Great local slice shop. Located in the corner of a shopping center it can be alittle crowded but the food and service are worth the Mayhem. I ordered the "four horseman" of a local slice shop to audition them for a spot in my regular rotation (as my usual local joint has been slacking). Regular, Sicilian, specialty slice and some type of menu item. Regular pizza is on point. Great football pizza that you can plow down any random Friday from January till December. Specialty slice (margherita) was nice and thin as it should be. Sauce could use alittle more Tang but the ingredients were fresh and you can't ask for anything else getting something like this from a local joint. Veggie roll (menu item) was very cheesy (which for my wife is a must). Shops also tend to cheat flavors on these so they add extra garlic. They did not do this which is very important! Bonus points for that. In terms of service they had me in and out of there quickly. They saw I grabbed a menu to take with me (which is the universal symbol of first timer) so they tossed in a few extra garlic knots which smell amazing (I haven't tried them yet to be honest). Pizzaiola is serviceable pizza. It's close, and it does the job. They kind of answer the phone over there like the lady from Ghostbusters, "pizzaiola, whaddya want?" I really can not say enough at Pizzaiola. Everything from the service to the food was amazing. I dined in on a Monday for dinner which just so happened to be pasta night. My friend and I ordered the chicken francese and the spaghetti al cartoccio. Each dish came with salad or soup so we got one of each. The pasta e fagolio was deliciously authentic, and was served in a nice sized bowl. The chicken francese was cooked perfectly and had just the right balance of lemon. Last but not least, my favorite dish...spaghetti al cartoccio: spaghetti pasta tossed with fresh shrimp & crumbled sweet sausage sautéed in a Sambuca infused pink sauce, baked & served in a foil pouch. Two words ORDER THIS! Never in my life have I seen a pasta dish baked in foil but its unique preparation really creates a perfect blend of flavors. Came here with a group of friends after a long day in Long Island. We ordered the penne a la vodka with grilled chicken, meatballs and spaghetti, chicken franchese with linguini, and the shrimp with pasta. The penne a la vodka was not so great, it didn't taste like vodka sauce at all. But the chicken was pretty good and flavored. The chicken franchese was delicious, I have no complaints about that. The shrimp with pasta was also pretty good and full of flavor. The customer service was absolutely terrible. It was pretty packed but still no excuse to not give us menus for 15 minutes, no water for 20 minutes and no one took our order until another 20 minutes later. So fellow helpers as you may or may not know, I was away on a military deployment for a while and only got back stateside last month. Anyway, I was a big fan of Pizzaiola when I lived in the area and wanted my first craving to be from Pizzaiola. Well to my surprise it was awefull ! Spent a lot of $ for this really tasteless meal. Calamari was grossly over cooked, backed flames were the worst I ever had. The bread crumb topping was raw, the linguine and clams my dad said was the worst he ever had, the lasagne was still cold in middle and very salty as was my chicken franchese. It's pretty, but nothing about it stands out from any other pizzeria restaurant you may find. The staff is polite, always referring to me as "sweetheart" or "hun" but not in a skeevy kind of way. (Ladies, you know what I mean!) Always a sucker for a buffalo chicken slice, I ordered one, and was floored. It's obviously fresh. Not too Buffalo-y, just the right amount of kick and hot, gooey cheese. At just about 4 dollars a slice, its expensive for pizza but worth every penny. On a second visit, I tried the plain slice and the calzone. Both were fresh, warm, amazing. There's something homey about the way it's nothing extraordinary and still somehow perfect. There's a whole menu to explore, but on a third visit, I got the Buffalo chicken slice again just to see if it was really that good or if I had just been insanely hungry that day. The kind of hunger where even Pizza Hut is amazing pizza at that point (and there's a Pizza Hut across the street). Nope. Once I saw someone else's Sicilian slice, knew I had to have it. We had the rice balls first. In all honesty, the marinara blew me away. No one in FL can make a decent sauce. I wanted to lick the plate! We then had a couple slices of regular cheese pizza & a couple Sicilian. To my delight, the regular was my fav! The crust, so thin & crispy. The right amount of cheese to sauce ratio with just a hint of oil that dripped off. The restaurant is very spacious, busy (but operated in a timely manner) and friendly atmosphere. Good was very delicious for the most part . The stuffed rigatoni phenomenons. The gluten free pizza wasn't great to be honest. It was very plain, I think it would benefit to having for seasoning in the sauce on even some simple oregano on top of the pizza for some sort of extra taste. This is the worst Italian place ever. My boyfriend's sister is obsessed with this place and since they are Italian, I figured this place would be good. It wasn't.
