Maybe next time I'll go inside

PJ's saved me! I was hangry and in desperate need for coffee and when I saw the sign for PJ's I took the exit! And they had a drive thru, so it didn't take time off my trip! I ordered my latte and saw they had breakfast sandwiches- one bacon, egg and cheese biscuit! Fuel for my drive home and delicious. Thank you for the fast, friendly service, delicious coffee and scrumptious biscuit! I'll bookmark this stop for future trips!

Cafe bar

What a cool spot in Ridgeland! The cafe was clean, well-lit, and welcoming. I had a "VooDoo" energy drink instead of a coffee, which was a good switch up for my afternoon. Ham croissant was fine, but I'll likely skip it next time. Service was quick! I'll be back.

PJ's is not only my hometown coffee shop but it's my favorite from coast to coast. I was so surprised driving I 95 south when I noticed a sign for a PJ's in the low country. I parked my truck and had an enjoyable walk to a beautiful PJs. The folks working the counter were as friendly as ever and I had the king cake latte along with a breakfast sandwich. It was perfect. Thanks PJ!

I found my "second coffee" and stayed here for a bit as it was also my office for the morning. My large drip coffee was delicious and hot. Great friendly service in a comfortable shop that had plenty of seating. A good crew of regulars coming and going. Wifi worked well. Power outlets were near tables. And the seating was cozy. Very nice little coffee shop. We were on a trip home from a wedding weekend and needed a little rest stop and pick me up! We ordered coffee, a cappuccino, the spinach turnover and egg bites. The service was great, with two very friendly baristas working. The restrooms were very clean as was the entire coffee shop. I would definitely stop at a PJ's again in the future.

Found PJ's driving home from Florida. Super cute coffee shop. Employees are real nice and about their business. Both drinks were yummy. Wish they did a gallon of that Peach Palmer. I could drink that all day. Can't wait to try my K-cups with winter coming it will be a nice treat. Keep up the great work. We will be stopping again when we head south in December.

Driving from Florida to North Carolina and stopped at this coffee shop. What a great choice! Extremely clean, very friendly and yummy food options. We got two sandwiches: the club sandwich and the Cuban sandwich. Both we served toasted, a nice hot meal during the road trip. The kids picked out the yogurt parfaits. We also got a blended iced coffee to enjoy. I appreciate the clean bathrooms with a diaper changing table. Pro tip - if you have kids - there is a fun playground 0.3 miles away (HAROLD TURPIN PARK). A great place to shake sillies out during our road-trip.

Finally got a chance to retry Pjs coffee and I can say that the experience was wonderful. I walked in this time because I remembered looking thru the drive thru window last time thinking the inside was so pretty which it was, I walked around before I ordered the girl at the register told me there specials but then remembered that they were all sold out which we both laughed because it was so early in the morning that our brains weren't ready yet lol. I got a maple latte and a maple sausage biscuit my husband ordered the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and my son got a chocolate chip cookie that they warmed up for him. The sandwich were good the bacon on my husbands though was not very rubbery not crispy at all, but mine was good. The coffee tasted delicious definitely a good brew to start the day and the cookies was delicious I could tell because it was gone pretty quickly Also we bought a chapstick for $2 which was super cute the only flaw is the top doesn't stay on

Cranberry orange muffin, praline latte and the honey oat latte

Hi Everyone, We hope…read moreyou and your Family are all feeling fantastic, and you are all enjoying your lives together! Family is the theme here because Eats & Sweets was a Family friendly restaurant. First because of their decorations at Halloween which I have reviewed in the past, but were not up yet? To be fair on October 10th, they still maybe coming, as we are unsure. We were greeted with an Italian Specials menu outside on their sidewalk black board which in reference to the Italian fare, is new. So kudos to Eats and Sweets for offering more variety of entrees to your patrons. However, it is a fact that their Family friendly priced menu is not as we have found it, in the past. We found that with a Flounder and Shrimp platter, a Flounder platter only, and a Cheese Steak, all with one side each, and then including a coke and unsweetened tea for lunch was $103.00 with tax, tip, out the door. While I feel our restaurant Owners pain as they can really can do nothing to stop the price explosion for food in the US economy which we all facing everywhere, our price, got my attention for lunch. Our service à la Miss DeAnn was terrific as she was friendly, personable, very patient, and fast after we ordered which we have always found here at Eats and Sweets because their food is served very friendly and hot, which we appreciate very much. But I would highly recommend that their chefs reduce their use of sodium. Why? Because as I looked around their restaurant, I did see a good demographic age mix but the Baby Boomers were in the majority. Salt kills us all faster at any age, and for Eats and Sweets own economic survival, and longevity, I would recommend, in my opinion, they reduce their high sodium content on all of their food. Frankly, the salt content over rode all other tastes, my buds were able to discern in both my entree, and roasted vegetables. I mean there are salt shakers on the table, right? I asked for a broiled piece of Flounder and is was perfectly cooked, thank you. In all fairness, I did NOT say "no salt" on any of my food, which I almost always remember to do when ordering my meals, so I am at fault. My infectiously joyous and show stopping beautiful dining companion's fried flounder, shrimp with onion rings was delicious and she recommends it highly! Our third party at home, felt their cheese steak, which was carry out, lacked balance, as they felt all they could taste, were green peppers. Their deserts as always, are to die for! So, your sweet tooth will feel like it died, and went to heaven, because they are always, that awesome, hence, their name. Is Eats and Sweets worth a visit? Yes, but we highly recommend you are, on your game, when ordering, so you can ensure their chefs are aware of your taste preferences. Again, I forgot to say, no salt, on all my food, and our first ever ordered Cheese Steak, we are writing off, to a learning experience. So with our menu caveats above, their price now, is about average, after our COVID economy, rolled right into our two more years of significantly reduced inflation economy, for a total of six years in a row. And yes, while inflation has been cut by 55 to 60% in the last two years, all of our prices do not come down to what they were before our 9% inflation has occurred. Which to most who understand, owning a business economics, is in line with what most of us are finding in almost every restaurant we patron now. However, with all of this due consideration, taken into account, we still recommend you take your wide ride for a fast glide in to Eats and Sweets as the food is good, the Service is excellent, their deserts are "to die for", and because you will be satisfied you did as you wipe that Black Forrest with its cherry filled layers and white icing from your face, as you respond to your companion's "You missed a spot Honey", as you get up to leave. S...o..., Enjoy!

But we did not let that deter us and we went in and used the electronic device to get us on a waiting list. We were told 15 minutes, but we waited no more than 10. I am going to take into consideration the massive crowd, and say that our food and drink came in very reasonable time considering. We were not in a hurry, and kind of enjoy the bustle and the people. Our waitress was exceedingly friendly, very helpful and very accommodating. My friend and I each got a fancy Sunday brunch cocktail. Mine was strawberry, and it was delicious. She loved hers as well, she got the grapefruit one. They were lovely to look at and delicious and refreshing. A very fun way to start our Sunday morning. We both ordered the California club sandwich and I asked for gluten-free bread. The sandwich was delicious and the gluten-free bread was good. If you know about gluten-free bread and the heartache of searching for a decent slice, then you'll appreciate this bread on your sandwich. I got french fries which seems I have to order every single time even as I contemplate the healthier side choices. They were great, hot, fresh, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My friend got a side salad which she was happy with, obviously far more willpower than I have. She was not happy with the dressing she had chosen and the waitress happily brought her a different one. While we were there, I noticed everybody was working so hard and the customers all around us seem to be very much enjoying themselves. I don't know if this should really be relevant in my review but there was a group of four people who were sat down in a table nearby who upon being seated asked the waitress immediately if they could get their food quickly and she told them that it probably would not be as fast as they would like it. At which point they got up and left. The waitress seemed to feel bad about that, but when the manager came over to investigate, he simply took it in stride and then started to clean the table off for the next group. My friend and I had to wonder who would come into such a bustling and packed restaurant and think that they were going to get served especially fast. Another thing about we noticed about the manager is that he seemed very much hands-on and all over the place in the restaurant. He was very friendly when we looked at the check-in device and wondered what we were doing ~ he made jokes that made us feel less Luddite like. He bussed tables and sat people, and checked on things, and generally looked like the kind of manager of that Gordon Ramsay would appreciate. The menu has something for everybody! And some very exciting options that we have to go back and experience. Lots of add-ons for everything, a huge variety of choices. My sister-in-law had recommended the avocado toast, and I was tempted. I was also tempted by the biscuit and gravy and the eggs Benedict, which are hard for me to resist at brunch. but I reasonably only ordered one meal for me. It's been a long review, but I have to say the meal really was that good and the whole experience was very enjoyable. Not only will I be going back but, I will be recommending it, wholeheartedly, to everybody. Thanks for a great meal!

A guy, his son, and what appeared to be his father walked in and walked right over to a table and tried to sit down. The server cleared the table and the elderly lady walked over and started to sit down. The guy, who was in his phone, looked up and said ma'am we were waiting for that table. She explained she had been waiting by the door. The server came over and said this table is for more than one person and basically told her she could not sit there. The lady said she had been waiting and should be able to sit at the table. The server said it is no big deal and I was so proud of this elderly lady who said back to her, you clearly think it is a big deal because you brought it up. The server then proceeded to tell her to have a "Blessed Day" which in the south means F off. The men waiting for the table did not care and just sat down. We had already been served or I would have just left. If that had happened to that server she would have made sure the whole restaurant knew she was being discriminated against, heck she made sure everyone heard her tell this elderly lady who did nothing wrong "Have a blessed day". Leah, our server, was great!
