Waffle fries

This is one of those places that has only a few things on the menu, but they do those things SO well. Their niche is smash burgers and waffle fries, and they did not disappoint. Starting with the burger, I like when a smash burger is ACTUALLY a smash burger. They include cheese and pickles on it and it was just the perfect burger. I think it's pretty high on my burger rankings. Might even beat Heavy's! I feel like it's rare to get waffle fries unless you're going to Chick Fil A, so it was nice to have them with our burger. We got a bag to share and there was plenty. They were salted and seasoned to perfection and perfectly crispy. We sat outside where they have a full bar, a TV for sports, and they had live music.

Beautiful day to sit and enjoy smoke/vape free outdoor space. Smash burger was excellent, and yes, they have gluten free buns. Fries also very good - not over salted!

I've been visiting Hilton Head Island every year for the past 10 years, and I don't remember seeing this place before--so I'm guessing it's a newer spot (but I could be wrong). Either way, I'm glad we found it! We came with another couple to grab a quick bite, and wow--I was impressed. I ordered "The Burger" double with onions and sauce on the side, plus a half order of waffle fries (perfect for sharing with one or two people). These are smashed burgers, and they do them right! The burger and fries were both packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned--which is rare for me to say, because I usually don't even care for burgers from restaurants. But this one? Totally different story. You can tell they put care into what they're serving. Food comes in a to-go bag, but there's plenty of seating inside and out if you want to chill and eat there. I'll definitely be back next time I'm on the island. If you're in Hilton Head and love a good burger, don't skip this place. You'll be glad you tried it!

Sometimes, a burger isn't just food -- it's an experience. The fig goat cheese smash burger is exactly that: an unexpected marriage of sweet, savory, and indulgent brilliance. The moment you take a bite, you're hit with the crisp, buttery edge of the smashed patty, balanced by the creamy tang of goat cheese that melts like velvet across your tongue. Then comes the star of the show -- the maple fig -- sweet, earthy, and elegantly layered, tying everything together in a flavor symphony that could convert even the most traditional burger purist. The bun holds it all beautifully, slightly toasted and soft enough to soak up every hint of flavor. Best smash on the island .

Smash burger, Wednesday beef tallow fried wings, fries

This place is absolutely fantastic. We are visiting from Arizona for my bday and I am always searching for restaurants that lean seed oil free, so the tallow was a huge win for me. This was one, if not the best smash burger I've had... the fries were amazing and the wings were phenomenal. The house-made sauces were delicious and the service from the women at the front was awesome. My fav food of the trip!

Double bacon burger

Life altering burger, cannot recommend this place enough. Friendly staff and quick service.

Amazing! Outdoor seating, great music, easy seating. We frequent Hilton had a lot, and this will be a common place that we eat every time.

We didn't get to eat a lot because we were thanking everyone and had to stay on our agenda but Mikey offered to make us plates so we could eat and all of our guests said the food was fantastic. Some guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Tyler was also super attentive and was able to help us with whatever we needed. He helped control the AV and music and helped us stick with our schedule. We didn't get to talk to her a lot but everyone loved talking to the bartender Erin. She was super friendly and generous to us when we asked for drinks. The staff held our cakes and decor for us the day before and set everything up. We didn't have to do a thing. They also cleaned everything up and had our cakes ready for us the next day to pick up. they also got a wedding gift which we didn't not expect. They were reasonable priced for a Hilton Head reception. I am very very pleased and thankful we had our reception at Skull Creek Dockside.

I missed out on $11 sushi because I didn't read the fine print of sitting at the bar! So don't do what I did!! Their fish and chips are amazing as well! For dessert, we had the chocolate peanut butter pie and I was in heaven! I need more of that pie in my life! The second time my husband got the key lime pie and it was really good and refreshing! They have so many options everyone can find something, the service is friendly and they even took something back because the sauce had spilled a bit and had touched food it wasn't supposed to! The ambiance is really nice, it's not too noisy but outside they did have a person singing and playing the guitar! The views are amazing and you get to see the dock and when you're waiting you can walk down to the dock and look at the wildlife! We saw sting rays, fish, and a huge alligator swimming around!! So cool! We 100k times recommend this place!! The first time we went we went at about 6, and it took about an hour to get a seat. The second time we went at 4 and it was super fast going in and getting our food! For parking, it can be a bit crazy we luckily got front row parking both times. Since it's sooo close to the other seaside restaurant they share parking. A lot of people saw the parking lot packed and settled for the back, go all the way down and that's where we found multiple parking spots!!

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

Except for the fried green tomatoes- those were very good, dipped in blue cheese dressing (ranch was bad, tasted like plain mayonnaise with a parsley sprinkle) The pimento cheese appetizer was so disappointing! Tasted like cream cheese mixed with packaged shredded cheddar and 3 small pieces of raw red pepper; served with stale corn chips and uninspired pita. Was so looking forward to good homemade pimento cheese in the south! The grouper sandwich was sad, my friend only ate the fish and left the bun and tomatoes on the plate. The mac and cheese was even sadder, described as baked mac and cheese it was more like old leftovers, cold, separated noodles that were really dry. The shrimp blt salad- the aforementioned fried green tomatoes were the best part. The bacon was cold and floppy and kind of unchewable. It was served on wilted arugula. I'm so confused by all the rave reviews! Maybe this was a one off.
