We kept it honest, cheese and the North End (sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, ham). The cheese pizza is a good baseline test, and it delivers. The sauce is a straightforward red, lightly seasoned, not trying to steal the spotlight. The cheese is smooth, creamy, and melts evenly across the pie. The North End is the better order. The meats bring the seasoning and depth that round out the bite. The sausage and meatballs stand out and carry the flavor, giving the slice a more complete profile. The crust has solid structure with a nice chew. If I'm being critical, it could use a touch more salt, but that's a refinement note, not a flaw. I've had a lot of pizza in a lot of places, this isn't a "drop everything and go" destination. But that's not the lane Pizzeria 260 is in. I've been meaning to write a review about this place for a while. I don't order lunch at work that often, but when I do ... I always enjoy getting Pizzeria 260. I can't comment on the ambiance because I've only ordered delivery, but some of my co-workers mentioned that it was a quaint, family-run place with great service, which I can definitely appreciate. Regarding the food, I always get the same thing. The BLT sandwich. They're bacon is sooooo good, and they put a good amount of it on there. Definitely not stingy like some places, where the BLT is more like ... just a "LT". My co-workers always love their food, and I have one co-worker that always orders the same thing too ... the Caesar salad with bacon and chicken. He says it's "mind blowing", and I definitely believe him. I highly recommend this place. Not only does the food taste amazing, it's also always a good sized portion, especially for the price. I've been living off some pretty mediocre Caesar wraps lately, and this one was miles better than what I've had before. Ordered from here while in Boston and staying in a hotel in the Seaport district. We had been out all day in the heat and wanted a late, quick, delivery style dinner that we might be able to stretch into having leftovers for the next day. We found this spot on GrubHub and Slice and it got great reviews (the other classics we saved like Regina didn't deliver) so we decided to order. We just ordered one classic formaggio pie and a slice of carrot cake (seems odd for a pizza order but it's our favorite cake and we couldn't NOT try it). Delivery was super quick and exactly on time via the Slice app predictions. The guy couldn't come up to our room to deliver and I'm not sure whose rule that was or if it was COVID-related or permanent but no matter - we met him in the lobby and he seemed like a nice guy. It was difficult not to eat the whole pizza in one night - so delicious! It was a perfect combination of that greasy slice you want for comfort food and also that crispy, charred crust, wood-fired artisanal style. It even reheated nicely the next next in the hotel room microwave. I was pleasantly surprised by the carrot cake as well! It was very moist and had a perfect amount of cream cheese frosting. I have placed extremely large orders here as well as small ones, and have never anything wrong or bad. I have had everything on the menu- salads, Subs, pizza, pasta, fries, burgers and it is all exceptional! I ordered 10 Italian subs last weekend as I was hosting a party and they sliced them up and put on a platter for me! Hands down the best pizza and take out place in southie. The menu is fairly simple, including salad, paninis, calzones, grinders, and pasta. The pizza is thin crust, almost New York style, and not too greasy. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean, with beautiful exposed brick walls, but the interior design does not seem to extend beyond the point of the establishment: to be a pizza joint. I think that the real question will be whether this place will withstand the test of time, and maintain a clean fresh quality, or will it fade into the sea of grease joints like Broadways Best around South Boston? There is a tremendous opportunity here to offer a borderline artisanal pizza to the new young professional crowd in this area of South Boston. read more

I was working down the street for a while and the office staff likes to get food from here. I was hooked after the first order I got from there. The chicken they put on their salads is out of this world. It's super juicy and flavorful. And even good cold (cause you know...leftovers). But on days when I want substance, I'll go for a sub, but those are nothing to write home about. They're your basic pizzeria subs, can't compare to the chicken. Recently, having been away from the office for a while, I wanted their chicken. But I also wanted substance. So I branched out and tried the pesto chicken panini. YUM. Pretty bad, go elsewhere for pizza if you're in Southie. Ordered a specialty pizza off their menu. Told them to hold the onion. Simple, right? They did it, except they CHARGED me $2 to do it. I'm asking for less ingredients and they charge me for it?! Yea, never going there again. As for quality, it's bad. The crust tastes like cardboard, as many others have stated here. It's tough and chewy, no flavor. Would it kill you to brush some olive oil or salt the crust? Nah, you would charge another $2 for that, right? Imagine our surprise when we ordered a pizza with all the fixings and it came pretty darn near perfect You can pay more for a smaller pizza at one of the "fancy" restaurants on Broadway, but 260 does three things often not done in Southie. 1 They know how to make the dough right, 2 the ingredients are top shelf, and finally when they say a large pizza, they mean it. read more

Just another generic pizza joint, but this one charges too much posing as some artisan pizza joint. I ordered a large pie half cheese half Hawaiian. Buffalo wings well done buffalo sauce on the side extra blue cheese, coke and a vitamin water. They forgot the coke and the extra blue cheese, but they charged me .75 for the extra sides, thanks! The pizza must have been sitting on the delivery guys seat tilted so everything slid to one side of the pizza, awesome. A large pie is $11.00 + $2/topping. I ordered half Hawaiian, half cheese, so that's Half ham, half pineapple should be $2 right? Nope somehow they added $3.25 for the toppings, did they charge me for the cheese?
