    Pizzaiola, North Babylon

Very good neighborhood pizzeria. All the usual slices, a few very good specialty slices, riceballs, calzones, chicken or veggie paninis and a full sit down menu with waitress service for a bigger lunch and dinner! Service is always great as they accommodate any request you have and the ambiance is very nice and laid back. When your in the area be sure to stop in and grab a few slices or that pasta dish that your in the mood for. Thank you Pizzaiola!

The service was fast and friendly. There with a large open service area you can order and wait for without feeling like you're in the way. Completely opposite of the regular mom and pop strip mall type pizzeria, where you're crammed in a little galley way. Immediately greeted when we came in as well, our order was taken without being pushed and accommodated when we asked for some slices to be cut in half. We split a Greek slice, and warmed it up on suggestion in the oven. Definitely worth it. I tried the garlic cheese sticks and Buffalo slice as well. Buffalo slice was not as anticipated (did not make my eyes sweat) but that doesn't mean it wasn't good just a personal preference. It was more blue cheesy than Buffalo. They had a large seating space and a big window front to look out. People were coming and going at a steady pace.

This place is a must try in the west Babylon area. Dishing up pies and slices fresh out the oven. This slice had everything we wanted in a ny / long island slice good sauce to cheese ratio. Authentic flavor. Slightly crispy undercarriage. Staff was very delightful. Price was awesome. We will definitely be back to try other menu items.

They make my favorite regular slice on the Island. The owner grew up in Italy and makes one of the best REGULAR SLICES that I have had outside of NYC. The tomato sauce and mozzarella taste so fresh and are premium in quality. The dough compliments all ingredients well. The other pizza types, like the Sicilian and the Grandma's, I do not care for.

Calzone was good. We came later on in the evening probably around 9:30. Looks like they were cleaning up, but they let us sit in the back still to eat our meal. Definitely a good pizza shop.

2 Neopolitan Pizza Slices, 1 White Slice and the saddest looking Sicilian Slice.

I don't usually order Sicilian slices, but I was in the mood for a slice on the thicker side. What I wound up getting was the saddest looking Sicilian I have ever seen. It's not much thicker than a Grandma slice and wasn't even rectangular. It was the rejected corner that nobody would ever choose. No wonder they had it hidden under the counter.

I asked one of the workers if the lot was full and where they were going to park the incoming cars. He told me that they had an "additional parking lot" behind the location. I decided to drive out myself and go find street parking. I ended up finding a parking spot on a street called Madeleine Place, which was about a block and a half away from the restaurant. This was when I noticed that the valet workers were actually parking the vehicles on the same exact block. I didn't appreciate that I was lied to in regard to having an additional parking lot behind the location because I think it's important for the patrons to know where exactly their car will be while they are having dinner. After entering the restaurant, we were told to have a drink at the bar because our table wasn't ready yet, which was fine because we were several minutes early. The hostess told us that a table was paying and we would be seated shortly. While we were at the bar waiting, we must have seen three or four tables of two that had left the location. We thought we would be seated at one of those tables, however, we were actually taken to a dining area upstairs. Just to preface, the person I was dining with has dined at this restaurant numerous times with another friend who is extremely generous when it comes to paying and leaving a tip. However, on this particular night, that friend was not with us, and I feel strongly that is the reason why they did not seat us at one of those empty tables on the first floor. They brought us upstairs to a more secluded dining area. The service upstairs was significantly worse compared to the service that my friend had received numerous times on the first floor. You could also see the difference in patrons between the first floor and second floor. The food.. Presentation is great! But the taste -- sub-par! We ordered the baked artichoke from the appetizer menu, which was loaded with some type of dressing and so much cheese that you could barely taste the artichoke. We also ordered a Caesar salad, which was so mediocre. We ordered a side of asparagus was very bland. We then ordered the filet mignon, which was decent, but I feel like it's overpriced for the taste. In regard to our drink order, we were only asked once if we wanted a drink, and we felt extremely rushed throughout. I'm only giving this three stars because I can't give it 2 1/2. I personally did not have a good experience at this restaurant and I definitely won't be returning nor will I recommend it. They started off on a bad foot by lying about the parking situation.

I had a confirmed reservation made weeks in advance for a 2:30 p.m. seating for a party of four. Despite this, we were seated in the bar area and were not asked whether that would be acceptable. I do want to emphasize that our server was outstanding, one of the best I've had in recent years. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely professional. All of the service we received was excellent and deserves recognition. That said, I was hoping for the dining-room atmosphere that Primi is known for. With two dining floors, being placed in the bar area was disappointing, especially for a holiday meal. We were seated at small lacquered bar tables pushed together to accommodate four people, which felt cramped and overly casual. When a meal for four approaches $700, I think it's reasonable to expect a true dining-room experience-proper tables, linens, and an atmosphere that feels intentional and special. I don't really drink; I come out for great food and a great overall experience, and the setting matters. The food itself was excellent and the service was top-notch, but the seating choice ultimately took away from what I hoped would be a special-occasion dining experience. I'm always looking to add new restaurants to my "go-to" list, and while Primi delivered on food and service, the atmosphere that evening fell short of expectations.

The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out. Perhaps I will come here strictly for the drinks next time.
