I've heard great things about Muse and finally got around to trying it. The space itself is really beautiful. I felt more like I was in a restaurant in Chicago than Stevens Point. We did get there a little early so we sat at the bar and ordered a drink. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. We were promptly seated and our waitress was super helpful and very good. Probably some of the best service I've had. The food was really good, but I wasn't overly blown away. The halibut was cooked perfectly and was very flakey. I just wasn't crazy about the sauce that was with it. I definitely would like to come back and try some other items on the menu! read more

Muse is by far the best restaurant in the Stevens Point area. The food was incredible as was the service and ambiance! I had the salmon and my husband had the seafood ravioli. Both were perfectly prepared and exquisitely presented. Our wine and water glasses were continuously filled. The chef also graciously sent out a wonderful blueberry aperitif. Another plus for me is the ability to make reservations on Open Table, and it was perfect to have your choice of inside or outside at the time of booking. We did have a slight problem finding the restaurant at Sentry but only because we followed the GPS directly to their address which puts you at their office building parking garages. Had we gone just one entrance further on North Point we would have seen the signage (our fault). Highly recommend. read more

Revisited for my birthday this December and once again the food and staff were beyond expectations. The scallops had a wonderful sear that locked in a buttery soft interior. The steaks were again cooked perfectly. We managed to save room for dessert and I'm really glad we did. The seasonal pumpkin mousse was a fluffy sweet finish to a great meal. We stayed at Sentry World resort and dined at Muse for our Anniversary. We had an amazing experience and look forward to going back. The restaurant itself is beautiful - very elegant and tastefully decorated. Our waitress was so wonderful and made the evening even more special. The food was Devine! I had the crab stuffed trout and my husband had the hanger steak. We shared the best deviled eggs we have ever had for a starter and the chocolate covered cherries for dessert. It would have been a 5 star but I am taking one star away for the front desk staff speaking to me with accusatory tone. We had reservations and they had construction going on and we were not able to enter/get to the restaurant. Despite having to call them multiple times and not getting clear instructions and being stuck in a parking garage for 30 min cause the signs were confusing until a hotel staff came all the way to the garage I was in, got in my car and showed me how to get to the restaurant then walked me to the front desk for the front desk staff to speak to me like I was purposely late and that someone called me and gave me directions the night before (which never happened) then she didn't even apologize after I stated that no one called to provide the directions nor confirm the reservations the night before. I would have given it a 3 star at this point since that was so rude. However the waitress was so great and apologized and the cook gave us complimentary plates for our troubles and first round of drinks. So that saved a star for their service. I have no idea how Muse never got on my radar. For a number of years, we have a contingency of folks amble on over to Steven Point for the Central Waters Anniversary Party (highly recommend one attends this), and we usually hit one of the supper clubs for an old-timey dinner experience (think brandy old fashions and prime rib) for a good time. This year we mixed it up and I don't know how I came by this place but, we ended up here. The frustrating part is if I knew of this place we would have been eating here every year we've gone to Stevens Point. You may want to pay attention as to where this place is located. Muse can be found by the Sentry Theater, on the Sentry Insurance campus. The place is hard to visually describe outside of saying the restaurant that time forgot. The interior is certainly 70's chic but in a nostalgic and cool way. I posted some pictures at my check-in and I think you will understand what I am saying. Upon being seated, I was a bit concerned because we were only one of four dining parties on a Friday evening. No diners usually portend that something is wrong, but I was soon to be pleasantly proved wrong. We started off with cocktails which rotate with the seasons, more importantly, they have a changing old fashioned. All of the cocktails are inventive and well made. Since we took a Lyft there, multiple cocktails were in order and they were all superb. On a side note, As we passed their wine cellar/cooler I noticed, if one is so inclined you can order some pretty excellent wines Silver Oak Napa Valley, Veuve Clicquot, Opus One (I think), and a number of other awesome bottles that I can't seem to recall at the moment. Introductions/first courses rotate for the most part as well. We had the Luxe Eggs (also changes) which his basically a deviled egg. This one was mixed with hummus and it was pretty good, but I am biased, and I will eat my weight in deviled eggs if I am allowed. For dinner, I had Duck Ragu over Pappardelle, and my wife had the Beet Salad. I must say the Ragu was meaty, luscious, unctuous, and savory. The pasta was obviously fresh and cooked perfectly which doesn't happen often. I almost ordered a second so I could take it home with me it was that good. The beat salad...Well, it's a salad. It had beets. It was quite enjoyable, but at the end of the day, it was a salad. If I wanted a salad, I'd order it but there are so many better things to sink your teeth into here. I hope the fine people of the Stevens Point area know what a brilliant establishment they have in their community, and support this place so it doesn't close because it would be a shame if it did. The Chef obviously has a love and passion for food and knows his craft. Well done sir. The only dig I have here (and it is minor) is while our server was prompt, polite and affable they need to know their menus. Can't wait to come back next year. read more

One of the most beautiful upscale restaurants in the area, Muse has definitely impressed us both in ambiance and palette. It's a place that you can dress up or dress a little more casual and still feel comfortable. The flavor parings are unique and the chef is always happy to accommodates our dietary preferences. The lux eggs and salads are our favorites, and of course anything fried because the way it's fried is so crisp and airy. I recommend you never share the pot de creme dessert because you will want that deliciousness all to yourself. We love to see Stephanie and Coles smiling faces when we come. read more

I was in town for UWSP graduation. We reserved a table for 10 and ended up with a special room, which was great for celebrating the first grandchild's college graduation! We had privacy and it wasn't too loud so we could enjoy each other's company. Ellen was our top notch waitress. I had chicken sausage corzetti, Grandparents had baked spaghetti. There were two lamb orders and a couple of burgers. Everyone raved about the food except the Grandmom, who wasn't expecting the spaghetti and meatballs to be spicy. I ate some of it and thought it was phenomenal. The other two that got the spaghetti and meatballs were members of the clean plate club. She did enjoy the Muse salad, though. I had the Caesar salad to start and also liked it. I got the banana split dessert, and it was good, but the cake pieces were really dry, so I wouldn't get that again, I would try something else. read more

I was really excited to try a new spot in town, but this was a disappointment. We walked in and waited for a host so we walked in and asked the bartender for a table. We finally got seated and waited again for a waitress to take our order. The food was good but was dropped off without a word. No one checked to see how we were doing and again the check was dropped off without our waitress asking how our meal was. So it seems like no one has time to actually SERVE us while meanwhile the manager (I assume because he was the nicest dressed) was poking at his phone behind the bar. This is a hidden gem. Love the food and they have the best wine list. The manager is friendly, he always says hi and asks how we're doing. The chef does a great job, when we first started going we always would see him, unfortunately we haven't seen him the last few times. The pasta is the best in town, and a good price. This is our new favorite restaurant. I was in with my wife last night and we had great cocktails at the bar (they had a new list) then had great service from Taylor. The food was good as always. The general manager remembered us from our last visit and even remembered the wine we drank when we forgot... wow! I was disappointed an other table was greeted around us and brought their drinks before are server turned up. We ordered a glass of wine each and when are server returned he apologized for the wait. We ordered an appetizer, salad , and soup and they were all delivered at the same time. We ordered steaks and as the server was leaving I asked would you like to know how we want them prepared, he answered sure I was just leaving room on my ticket for that. I asked if he could bring something special as a surprise for my daughter's birthday and he said sure I will buy it. I was confused about that, but he said it again to my daughter, so no surprise! I sent my steak back for a bump up in temperature and when he brought it back asked me to cut it in the middle while he waited , very uncomfortable. With dinner we each ordered a different glass of wine and I asked if they had a Pinot noir from Oregon, he had to check. I guessed I expected more from the type of establishment.
