I've been to Fisk two times now- they replaced my brakes and an oil change. I was able to get in same day both times. Whoever is doing the customer service training over there has got a fantastic system going. Dealing with the public isn't rocket science- but it's priceless to me. I've been to Fisk automotive twice. The first time was to get my timing belt fixed as well as get a diagnostic test on other issues I was having with my Honda. Joel was very informative and didn't rush the process of letting me know everything I needed to know. The second time I went I wanted to get my car worked on from what I knew I needed, and Joel helped me again as well and was very polite about what I wanted done. I went back today, 8/26/2025 to pick my vehicle up and Christian was welcoming referring to me by name while getting my keys ready for me. These guys are either incompetent or crooks. The last four times I've brought my cars in, they claim they fixed the problem, but without fail, the check engine light comes on 10 minutes after I leave their shop. Twice it was the tire pressure light, which they claim they fixed, but the light kept coming on every time I brought it in. Fisk told me to "ignore the light and just drive further." Which resulted in me getting a flat tire. I then had to pay for new tires over a holiday weekend because Fisk failed to fix the problem and told me to keep driving despite the light being on. Fisk has lost my business. I've spent over $20,000 over the last two years for my three cars they serviced. I no longer trust Fisk to reliably fix my cars and keep my family safe on the roads. read more

Chris mosalek is the owner of fisk automotive and electron automotive! He is a unethical mechanic! I had a terrible experience with him, and the bureau of automotive repair got involved and chris was cited with 8 violations from the bureau of automotive repair. Philips Copeland was the investigating officer from the Bureau of automotive repair. I ended up having to take my care to the Toyota dealership to fix the problem after paying Chris mosalek Over 4000 dollars for the FIRST REPAIR!! After paying Chris Mosalek over 4000 dollars the car ran worse than before I took it in!!! Chris mosalek told me to bring the car back and he would fix it without charge!! So I took it back a week goes by and Chris mosalek called me and wanted to charge me over 3000 dollars now!!! He told me the car was running great! When I arrived to take the car for a test drive they would not let me drive it! They asked for payment first! So I paid them drove off the lot and noticed the check engine light was on and the car was running horrible STILL!!! Thats when I took it to the toyota dealer and paid them another 1000 dollars and they fixed it !!! This ended up in the orange county superior court found Chris mosalek liable for the cost at the Toyota dealership because damage that may have been caused by fisk automotive from working on my car!!! read more

This shop owner really has the balls to bad mouth a customer that didn't like his shammy practices all due to his bottom line just trying to make his money but not listen to what we wanted and or needed . And as I scroll through these reviews it seems like this is a common denominator apart from all of the sheeple that like getting there wallets flushed by these crooks. We brought a rav4 in for a transmission issue and there people are wanted to put the window trim and the air box back in along with a motor mount before even trying to diag the car. It's like as if we went to a doctor with a heart issue and the doc told us well before we could work on your heart we need to fix your balding head. Sure the car was towed in for being sitting for so long because we couldn't figure out the issue with the transmission at home or much less have the time to so we brought it to some supposed professionals to fix the car but they had a different agenda. They are crooks. After I paid $4000 for the service I thought they have provided the problem still persisted. After a couple tows back to the shop to rectify the issue and a month without my car, Fisk calls to tell me there's nothing else they can do because they can't find the misfire. As an Army veteran I put my good faith in this shop and assumed they were capable of repairing my misfire, but they simply gave up leaving me $4200 in debt and I was left to get rid of my car. Don't make the same mistake as me-dont bring your car here!. They withhold information, make up stories to cover their tracks and Lie! Day 1- called and spoke to Joe and first question I asked was do they work with insurance companies. He asked what insurance and after I told him he said yes! Informed him I wanted to bring the car in, have them inspect, send the quote in and once approved bring the car back for them to start the work! Day 2- Brought the car in, they tell me i have to leave it there. Ok called a Uber and went on my way. Called later that day and the guy tells me the check engine light is because of the Catalytic converter (brought it in for the ABS system) when I asked him about the ABS he says it's fine nothings wrong with it. I head over to pick the car up and told we have to pay the 149! Husband explains the insurance is paying and once the quote is approved then we are bringing the car back. We take the car and the next day I get a call from Chris that we need to leave the car in case the insurance needs pictures and there was a file mix up cause they supposedly had another same car in the shop that was there for the Catalytic converter! Brought the car back and I called the insurance daily to have the quote approved(which wasn't sent in until 2 days later) after 2 weeks the quote was approved on a Friday and the car was finished that Tuesday. Stacy called to let me know the car was done and ready for pick up. Couple of minutes after Chris calls to say they can't release the car until they are paid either by us or the insurance check is in hand! He had multiple times to tell me this before hand! He ASSUMED i would know but never have we had our car held when going through the insurance company. He said "this is industry standard" when in reality it's just his company policy that he never bothered to disclose! So now we have to wait until the check is received until we get our car! Top it off he tried to gaslight me about the whole situation and lied saying he called State Farm this morning and spoke to someone and they said the check was never issued or mailed but couldn't give me the name of who he spoke to or the number he called! When i called my agent back, he said he spoke to Stacy this morning and a Chris never called in and spoke to anyone cause they have to notate the file when anyone calls! read more

If you're looking for great mechanics, you can stop your search. You've found them. I first met Chris, the new owner of Fisk, in March of 2018 when my Lexus dealer told me that for about $9,000, a leak required me to replace the transaxle of my RX400h hybrid. I took the car over to Electron, Chris's other shop, where he basically told me 'nonsense'. Nine hundred dollars later, I had a resealed transaxle and no leak. Now, 4+ years later, both the seal and the transaxle are fine. Chris, his manager Joe, and their team are great mechanics. They are honest, knowledgeable, skilled, thorough, and really nice people. If something needs to be fixed, they will tell you. If something can wait, or doesn't require repair, they will tell you that as well. Not only do they know standard gas powered cars, but also they are experts on batteries, hybrids, and electric vehicles. They empower us to keep our cars for many years, knowing that they will be well and honestly serviced. It's a shame that the current overall Yelp rating for Fisk is unfairly low. Went to dealer first, they told me would take 5 days before they could even look at my truck for repairs, AAA recommended this place. We dropped off at Fisk Auto, they looked at my vehicle and said computer board needed to be replaced. Truck had been underwater and why repair was needed. They indicated was complicated problem. They did fix everything on my truck. Stacey keep me informed on the progress of the repair. Jose was very knowledgeable and informative also. They did a good job on the complicated repairs. I had an issue after the repairs were completed which they fixed right away, no questions asked and no additional costs. I want to give a shout out to Fisk Automotive in Fullerton, CA...... After I retrieved my stolen RV, I had it towed to Fisk Automotive. The damaged I knew about was the driver's door lock and the ignition switch along with the missing electronic trailer brake controller. After they were able to start my RV, they discovered that the catalytic converter had been stolen too and as the OEM part is no longer available, they advised me to contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair and make an appointment with the referee to have them determine what part to replace it with. The referee contacted me with the part number and Fisk Automotive was able to have it installed. Fisk Automotive also found that my rear trailer connection for my trailer lights and brakes was ripped apart, they had to do some major rewiring to get everything working again Fisk Automotive has been outstanding on getting my rig back together and on the road. read more

When i called for a vehicle inspection i was greeted by jack who was extremely informative and gave me the run down of the different inspection packages he offered. I didn't even bother to call another shop because of how well jack spoke to me over phone. Making an appointment was really easy. When i arrived my vehicle was taken for a test drive and passed that,they continued with the full inspection they sent me a result sheet via text message that gave a easy to understand check list. I first came here in 2016 with my then 05 Accord and the repairs and service were top notch . Jack complimented the car and told me I had at least another 200k miles left on it. My dad gets all the credit though, because it was his car before it was mine! I moved to Boston in 2018 and now that I returned I was looking for a used car to purchase by owner. I brought in 2 different cars for inspection prior to purchasing and I'm sooooo happy I did. Harley broke down the inspection reports to me in lamen terms(lol) and warned(told, really) to not purchase unless repairs made by seller or discounted for much work required to make the car used but whole!! She and Freddy told me to be patient and keep looking. It took me 2 months to find the best, used car and very happy I took their advice. These guys are professional, efficient and honest.
