrete installed in my side yard from the back patio to the driveway. Bob was very quick to schedule the appointment for an estimate and had the estimate to me by the next day. After getting a few estimates from other contractors, I was impressed that Bob's estimate had all of the relevant details. Not only was Bob much cheaper than the others, but he also included the size of rebar, the locations of the dowling into the existing sections of concrete, and specified what sack concrete they would use. Dave and the crew showed up on time, were quick and detail oriented, and cleaned up at the end of the day. As my job was a smaller job, I had to wait a bit until they had the concrete truck and pumper in the area, but that was no big deal. The job came out looking spectacular, I couldn't be happier. I was in the construction field for 15 years, and Dave and his crew are not the "blow and go" type crew, they are obviously true craftsmen. I will definitely be calling them for any other concrete work I need done. read more

Exceptional Quality and Service. Bob and his crew were great to work with. They provided a competitive bid which explained the entire work and payment structure. They started the day they said they would start and finished a day earlier than their estimated completion date. The accommodated a very tight schedule and a complex design. They paid close attention to the details and communicated with us daily to insure we were satisfied and they were meeting expectations. I am an Architect and this is the first time I have used them. I don't usually refer people, however they exceeded my expectations with respect to quality and honesty. I will refer them to my clients. read more

Bob's crew did an excellent job with our driveway + extension and slab on the side of our home for the shed install. The crew was efficient, on time and responsible with their duties and respected our property. Bob visited the site at least 3-4 times daily to ensure we were satisfied with the work. We received 3 quotes, all within the same price range however, Placer was able to schedule the work within our timeframe. We are very pleased and happy with the results and highly recommend you consider Placer for your construction and cement projects. read more

After having two other concrete contractors flake out on us, Bob of Placer Concrete was a very welcome change. They were professional, prompt, thorough and a great value. They were actually slightly cheaper than our other bids and they were SO much better. They stayed at it until the job was done and it turned out great. When they couldn't find the old color that matched right away, Bob kept searching until he found it. My only complaint was they accidentally damaged a curb and flower bed, but Bob was eager to make it right and we came to an agreement on all that. So even my complaint was handled professionally and to my satisfaction. I was also able to pay online, which I found convenient. Highly recommend. read more
