Nice atmosphere, early morning service was good, the food was mediocre at best. Come on guys, it's just not that hard to cook a decent omelette. Eggs were very over cooked, ingredients inside were cold and not incorporated into the eggs. Hash browns were under done, still raw. The wheat toast was OK. read more

I have eaten in Diners across Western North America from San Salvador, El Salvador and Cancun, Mexico to Whitehorse, Yukon and Tok, AK. Many have been good and some exceptional, others doing a yeoman's job of feeding and watering their respective communities, but none,...not one,...is better than this place in Superior, CO. Right size, easy access, clean and bright, friendly excellent service and outstanding food. If you're near, and you don't treat yourself by eating here, it'll be your loss. read more

The food was not that good. I was not impressed. I wanted to give it a try because of the great reviews but didn't meet the standard of getting 5 stars. The only reason to give 2 stars was the waiter service was great. read more

Really great diner. Good service and the chicken sandwich I had was a unique and pleasant taste. Would eat here again.

Great find! Doug's was recommended by the front desk staff at my hotel and did not disappoint, as should be apparent, as I'm back for breakfast second day in a row. Yesterday I had the "Hillbilly," 3 eggs your way with "browns" (shredded potatoes) choice of meat, and a "griddle biscuit" - they put the biscuit on top of the browns and cover the pile with country gravy. Yum. Couldn't quite finish. Today it's the Basic. 2 eggs, browns, choice of meat & toast or biscuit. No gravy this time, so I realized they call them griddle biscuits because they halve them and grill them. Of note: The house made sausage is so good that I wasn't willing to try the other options. Is it the best breakfast in Broomfield? I'll never know, because if I'm close enough to Doug's I won't be trying any others, thank you very much! read more

Great food. Was not expecting how good the hash-browns are. Also the oatmeal was excellent and the English muffin were probably some of the best, or so my wife tells me. Service was super friendly. Glad we found it. read more

Visited twice when in town in early February. Family loved the food. Fresh squeezed juice and homemade jams.

Amazing food family owned by locals! The items are cheap yet huge proportion wise. Love it!

This place gets four stars but three for service, so I rounded up since I can't give a three and a half. Service was disorganized and nobody seemed to have a defined role, except for the silverware rolling hostess. She was very focused and our silverware was rolled nicely. We watched our food sit on the pick- up shelf, which makes me nuts and just want to grab it myself. Inattentive and aloof waitress. On to the food: it was delicious! My date had the hillbilly with homemade green Chile turkey sausage. He ate every bite and said it was awesome! I ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon and guacamole and a side salad. The bread was the best part! So good! I'd eat here again. read more

Amazing food! Nice decore. Vegitarian friendly. Nice portions. Imagative and creative recipes. Home fries are to die for.

We have visited many times before Covid and have always appreciated their tasty breakfast! They always offer awesome smothered burritos. It's a little small and when we went prior to Covid it was very busy so we have not been back out of safety precautions but have always enjoyed PJs. read more

What an amazing breakfast! I'm always looking to support local mom and pop restaurants, and what a gem this place is... The food was great, fresh and homemade! The staff was so friendly, with just the right amount of "checking in". Definitely coming back the next time I am on this side of town. Homemade biscuits, green chili sausage are delish, and the hash browns were just the right amount of crispy! read more

9 out of 10 times the food is amazing, that other 1 time it is trivial things that don't make it as good as usual. Maybe it's to much pepper in the gravy that day or the kitchen messing up a small detail, asking for a bacon burrito and getting ham in it too, but nothing that is a deal breaker. Cowboy papas all day long when I am super hungry and a roader if just normal hungry. read more

My childhood parents best friend took me here when I first moved to this area. She raved about it. Sure enough, I saw a lot of my community faces. It is definitly your small town diner and you have to know where to find it. Good thing its that way, because the line was still long Yet we got in pretty quickly I had a 9 month old baby and our waitress was super understaning, patient, friendly and kind. Its now where I look forward to taking my guests and visitors every time. once you're in the know, this is the place that everyone goes! read more

Best bacon around and the service here has always been A++. Service is always excellent -- you can tell they actually care about their customers and the food they serve. We usually get breakfast here (everything is great -- there has never been anything we didn't like). The portions are huge and food is always super fresh. I decided last time we were here to try a burger since we normally get breakfast. Again, did not disappoint. I ordered the Frontier burger medium rare and it was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. I look forward to trying the rest of their menu! read more

Delicious, big breakfast with quick service and sweet staff. What more could you want? The thick bacon was killer and the hash browns had the perfect mix of soft and crispy bits. read more

Come hungry because every meal is huge. Fresh, locally sourced food, means deliciousness. The bacon strips are twice as thick as what I'm used to. Really friendly staff especially since they are open so early (6:00 AM). I highly recommend the burrito and coffee to go for $5, it can't be beat. read more

PJs Diner - Burger and messy fries - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Superior, Colorado

Been coming here for a couple months now, mix of breakfast and lunch... sometimes both in a day... it's that good. In my opinion it is simply the best food in the area. Breakfast is amazing - the English muffins, home made jams and thick cut bacon are amazing. For lunch the salads are really well put together with a refreshing ratio of actual "good stuff" to lettuce vs the standard pile of lettuce with a single cherry tomato buried in it somewhere... these salads are hardy, you won't be dissapointed. The sandwiches are big and taste like you'd hope they would - everything fresh and full of flavor. The burgers are huge... awesome selection of unique combinations that are as impressive visually as they are to the taste buds... Best of all is the service. The ladies working here are authentic, friendly and take great care of you. Highly reccomend a visit! read more

Had a to-go order that was placed as a group order for my work. Trying to stay keto and thinking I'd try to keep it cheap I ordered 4 eggs scrambled with cheese on top and a side order of bacon. Food was good but as I asked my buddy how much I owed we looked the receipt and saw a charge of $4 for cheese. It was very little cheese on the eggs and would have never done it if I had known it was $4. The total for my order ended up being $14 ($6 eggs, $4 bacon, and $4 cheese). $4 for what appeared to be sprinkled light cheese is ridiculous. Feels bad. Not the satisfaction you want from a diner. read more

Two strikes and they are out. Ate they a few years ago when they were still called Doug's and had a terrible meal. Happened to be in that strip mall so thought I would give them one more try. Couldn't even do a decent burger and fries. Won't go back. read more

What an awesome diner! Great menu with fresh, quality ingredients. Friendly staff & service. My wife & I split the humongous breakfast burrito with carnè asadà & we were STUFFED afterwards. Add on the guac & veggies on the side, adds a splash of freshness to every bite. We had ours with the gravy & man it was good. This will definitely be one of our usual spots when we move to town next month. read more

Found this place last minute. Best brunch I've had in a while. I got the ranchers. The country fried steak was cooked to perfection. Hash browns had the perfect crisp to them. Our server Kyle was awesome! Very helpful with menu options, and made sure my coffee was always topped off. 10/10 experience. read more

This is a great breakfast spot. The food was excellent. Both my son and I ordered bacon cooked different ways, and it all came out perfect. The staff was super friendly. This place is a must. Love love love. read more

I was disappointed to realize this is basically still the same Doug's diner it used to be , just has a different name. It's packed so some of their food must be good. Definitely skip the hamburger. If you didn't love Doug's, don't bother coming here. read more

I think Monday and Tuesday may be the worst days to not be open :) every Monday I long for a roadside burrito

We stopped in with a party of 11 on a Saturday morning and they were able to make accommodations for us with minimal wait. Our waiter, Kyle, was fantastic and the food was delicious. read more

I always order carry out from here because it's usually Sunday morning and I enjoy a good Saturday night. You get it. Anyway, this place is phenomenal. I usually go with the Hillbilly. It hits the spot. But show up hungry. The portions are, well, unusual. read more

My last 2 visits were less than satisfactory. time before last the waitress only refilled my glass after I called her over and asked to refill it, it had been sitting empty for a while. When I paid with cash I was not offered any change. My waitress, Cheyenne, assumed the change was her tip which was over 20%. She was definitely not very friendly on this visit and did not earn a 20% tip. The last time I was there service was better than the time before but was not as good as my previous visits. And the hash browns were undercooked, crunchy and raw. I felt very unwelcome. I will not be back. read more

Excellent service and breakfast today at Doug's Day Diner. I had read about Doug's several months ago and filed it away as a possibility for breakfast or lunch. Today I popped in for breakfast. The menu was pretty large and varied- I decided upon the breakfast burrito, with turkey green chili sausage. First of all, it was HUGE- I could only eat about half of it. Secondly, both the red and the green chili sauces were yummy (I had ordered Christmas - half and half.) Third, I usually am not a fan of potatoes in my breakfast burritos because they usually overpower everything else. However, at Doug's they are sliced about the size of linguine noodles and fried up so some of them are crispy -- I must say, it was a tasty addition to the dish. Coffee was tasty, service was fast (weekday morning about 7:45am) and friendly. I'll be back for another Breakfast soon! read more

Little hole in the wall place with DELICIOUS food and super friendly service. I'm so glad to have found this gem :)

This place is such a great hole in the wall! The biscuit is to die for! Homemade apple butter!!!

Great service and portions are very large. The Papas was very good. Especially with gravy on top. Hash browns were cooked to the point of being crispy on the ends but not over done. Housemade sausage was really great as well. read more

Hands down best breakfast in the Denver area! The staff is great. Try the homemade jam!

This place is definitely a hidden gem in the Flatiron crossings area. Decided to come on in and try it out. They have amazing options for breakfast and lunch. We went with the green chili burger and oh my! Fresh ingredients and homemade everything wins my heart and stomach. The biscuits were a perfect combo of soft and crisp outer crust. Next the side salad filled with peppers, cucumbers and various seeds. The ranch! It was all amazing and a sweet staff to top it off. Will be back soon! read more

+ Huge portions of very tasty food. We will be spitting a plate next time. Your cardiologist loves these plates. + My reuben (with only in Colorado chiles) was perfectly cooked. The meat was non-fatty and tender. The fries were excellent. Stayed crispy for a very long time. + Attentive, friendly service. I wanted a sandwich and our waitress said: "lunch starts at 1100, sorry". But, then she checked with the cooks and they said: "we can do it". Yea! + Wi-Fi 0 Average ambiance. A bit stark, but there are many happy patrons creating a good buzz. - Daily Chef flatware. Absolute bottom of the barrel in terms of quality. With food this good, they should spend more than 34¢ for a fork. - Napkins. Thin paper. You need multiple for these breakfasts. - No booze. A Bloody Mary would have been welcome. - The corned beef in my reuben was sliced a tad too thick. It means that sometimes you pull it out of the sandwich instead of biting through it. - CFL light bulbs. Really? LEDs use less electricity and come in warm 2700 °K color versus the cold 4000 °K CFLs. read more
