Look I got grilled chicken Caesar salad and I added shrimp. Shrimp was bangin! A salad isn't usually something I get but hey I gotta try and diet lol. Went in there with 11 family members and they accommodated us just fine. Amanda was our waitress and she was a very nice person to deal with. Food came out fast and full of flavor. While you wait for your food they bring you warm fresh bread of various sorts. I had the shrimp Parmesan that I was able to split with my wife. They serve you a lot of food. I write this review with a bit of discomfort from overeating - and that's a good thing. It's not often you try a new restaurant and everything you eat is a solid 10/10. For me, this was the case. I had penne alla vodka that came with generous chunks of prosciutto, and the most tender veal parmesan I've ever had. The bread was still steaming when we sat down. I call today Wednesday 06/08/22 approximately 5:30pm for delivery which has never been a problem for a year that I have been ordering from them. Name and address on FILE. All of a sudden it's a problem today. The woman who answered the one was extremely NASTY and tried to make it as if I was lying about them delivering to my address. When I gave her my NUMBER I was already in the SYSTEM. So who is lying? She asked her "manager" and she denied the delivery. When I explained how many times I've ordered from here before they proceeded to "let it pass this time." Horrible disgusting business, I hung up the phone because I will not be dealing with someone with no manners. If you're so miserable working in the food industry then do yourself a favor and QUIT. My office catered a pizza party for a coworker that was leaving the company and they ordered the pizza from here. I cannot attest to their restaurant services but can tell you about the quality of the pizzas. I had their buffalo chicken pizza and a grandma slice. While the taste was there in terms of topics (I really enjoyed the spice level of the buffalo), the crust was just not right for me. It was bland and lacked the crunchiness I liked. Came here tonight with my mom & sister. They both got ziti, garlic and oil & penne alla vodka which I normally get. I figured I would branch out & try tortellini Alfredo. The portion size was SO tiny on the tortellini.. so disappointed literally had to go home & cook another meal after eating their grossly over priced pasta. Not my favorite pizza place in Deer Park. Underwhelming selection of specialty slices, chicken roll, regular slice, and Sicilian slice lacking flavor. The red sauce is just bland, which makes everything lack flavor. The chicken roll barely had any sauce on it, but even with a side of sauce it was lacking flavor. This place is a returning diner for me. I come here more for their pasta and coffee. Their coffee is always served with a piece of biscotti, a great combination together. A basket full of warm assorted bread. Today I ordered from their special menu Pasta Fanatico, spinach linguine served with roasted red pepper and asparagus, and grilled chicken strips in a creamy light Marsala sauce. I ordered a cheese pie on my way home from work today. It's in the back corner of a shopping center off of Deer Park Ave. If you didn't know about it, it would be easy to miss. The place was pretty nice inside. It's much bigger than your average pizza place. When I went to pay, I was looking at all of the specialty slices. They all looked really good and fresh!! Food is very good. Price is very high for portions. Had pick up fusilli casalinga 1.5 oz of chicken 3 broccoli rabe and 2 oz of pasta. Almost $15 bucks. So not worth it. VERY OVER PRICED. A pound of pasta is less then a dollar at least fill take out container with more if that. read more

My scale for mussels is usually good to AMAZING but I was so disappointed. The Fra Diavolo sauce was spicy in some places, totally bland and chunky in others. The person I was with seemed to enjoy his food, but I could have sworn there was a sticker in his soup (he ate it before I could do anything). With so much Italian food on Long Island, Pizzaiola is dealing with some serious competition. Working late at my office, I knew Pizzaiola delivered, so I figured I would try them out. Twice, I ordered some pasta dishes from there and was not too impressed... The first time I ordered Linguine w/ clams in a garlic & extra virgin olive oil brodino. Maybe I should have looked up what "brodino" was before hand (I now know this to mean "light soup"). Anyways, the dish came in a bed of olive oil literally 3 inches deep. It was completely soaked and overwhelming. The next time I ordered Rigatoni Fiorentina which is fresh chicken, spinach & mozzarella cheese tossed in a creamy pink sauce, served over rigatoni pasta. Once again the sauce was completely dominating and super heavy with the cream. There was barely any spinach and the chicken was nothing special. On both occasions, the pasta came with a loaf of bread which was stale and flaky. Our office has their pizza delivered sometimes and it's average. I've also eaten a panini with grilled chicken, broccoli rabe, fresh mozzarella and red peppers. It was super greasy but tasted pretty good - the toasted roll it came on was very good. And for this, I was able to bump Pizzaiola up from 1 star to 2 stars. read more

My coworkers love this place and I've had it for lunch with them a few times. We mostly order ahead and pickup but once we dined in. I stick to the salads because of my gluten allergy. I've had their house salad with grilled chicken and their antipasto salad. Adding chicken to a salad gets you two full pieces of chicken, which means I have enough for more than one meal. They package the chicken in a separate takeout container from the salad which I find a little unusual, although not a problem. The small antipasto salad is the perfect size for lunch for me. Today I didn't order ahead and was able to get my salad in 5 minutes, awesome service. Last time I waited about 20 minutes though. It's a hit or miss on timing with how crowded they are, so ordering ahead is your smartest move. read more

I live locally and this is my pizza place when I want pizza/Itailan dinners...located in the Sunset Plaza shopping center on Deer Park avenue, in the corner by King Kullen. Always fresh, always awesome and the meatball pie is something of magic! I have not eaten in the restaurant in some time, but since there food is awesome I would expect the same IN the restaurant! Portions are HUGE and I usually always have leftovers!! They have another location in Oceanside, and with mobs of people I always see waiting to pick up a pizza, I know they are doing something right!! Came here for a quick bite to eat during lunchtime with my mom. Whenever I come back to NY to visit home I gotta load up with some decent Italian food. California does Mexican great; Italian, not so much. Had a veal parm hero, mom got the chicken parm hero. We shared and gave one another the other half of the sandwich. HUGE portion (one half of the sandwich was pretty much the size of a normal sandwich to me)! Mine was pretty good. I asked the waitress if the veal was tender before I ordered, and she almost seemed unsure when she said it was - I'm pretty sure she never tried it before. It was OK. I hadn't had veal in a while, so it was satisfying enough. My mom's chicken parm was good, too, although I think when they fried it they may have used a bit too much oil; it was slightly greasy. All in all, A-OK. I just wish they had smaller, more inexpensive options to their dinner menu - I originally was really craving some chicken marsala, but they only had the dinner portion for like $18 bucks. Also, there's a draft in this place that makes it really hard to get comfy and relax with your coat off! The owner might wanna look into fixing that. read more

When boyfriend and I moved to the suburbs, our landlord gave us the keys to our new apartment and a menu to Pizzaiola. That night, we ordered the first of several pizzas from the Pizzaiola to see if it was up to snuff or if we would need to go elsewhere for pizza. My test with any restaurant anywhere is to order something really basic -- if a place can do basic well, I feel confident enough to branch out. We got a plain cheese pizza... and a salad because I couldn't resist. The pizza was good. Not bad, not awesome, but a pretty solid cheese pizza. The freshness of the salad was what got me - mesclun greens with gorgonzola, ripe tomatoes full of flavor without the mealiness hothouse tomatoes get, and onions with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. They had me at ripe tomatoes. Since that first meal, we have had a few different combinations from Pizzaiola and hands down my recommendation is the grandma pizza and my original salad from that first night.
