Just an ok experience. This place is very unique and beautiful. We ordered the smelt fries (little fish fries) and they were quite good and unique with corn in tartar sauce. My husband ordered their clam chowder which was odd with a strange sour flavor. He never sends things back, but did this time. His chicken pesto sandwich was not evenly cooked with one side overcooked and the other somewhat undercooked. Understandable, since they did not pound it to an even thickness. Bun was soggy from tomatoes. My flatbread was ok, but had been sold to me as chicken, and arrived with steak. Waiter apologized and said they must have changed it during the evening rush. Kind of odd. Overall if in the area again I might try it once more, since there were some decent items and lovely setting. read more

This restaurant was outstanding both for service and prices. Both of our meals were excellent and all food and drink were reasonable. We sat on the patio and had the most spectacular view of one of the most beautiful golf courses in Central Wisconsin. Even though there was a wedding reception going on at the same time we were not disturbed by noise or crowds and even enjoyed a leisurely walk around the club house after dinner. We stopped in on Saturday evening with a group of six. We didn't have reservations and were told there would be a 30 minute wait. We didn't mind waiting but actually only had to wait about 10 minutes before getting a table. It was a pleasant surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed the Black Bean and Veggie Burger! I like bean and veggie burgers, a lot and am quite particular with them. It is seriously one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Others in our group had a Cuban Sandwich, Build Your Own Pizza, Thai Peanut Pasta with Tofu and the Blue Plate Special which was an Indian curry dish. One couple ordered appetizers which included cheese curds and the Crostini Trio. We all really enjoyed our food and the service was great. Waitress was friendly and attentive. We ate there on a Sunday evening. We were told that there would be a 20 min wait, so we took seats at an empty table in the adjacent bar. When a waitress finally arrived, she shooed us to another seating area to wait (and wait, and wait) for our drink order before we were seated. Tried PJs for the first time after hearing many good things. I was impressed by the food, atmosphere, and prices. I had the "special" mac-and-cheese with smoked salmon and it was quite tasty (could have been a bit more salmon). The atmosphere is excellent and I love the fire pits outside, however we had a few issues with customer service. The first time we tried to go they were closed without notice which was pretty irritating. When we did make it there we went to the pizza buffet, which we were really excited about and were told goes until the restaurant closes. However, around 8PM (2 hours before close), they stopped making new pizzas and seemed to be holding on the ones the had for a little bit too long. I had to ask the cooks personally to make me a vegetarian pizza after being told that they were slowing down on making them because there weren't many customers. I considered this to be pretty rude since we were still going to be there for awhile and I feel all customers should be treated with the same level of service, respect, and quality. read more

We tried to reserve a table for graduation day 2 weeks in advance and they told us they don't take reservations. We tried a week later they said "we don't take reservations" we show up on UWSP graduation day and they tell us we should've made a reservation. We had to wait 2 hours. We found out later they made the decision to take reservations on special occasions 2 days before. Then we we ordered food they messed up our order and only brought half the food out while the rest sat starving. We've always enjoyed PJ's - good service , good food, nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Hopefully our most recent experience was a fluke. When I asked the waiter about the evening's special, he reported that they had run out. After we ordered dinner and drinks, he returned to report that they'd run out of our choice of wine. When dinner arrived we were told two of the plates were hot and to be careful. It turns out the stroganoff was only warm. When we got the dishes back, the food was still not hot, and was very, very salty. read more

I'm not one to write a review let a alone a bad review on,Ds a restaurant but I went to Pj' at SentryWorld for the first time with my fiance and the atmosphere was exciting but the service was extremely slow I had to ask a different waitress to get silverware then after waiting for 15 mins our waitress came and took our order wall waiting for our food a differentwit tress came over to us and welcomed us to pj's and asked us if we waited something to drink not realizing she was at the the wrong table. Now sitting waiting for our food now at 50 mins our food showed up and everything was cold so I told our waitress and she only said she would tell the kitchen they didn't even ask to fix it I was so disappointed I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to them read more

Went on a weeknight on a whim. It wasn't too busy around 5pm, but got busier. Portions were decent for the area. Price was good for what we got. We spent less than $30 for two adult entrees with a couple of beers and a soda. Will keep in mind for other weeknight dinners. The only downsides were the appetizer options and the chalkboard menu. Most of the appetizers seemed to be different variations on the same thing. The chalkboard menu with the different specials of the day/current veggies/pizza/and dessert menu can only be read from the hostess stand. We were seated so fast we didnt have a chance to read it. Delicious food and awesome beer selection (think local WI, MN and even Chicago beers). I highly recommend the pretzels, fried chicken sandwich and bratwurst special. Great food, gorgeous views. The space is beautiful, especially on the patio overlooking the golf course. High-end look, but not fussy or pretentious. Let me start by saying the food and atmosphere is amazing!!! My issue with PJ's is the service. The last couple times I've come here I have not been impressed especially for the higher price point. I have issues with paying for poor service so my family choose to only come here occasionally which is sad because like I said the food is amazingly good and the renovations are so welcoming. read more

A great dining value in central Wisconsin! From the moment you drive up you are struck by the beauty of the facility ( even in the winter) and are thinking this is going to be pricey. The inside is equally as pleasing to the eye and full of nice little touches. The menu has just the right number of options. I had the smothered ham which had great flavor and quality ingredients. My wife had the pork carnitas and my son had the spaghetti. They were equally pleased with the quality and flavor. I also had a great bloody Mary that you could tell had a homemade mix. The best part of all this was we paid about the same or less as we would have elsewhere! Our server was attentive and had a great personality but I get the feeling they are understaffed. That leads me to the only reason they did not get five stars. We were promised a wait of 20 minutes and it ended up being 35. Understandable on a Friday night but can be drag. We would have liked to experience the great atmosphere a little more but we were seated in a little side room. That was OK as it allowed for quiet conversation, but didn't have the same vibe as the rest of the place. We will definitely be back and would like to try their pizzas and would like to experience the outdoor seating in summer. read more

This is my 3rd time to visit PJ's and 2nd time to eat there. (The first time, the wait was going to be too long prior to a scheduled event we were attending). Pros: Great vibe and decor. A simple menu with daily specials--mostly comfort food types of offerings (mac and cheese, soup and sandwich, pizza). Smaller portions. Cons: Ironically I went to eat there for the second time tonight because I had a voucher for two complimentary dinners since the service was so poor the first time. One would think when I handed the server a copy of the email apologizing for the poor service and noting the two comped meals that the server would then go above and beyond to try to impress us with the service. Nope! Same situation as last time. We waited over 40 minutes for our food and our server never stopped by to check on us, offer us an appetizer during our long wait, or update us on the progress of our food. She did fill our water glasses once during this time. We didn't have complicated meals either. I ordered fried walleye with new potatoes and a salad. The salad and fish were fine. The potatoes were a bit hard and lacking in flavor. There was a tiny piece of bread on the plate too that looked like a potato and was mixed in with them. My husband got a steak and asked for it to be cooked medium well. It was very well done and dry. Most of his french fries were small pieces like the dregs of a frozen bag. The food wasn't bad, but was merely adequate. However, poor service two times in a row is what assures that we won't be returning to PJ's. We can get the same caliber of "bar food" at other restaurants in Point for less money and much better service. read more

We have eaten here about 6 times now, foods good/average, service not that great, went out with a group of 8 for my nephews 23rd birthday, arrived at 5:30, didn't walk out of the place till after 9, told the waiter 4 separate bills, he put it all on 1, after he corrected the bill situation he split up the appetizer on all 4 bills, drinks were also mixed up, in the end we just were passing money around the table, he was very confused and overwhelmed, this has happened before, not sure if we will return with a large group again read more

My boyfriend and I went there on Tuesday for dinner, he ordered the soup and sandwich. He chose the Beer Cheese soup which was anything but flavor. I never seen him put so much salt in anything to get some sort of taste out of it. I ordered the Rueben Sandwich. It was not corned beef. The taste was more like regular roast beef. The only positive about the restaurant is the atmosphere. However, they could do without the gigantic picture of cows on the wall. Also, they should add some more TVs. Horrible experience .... We arrived around 7:00 p.m. and had a 30 minute wait which was fine. We had a couple of drinks and was called for our table around 7:30. We placed our order for 2 wood oven pizza's. At approx. 7:45 our server informed us they ran out of pizza dough??? Ok not sure how the signature item on the menu is not available but anyways we re-order (a salad and a hamburger) along with a couple of appetizers. The appetizers arrive around 8:00 p.m. and was very good. At 8:25 we ask our server how much longer it will be for entrees and she states 5 more minutes. At 8:45 still no meal so we decide enough is enough and decide to leave. I informed the Hostess of the problem and tell her we just want to pay for the drinks and appetizers. After 5 more minutes she cannot find our server so I ask for the manager. She goes looking for the manager and after 5 more minutes, she comes back and cannot locate the manager.
