Benny's Coastal Kitchen rooftop bar is just absolutely amazing!!! Wow! It's such a fun time and the views are so beautiful. The food was great, drinks delicious and refreshing, but it was just a fun time and I highly recommend it to everyone!

The food here was actually some of the best I've had on the island. We typically go to some of the more common faves... Hudson's, Skullcreek, etc, but when I tell you how refreshing it is to have a new spot with great local fare & flavor, sign me up! The Brazilian influences are very prevalent here and I'm loving it. I've heard great things about the fish stew, but I just couldn't do it sitting outside. Props to another restaurant that prioritizes fun for the kiddos...bc there's nothing apparent once more on vacation than a moment of silence... and the occasional chance to whoop some little kid butt at a game before dinner. Order 2 baskets of hush puppies with your apps and two more at the end of your course. The combo of those pups & butter is nothing short of legendary... what a combo! Apps: fried green tomatoes were perfectly seasoned and prepped 5/5 Scallops served with Hoppin John we're classic and flawless 5/5 The grilled salmon was seasoned and cooked to perfection 5/5 The grouper was perfectly cooked, I just would've preferred a different sauce and a more accurate cooking time on the potatoes 4/5 The fried seafood platter was perfect, although the oysters we're trying to oblivion 4/5 The sage martini was perfect, the flourless chocolate tart was a little rich for my taste (and I actually love chocolate) and the peach cobbler was more of q peach upside down cake - good flavor balance, but I prefer cobbler to cake. Our service was great, the ambience is great, the space is always jumpin', and the patio just might be my favorite on the island.

Beautiful restaurant on the water with delicious food and friendly staff! I came here on a weekday for lunch and was sat immediately. Their lunch menu was really impressive and I was blown away by how beautiful the space is. I decided on the hushpuppies to start, which came with Turkish chili honey butter. They were incredible! So tasty and the butter was delicious. For my entree, I ordered the Brazilian Fish Stew, which was made with coconut milk and had shrimp, clams, fish, scallops, peppers, onions, and a scoop of Carolina Gold rice. It was absolutely incredible! Such great flavors. I can't recommend Benny's Coastal Kitchen enough! They also have a rooftop bar so I'll definitely be returning to check that out next time I'm in town!

A beautiful restaurant located on the water. A lot of gorgeous outside seating as well as rooftop seating. We had a large party and made a late reservation so we were seated inside which was nice but not as lovely as one of the outdoor tables with the incredible views. I loved the look and feel of the restaurant - very sleek and modern but still has a warm vibe. Our server was good, helpful and attentive. I had the short rib gnocchi which was delicious. Others had the crab cakes, swordfish and chicken. Every dish was tasty and well prepared. A great meal was had by all!

This is a beautiful fairly new dining establishment on Skull Creek on Hilton Head Island. So much to do and see here with patio seating, lawn seating, indoor seating all on the first floor. The upstairs (which we did not go to) has indoor and outdoor seating with tapas and a full bar. We opted for patio seating and were warmly greeted by a Negril, Jamaican native (Negril is where we went for our honeymoon 40 yrs ago) named Buddington. Hubby ordered picatta swordfish and it was lemony and tender which he loved just needed more capers. I ordered the seafood cannelloni and it was packed full of delicious crab and shrimp. We also had the hush puppies with chili butter which was way more than we two could eat all of, so we took most home. Service was excellent and friendly. Lot to do while waiting like corn hole, a swing, jenga, connect 4 and ping pong. Once we finished we took our wine and sat in the comfortable outdoor loveseat to enjoy the sunset. Something to note, you could just come and get a drink and sit waterside and enjoy the view. Highly recommend going here if you ever get a chance.

Great ambiance, loud music but great for a vibe, hush puppies and chicken were our favorite. I got the scallops and they were great flavor, but liked the chicken more!

My first time at BCK! The interior is lovely and overlooks the shrimp docks. Today was a rainy day, so no one was taking advantage of the outdoor patio area. I bet this place is hopping during the high season! Definitely make reservations. Maria was our server and she was delightful. Service pace was a little slow (kitchen too) but there were only three servers on and the dining room was filling up close to 1 pm. Our drink and appetizer orders were taken quickly. A booth of 5 women were seated next to us, and they must have known the manager, since he visited them and delivered bread service. Were werenever offered it. (A little bread service discrimination?). I'll know to ask next time. ;) Loved the flavor profile of the latkes, but we all agreed they needed some crunch--maybe panko crumb coating? The remoulade was delish! Upon my sister's suggestion, we had the Brazilian fish stew, which was amazing. Thank you for removing the shrimp tails! (#iykyk). My BIL enjoyed his crab cake Napoleon. We all shared the key lime cheesecake, which is to die for. I will spend my spare time at trying to replicate it at home! I'll be back to try a few more things on the menu. *Note: the menu is funky and many dishes are shrimp-forward. There were no seafood classics (fish & chips or broiled haddock dinners), so if you're not adventurous with spice or different flavors you may like Hudson's better.

Walked in with my son for dinner about 40 min before close on a Tuesday evening. The ton was set as we walked to the host stand and three younger adults said welcome! We asked for a table for two and the all three just looked at each other, grinned and looked around, it was strange to say the least but after that everything was awesome. The wait staff worked as a team and always checked in, made suggestions while chatting us up about what's popular. We got the shrimp skillet, soooooo good, FYI it's a small portion. We both got the Brazilian seafood stew and that was AMAZING. The restaurant is BIG and open, high ceilings and great outdoor space. Nice spot and we will be back again next year.

Fra diavolo with no spice, unreal!

Went here for an early dinner with whole family, great place, very open and nice inside, can eat outside too, and there lounge seats and games outside as well. Food is spectacular, was pleasantly surprised, the family sized appetizer with all the seafood was very fresh, and enough for everyone to share. I ordered the fra Diavolo dish with no spice (I love spice but knew my wife would want some and she hates spice, so they made it with no black or red pepper). Let me tell you, one of the best dishes I've had in a long time! And the bread they give you in the dish, you can it or dip it, oh wow amazing! Eveyone at the table raved about their food. Only thing is that if your kids are looking for burgers, no burgers. We swapped them for chicken fingers and fries but just a heads up to the parents. They even have a salmon dish on the kids menu. Service was great but expoect them to take their time cooking your meal, which is good. Come here for a long relaxing dinner. Overall great place!

Stellar view of the water and sunset. Staff were professional and gave great food recommendations. The service was great. The food was so good. I had the Brazilian Seafood Stew, and it was the perfect combination of sweet and umami. I tasted the grouper and it too was delicious with a great texture. This is a must visit in the ar

Went there for a late light lunch. We had beautiful weather so we sat outside. What a great setting. The cocktails were spot on. For lunch I had the Brazilian Stew. A definite one for repeat. So so delicious. Hubby had the crab cakes and fried green tomato. Also good. Lots of crab in the crab cake. We ended with the key lime cheesecake. Omg. So good. We will always come back here for our visits to HHI.

The service was fantastic, and the food was top notch. We wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we ordered several appetizers: shrimp cocktail, grilled oysters, coconut shrimp, and fried green tomatoes. My husband, who isn't a big seafood fan, also ordered the chicken Parmesan with pasta but he ended up trying some of the shrimp and even commented on how fresh and flavorful it was. The bartender really went above and beyond, encouraging us to try the hush puppies (seriously addictive) and the boiled shrimp, which were incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

We ordered grouper, flounder, fish and chips, peel n eat shrimp, calamari and pickles, and snow crab - all were enjoyed. My only problem with this place was that they offer the option to select specific seating when making a reservation and in our case did not follow through. Please do not offer this specific option if you are not willing to honor these reservations. We had wanted to sit up by the bar, music and cornhole area at a high top (per my reservation). As the hostess was leading us to our table I noticed we were heading to a low table at the complete opposite side of the bar, so I stopped her and informed her of our reservation request. I figured she may not have known. Seconds later a lady was in our face telling us in a rushed, rather aggressive manner that the table we were being seated at was the best they could do. No high tops were available. So no hello, may I help you from her. No, hello I am so sorry that we cannot honor your reservation. No empathy or professionalism whatsoever. I was not happy. Good communication is key to allow understanding. My problem wasn't so much the table, but with how the supervisor/manager spoke to us. To make things worse, once seated I went to the restroom and on my way back there was a high top for 6 (my reservation number) cleaned and ready to go. So there was a table available. First time at Fishcamp. Disappointing experience - at first. The waitress was so kind though she made up for a rough start.
