Tried it out because it is super close to my neighborhood and I was not disappointed! The service was very nice and it's a pretty good place to go to when studying. It's not super loud which is nice! They have about 5 tables and couches for people to sit. I got the bacon, cheese, and egg biscuit and it was a bit dry and over cooked but still pretty good! I personally just really like the interior as I'm always looking for cute places to study . In terms of drinks I got an iced tea with no sweetener but they have so many interesting drinks that I need to try next!

Now let's talk about breakfast: Weekday around lunch. About 1/4 of seats taken. As best I could tell, 2 or 3 servers. Coffee, OJ and soda brought promptly after ordering. FYI - drinks reasonably priced. I opted for Spinach & Swiss omelette, hash browns well done and biscuit. He opted for Meatlover's omelette, hash browns and toast. 25 minutes later breakfast was served. Husband's order was fine: tasty omelette, and the toast was well buttered. Mine? The Swiss was sticking out of the omelette and it was a slice not melted. The cheese inside the omelette was melted, and overall it had good flavor. The hash browns had good flavor, but they were not well done. The biscuit was not buttered - there was butter on the table - and it was nice and dense to support slathering it in jelly. The waitress checked on us a couple of times. I made no comment whether it was good or bad, because I was going to eat it anyway. As a general rule I don't send things back, and in this instance given the time it took to get it, I was starved and certainly wasn't sending it back. Leftovers box and checkout was super quick. This experience: 2 stars; averaging to 4 stars for restaurant overall. Will continue to use for pastries, but won't be back for another sit down experience.

The first drink I tried was excellent--a pumpkin spice latte with coconut or oat milk, I don't remember. The spices were on point and it was nice and frothy and perfectly sweet. It was also decaf and didn't even taste like it. The second drink I got, just last week, was a decaf pistachio and it was honestly horrendous. Worst cafe coffee I've bought in many a moon--and it was over 7 dollars for a small! It was burnt... noticeably so. Maybe no one buys enough decaf to warrant a fresh pot more than once a day, but please, for the love of God, don't serve it if the carbon has reached these levels. I couldn't even drink it. I took two sips and chucked it. Hopefully they'll eventually convince me, because it's such a cute spot and so close to home, but as of now I'm still luke warm about it.

We loved everything. On an unfortunately negative note, the barista got very annoyed with me when I asked to have our coffee poured into mugs. The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
