I went for lunch, and it was very good. They're open limited hours, for breakfast/lunch. We went about 12:30. I had the special, Avocado Toast, and it was really good but maybe a tad on the salty side. It had the smashed avocado with fresh salsa on top, then a sliced hard boiled egg on top of that. Very very good! Oh! And their side of thick-cut bacon is premium and delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive, and the dining area was comfortable and inviting. Had to wait :20 to be seated but it was a Saturday mid-morning so that's to be expected. Every seat including the counter was packed. Ordered the Ranchers. Chicken fried steak w/gravy, hash browns, 3 eggs and a biscuit. 3 eggs? Looked more like 5. Very nice portions and the fried steak and gravy were spot on. The tables were neatly covered with local business cards really showcasing their support of local business. The menu serves breakfast and lunch items and it seemed like everything on the menu was local and homemade. I ordered the skinny papas and there wasn't anything skinny about it! The portions were generous and the meal was very delicious. This place is so local down to the hot sauce and organic ketchup they bring to your table. Doug's is a good place to get breakfast. This cozy little hometown dinner serves up a man-sized portion that is a feast for your taste buds and also for the eyes. One particular things I liked was the thick and I mean THICK slice of bacon. My plate contained three huge, thick, long slices, two eggs and a heaping mound of hash browns, and if that wasnt enough it also came with two slices of sweet toast. (their version of french toast). All of this was around $9. so my meal was big on the plate and big on taste but not in price. When in the area and you are looking for a good hearty meal, I recommend Doug's! read more

This is primarily a breakfast place, and their menu is an eclectic mix of American and Mexican specialties with a lot of Doug's own twists. I like to sit at the counter and watch the cooks at work. My favorite breakfast dish is the very traditional Favorite Omelette (ham, bacon, and cheese), but their breakfast burritos are also very good. The griddled biscuit that comes as a side choice is especially yummy; it is a large house-made biscuit, sliced in half and buttered, and grilled on the buttered side. It seems to have a little sugar in it, which may give it some extra crunch. For lunch I like the Joe Burger, a delicious green chili cheeseburger. Service is usually good but sometimes erratic. Portions are typically very large. Avoid the iced tea, as it never tastes good. read more

Generous portion sizes allow us to split a meal and their well-planned kitchen operations means a short wait time from our order to receiving the food, which in turn means a relatively short wait time for a table when the place is packed. Our new place! We went to the egg and I for years and years, we knew all the waiters, then first watch came in and took over and destroyed our dreams. I've been searching for a great breakfast place ever since. We finally found it! This place is amazing. The menu has a good variety. They food is fresh and amazing. Homemade jelly, griddle biscuits, amazing hash browns, sausage and bacon. The green chili hits the mark too, which is very important. On top of all this amazing food is great service. You have this amazing little yellow bottle that said O" on it that's from local retail ( and now I feel stupid for not remembering the name ) also not that this is a big deal but I must recognize that when I came in today at 8:40am you had one lady working your kitchen, and MAN oh man did she cook up a plate for me.. for everyone! Everything was mouth watering good! I could see the crushed peppers in my patty, I could see my caramelized onions topped over my hash browns, and don't get me started on those medium well eggs.
