So I had really wanted to work with this business because of the great reviews they got on Yelp. Based on what their Yelp page said, I wrote them a message for a free quote. The owner, George, wrote me back saying he would need to see the area first and gave me the number to call and set up a free quote. In the last two weeks, I have called multiple times and left three messages and got zero response. I figured they must be busy and so, based on their reputation on this website, I continued to try and work with them. Finally, I replied to George asking if I was given the correct phone number because when you call, you get a generic voicemail. I asked him why I haven't gotten a response after many attempts to contact them. He told me that the reason he had not responded was because he was booked. Business must be really good and he must not care to simply not respond and let me know that there was no availability. I don't understand how long that takes in a phone message to explain but an hour after I write him a message on Yelp, he answers. He has lost me as a customer. I will not be recommending his business. He must be doing very well because, as I found his business on Yelp, I was only able to contact him on Yelp, that he would know I would write him a bad review on Yelp for the poor customer service. George just finished our project and we couldn't be happier. From following ppe guidelines to the final clean up, George was professional all the way through the project. It was 2 1/2 yards and consisted of a short sidewalk, a small patio extension and a small sidewalk extension. He ( and Justin?) dug out, formed, put down rebar and installed pins in the existing concrete to lock the old and new sections together. The area was cleaned up at the end of each day. He was able to look at the existing patio and adjust his pour to allow for proper run off because I had moved a couple of drains for some other landscaping. The finished product came out great. When it was all done, I was telling him how pleased we were that everything looked great. His response was "it's supposed to." I think that statement summed up everything for me. His knowledge, skills and abilities all come together to produce a superior product. I can't recommend him enough. read more

George gave me a quote range, came onsite, surveyed my property, and left stating that, based on the requested project specs, it would still be within the quoted range. Messaged me the next day and gave me a quote $600 higher. I asked why the quote was $600 higher? He said it was because they needed "a pump and site situation". That's BS. There was no mention of any of this while he was onsite surveying the project area. And as mentioned above, following his onsite assessment, he said the quote would still fall within the price range he originally gave me. The project was for a simple brush finished concrete backyard patio and walkway: they were going to need a pump to begin with. I mentioned I had a few bids out and said I'd prefer to work with him based on cost and project completion time. Instead of staying true on his quote, he tried to charge me no-value-added costs for elements that were already factored into his original quote. Do not appreciate you trying to rip me off for $600.
