Came in for a smog test. Very polite and personable service. Very informative and helpful. I brought in my work car, a Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid. I recently received new License Plates which I totally forgot I needed to be on before the test. The guys were kind enough to lend me their screw driver so that I could put them on before my test. Inspection passed, photos were submit and all is good. $71. They may not be the most affordable in the area, but they're reliable, kind and honest. Granted, I've only come in for a Smog Test so I can't speak on any other repair or services. 0/10 I went to this shop and they said they couldn't plug it due to the plug " not holding" so I went to another shop and they said that UNION AUTO CENTER put a dummy plug and not a proper plug so it rendered the tire Unrepairable. I was stubborn so I then went to a 3rd shop across the street called Americas Tire and they said the same thing as the 2nd shop that Union auto center purposely damaged my tire by using a "dummy plug" rendering my tire unrepairable. Both shops said that if they used the proper plug it would have been fine and repairable but instead they wanted to damage my tire to sell me a tire and when I refused they got pissy and gave me attitude. Terrible experience here. Recommended by my AAA tow truck driver. Customer service is laughable. They spoke to me like I was an idiot. Paid for the diagnostic just for them to tell me my 12V battery needed to be replaced and they'd charge $600. THEN they can look at other necessary repairs. No mention of a AAA discount, I had to ask about it AFTER they quoted me. Absolutely not, take your business elsewhere. Informing AAA as well. Would NOT recommend. Better customer service. Treat people kindly and don't rush when they're asking legitimate questions. They basically kicked me out once I paid, if there was a door it would have hit me on the way out. Second time they I bring my car to this place: both time I almost got rip off! So I brought my car here to figuré out what's was wrong with my car. I paid $150 just to diagnose it. The mechanic told me it was going to be no less then couple thousand just to start depending on what he finds. I have been coming here for the last three years. I love the way they take care of me and make sure that my car is taken care of. They are respectful and polite and don't try to hustle you or say something is wrong with your vehicle that is not even wrong. I went today told him that my check engine light was on and that it said I need coolant, when I went in they told me it was a sensor issue and everything was fine and I didn't even have to pay for anything. I definitely recommend for anybody that needs a oil change smog check or just a routine maintenance to go to this spot. After spending thousands of dollars to service my cars at the dealerships in the last year, I was looking for an alternative. I started off by having a smog check completed on my Subaru and the service was quick. Later in the week, I decided to have the sparks plugs replaced on my wife's Highlander. Kader texted me an estimate and sent me pictures recommending to also replace the air and cabin filters. This shop uses OEM parts, replaced the plenum gasket with spark plugs, and cleaned the throttle body, just like the dealership would have. Needed my Smog check so AAA referred me here, so I thought it would be good but don't. As I approached the place, it did look a little sketchy. They did a check and told me I failed, which I found odd because everything was good and the previous owner replaced everything before they sold it to me (which was 3 months ago). He then proceeded to tell me that they needed to change something in the engine which would cost $600. I told them it's okay and I'll have my dealer change it, which when I had them do it, they said it was totally fine and it passed the smog check. Don't go here they will try to rip you off and quote u something that needs to be changed but not needed. I understand times are tough rn but being dishonest isn't the way to go. read more

Everyone is rude and snippy when you ask questions about what you are paying for and will charge you an arm and a leg for something simple. They charged me about $800 to replace spark plugs.... And not only that, they wasted my whole day, I came when they first opened at 8am and left the shop at closing time....... Ridiculous isn't even the word. I came for a brake and lights inspection. They both costed around 177 and for me that was a bit high. Scott was very nice to me but the manager was extremely rude. First he told me that my fog light was out and it did not know that I needed my fog light to work in order to pass. He told me that a light bulb would cost 40$. Turns out one of the wires was cut and I needed to do some electrical work.I told him if I just removed the fog light housing would it pass and he said yes but u are going to have to pay for the inspection again. It took me not even one min to remove it. I would like to add Scott was very nice and understanding I wish he was the manager.I would stay away from this place if you like to save your money read more

So, the car we fixed here a few months ago is having problems and we got another auto shop to look at it. The conclusion is that what Union Auto did a few months ago is the exact problem now. We were suggested to take the car back to Union to have them make their wrong right. But we decided not to. With our experience last time, they may charge us another $1000 before they would let us go again. What a bad experience last time is is costing us more money to fix what Union has done.
