0/10 I went to this shop and they said they couldn't plug it due to the plug " not holding" so I went to another shop and they said that UNION AUTO CENTER put a dummy plug and not a proper plug so it rendered the tire Unrepairable. I was stubborn so I then went to a 3rd shop across the street called Americas Tire and they said the same thing as the 2nd shop that Union auto center purposely damaged my tire by using a "dummy plug" rendering my tire unrepairable. Both shops said that if they used the proper plug it would have been fine and repairable but instead they wanted to damage my tire to sell me a tire and when I refused they got pissy and gave me attitude. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE BEWARE!!

I have been coming here for the last three years. I love the way they take care of me and make sure that my car is taken care of. They are respectful and polite and don't try to hustle you or say something is wrong with your vehicle that is not even wrong. I went today told him that my check engine light was on and that it said I need coolant, when I went in they told me it was a sensor issue and everything was fine and I didn't even have to pay for anything. I definitely recommend for anybody that needs a oil change smog check or just a routine maintenance to go to this spot. I even got brand new wipers and was lucky enough to get a military discount.

They replaced the entire engine, and while it took about two weeks, they really came through. Naseem was incredibly kind--he even offered to help me get a hotel, which I truly appreciated. The team kept me updated and worked through all the issues with my car. A year later, my car is still running strong--honestly better than when I first bought it. Huge thanks to the team here.

My car was towed to Lawrence Auto Repair on 11/11/25 for installation of a used transmission with 78,000 miles. I paid $2,863.72 on 11/17/25, which included a 90-day warranty. On my drive home, the car immediately began jerking while cruising. I contacted Sam and was told to bring the car back. Because I was almost home, I returned the vehicle the following day. I was told the car would need to stay a few hours while they waited for a part, and transportation home was provided. Later that same day, I was told the car was ready. At that time, I was told the transmission was still not right but advised to drive it 300-400 miles and return if the problem continued. Not feeling comfortable with that advice, I took the car to a different shop on 11/21/25 for a 70-point inspection. That inspection revealed burnt, milky transmission fluid and metal on the drain plug, indicating internal transmission failure and contamination. After receiving this information, I immediately contacted Lawrence Auto Repair and requested a refund, as I no longer trusted the repair. Sam then offered to have the transmission rebuilt by another shop at no additional cost, with a 3-year warranty. I returned the car on 11/22/25. Sam was apologetic at that time. I picked up my vehicle on 12/5/25. The final invoice reflects a 36-month / 3,600-mile warranty. While the shop ultimately corrected the situation, this issue should never have occurred in the first place. While I appreciate the final resolution, this experience permanently damaged my trust.

After that repair, my check engine light suddenly came on--even though it wasn't on before. The first shop told me it was a problem with the mass air flow sensor and tried to charge me to fix it, which didn't feel right to me. So I decided to come here for a second opinion, and I'm really glad I did. The mechanic took the time to properly diagnose the issue and walked me through everything step by step. Within about an hour, he figured out that it wasn't the air flow sensor at all--it was just a blown fuse. That alone saved me a lot of money and potentially from being overcharged elsewhere. What really stood out was the honesty and communication. He explained clearly what went wrong, didn't try to upsell anything, and made sure I understood the situation. On top of that, he even aired up my tires for free, which was a nice touch. Fast, honest, and affordable service like this is hard to find. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this shop to others.

This review is well earned by the sales rep Brian at the front desk. Calling Brian's customer…read moreservice one star is generous, to say the least. I came in today to get a quote for a check engine light related to an O2 sensor. Before coming in, I had already priced the part so I could confirm exactly what was needed. Prior to agreeing to the $200 diagnostic, I asked Brian whether any of that fee would be credited toward the repair if I moved forward. He told me that **half** would be credited, meaning $100, which I felt was fair. Based on that, I expected something close to the following: * Diagnostic: $200 ($100 credited) * Labor: $200 (install time is .9 hrs + 1 hr diagnostic) * O2 Sensor: $179 (the same OEM part costs $59.98 at any auto parts store) Brian then quoted me **$579 total**. When I asked about the previously mentioned diagnostic credit, he declined to honor it. I also asked if I could bring in my own part. That's when things really went downhill--and honestly, I wouldn't have posted this review if it weren't for what he said next. In a very belittling tone, Brian responded, *"Do you bring your own lunch to a restaurant?"* He then continued by saying the building costs $10K a month and that they're expensive because they can be. That may be true, but I'll never know--because I would never, under any circumstances, do business with someone who treats customers that way. Thanks for all your "help," Brian.
