All I can say is good thing Ben in nice or else this review would be worse..I just wouldn't take my car here again unless it was an emergency. Joe acts like he could care less, Lori was often not listening. I almost got charged another 150$ on top of my 1000$ for their mistake. They also had me sign maintenance documents on someone else's car and almost didn't catch it, because Lori wasn't paying attention when she was talking to me. After day 1, I am 1000$ in the can on my Honda and they skipped the initial 60 point inspection and I had to come back later in the week to get that done. So already the experience started off shaky. The customer service isn't terrible, the warranties are really what you pay for. I'd say Ben is nice but most other workers don't care as much as you do about your car. The mechanics seem nice too(probably bc of how much money they're making with warranties) They charged me insane amount of labor fee but I guess it's because of the 36k/3yr warranty... it's not bad but if you really stand by your work and know what you're doing.....then you don't need the safety net of warranties and you don't need to charge people insane prices! I see how they make their money.. On day 4 I came back, they did a good 60 point inspection, just annoyed that I paid 1000$ and had to come back bc they didn't do their job initially! Don't charge someone 1000$ and include free inspection and not include it. It looks bad total inconvenience for me and my delivery job, and they offered NO apologies or discounts for my trouble. I'm a young adult who had very little money to spend on repairs so I personally wouldn't recommend this place at all unless money isn't an issue for you. 1000$ for a water temp sensor and IACV/gasket on a 25year old Honda? Insane... it's because of their warranty. if you charge that amount you better be PERFECT in every other facet of the customer experience. This place is NOT cheap. If you want a good shop with solid work, honest people that give you the best customer service, as well as honesty and communication about pricing and options....check out my go-to shop....Fitzgeralds Auto Care Center in Costa Mesa! Ask for Rick or Dan. Fitzgeralds will literally have technicians on the phone with customers explaining the techs thought process, any attempts to fix issues, AND they also call you right before they perform work to walk u through all your options. At PSS, you are NOT allowed to talk to mechanics. You're forced to speak with a parts supervisor that has even less information on your car! I love that Fitzgeralds keeps that open communication with the customer so everyone is on the same page with price and it helps the customer realize that the shop isn't out to make the most money off of you. I was disappointed with my recent experience at Placentia Super Service. My previous review was glowing because the service was quick and easy! This time around it took a lot longer despite having an appointment. I went in for an oil change and tire repair and came back four hours later for an oil change and no tire repair. I was told by the technician that the tire had nothing wrong with it but when I was driving on it the air pressure was going down again! I am annoyed that my concerns about the tire wasn't addressed. On top of that they didn't bother resetting the digital alert on my car to notify me on my next oil change. I won't be coming back for an oil change, it was too expensive... $110 when I could've gone to jiffy lube or my car dealer for much cheaper. read more

Requested an alternator replacement quote through Yelp! services. Benjamin from Placentia Super Service responded. I appreciated the quick response time. Little back story of how it led me to Placentia Super Service. As I was driving, I noticed lights coming on the dashboard and the engine slowly giving out. So I pulled over and parked. After searching for the issue...everything pointed to a failing alternator. That's when I reached out to Yelp! services. I received 4 total quotes. One was cheaper than the others but was located near Downtown Fullerton. I had pulled over at a 7-Eleven on Kramer & Orangethorpe. I knew if I let the car rest I can restart it up and drive it a short distance. I was a repeat customer with PSS. The team overall was very efficient and professional. However, after a few visits, one associate, Paul, tried to sell me very expensive rack and pinion repairs my vehicle didn't even need. To this day, 40,000 miles later, my rack and pinion is still fully functional and never needed repairs. My shout out to Management for handling the situation to make sure that this doesn't happen again. I recently took my Corvette in for a 50,000 mile service. The crew at Placentia Super Service ran a series of bumper to bumper tests & visual inspections. Their service coordinator then went over each area of concern with me, sharing test results & photos of various parts that I should consider replacing due to wear. There was absolutely no pressure & I felt comfortable in making all decisions as to what work I wanted done, including the use of OEM parts.The work was completed in one day & the shop even provided me with a ride home, & picked me up at home for a ride back when the work was completed. The improvement in performance was immediately evident to me. The car actually seemed to run better than the day I purchased it new & drove it off the dealership lot.
