    Butter Chicken Pasta Twist
    Lewis S.

We all do it. You drive past an interesting spot with an interesting name and you say to yourself "I need to try that." Maybe you look the business up when you get home and then life goes on and you forget to stop and try it for months or maybe a year. Thats what I did, and finally tonight thought I want pizza but not just cheese or pepperoni like my kids eat weekly but something out of the ordinary. Enter Pizza Twist, that place I've driven past numerous times repeatedly thinking to myself "I need to try that place." And it fit the bill and exceeded my expectations. I don't know why I'm so surprised. After all, I love Indian Food and Naan Bread and pizza is just a meld of the two plus cheese. The Butter Chicken Pizza was delicious and the wings in curry sauce may have been even better. It's definitely worth a stop.

Pizza Twist is an international pizza chain that started in Sacramento, California. It was originally known as Chicago's Pizza with a Twist. Today, they have 103 locations. Like most pizza chains, Pizza Twist uses frozen, pre-formed dough. Known for using locally sourced ingredients and premium quality GMO-free meat, Pizza Twist offers traditional and Indian-influenced pizzas. They have Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, and Halal options On 7/1/23, I tried Pizza Twist in Boise for the first time. I ordered a small Spicy Lamb Kabob pizza ($13.99), which is a customer favorite. Spicy Lamb Kabob pizza has their signature Tandoori sauce, fresh diced mozzarella cheese, sliced lamb, crisp red onions, spicy jalapeno, juicy pineapple, fresh diced; garlic, ginger, and green chilies, garnished with fresh cilantro. My experience at Pizza Twist exceeded my expectations! The service was excellent even though they were very busy the night I visited. Owner Raj took my order. He asked how spicy I wanted my pizza. I told him that I like spicy food and asked him to make me the Pizza the way he would, if making it for himself. My pizza was ready to go in about 20 minutes. My pizza was still hot when I got home, which is about a 10 minute drive. The pizza crust was unremarkable, but the flavor combination of the toppings was outstanding! I wouldn't normally order pizza with pineapple, but the sweetness of the pineapple paired perfectly with the lamb and spicy jalapeño. I understand why the Spicy Lamb Kabob is a customer favorite. It's unlike any pizza I've ever had, with a unique combination of flavors that is downright addictive. I would definitely order it again. Next, I would like to try the Butter Chicken pizza. Highly Recommended!!! *Pizza Twist also has a location in Meridian.

Achari chicken wings, fork is placed to compare size of wings

We used to eat at the Broadway pizza twist all the time, we went there last week and was very disappointed. Pizza was good but the achari wings that we ordered were really tiny. $30 for 24 extremely tiny wings seems too much.Wings were so overcooked that kids refused to eat them. Please bring back the same quality that was there last year.

Chicken Tikka Masada. Bland as could be. Little Indian flavor.

I wanted to like Pizza Twist. I really did. I love the idea of Indian-style toppings such as chicken tikka masala, tandoori or butter chicken. Those are flavors you can identify with your eyes closed. That said, crust is what makes or breaks a pizza. The photos of Pizza Twist crusts suggested a buttery Chicago crust, but the reality was far different. It had no crunch or character. The toppings on the tikka masala and butter chicken pizzas were just as disappointing. There was nothing to set them apart as being Indian. Bland as bland can be. While not that busy, it took more than 33 minutes to produce two small pizzas for takeout. I was surprised it took that long. The space is small, with only two tables. The focus, obviously is on takeout service. I tried ordering online, but the system refused to finalize my order. After trying twice, I gave up and drove to the shop. With such a long wait time and the poor quality of the pizzas, I doubt I will give them a second chance. And to think I came in with such high hopes. Another strike against chain pizza. They're not alone.

OMG! my husband said when he took his first bite of the lamb kabob pizza which it was recommended by the coolest owner ever. Unfortunately, it was his last day, but we got a pleasure to meet him. Best pizza, breadsticks and lemon chicken wings in town

If I had one wish, it would be more money to eat here. I love Indian food. I love pizza. Best of both worlds and you can stick to typical American toppings if you like. The crust is crispy and buttery. The pizza is great the next day, as I expect it to be. After trying a few things and finding what my taste buds prefer, I think I'm getting closer to my favorite taste. Last time I had the butter chicken Pizza with a "2" spicy level. I want more. I dream of more. Try the place. Seriously.

Awesome Pizza Joint with Great Vegan options. The vegan cheesy bread is so cheezy!!! And delicious without surprisingly being too oily. Perfect taste. Pizzas were also great. Customer service was great. They were very courteous and we asked for cups of water and they gave our kids a couple of bottled waters instead. Its these things that keep customers coming back. Not too often you see businesses do this anymore. Keep up the good food and customer service Pizza Twist!

Even the bun was soft yet held everything together perfectly, which is something a lot of places overlook. What really stood out was the attention to detail across the whole meal. Whether you're just stopping in for a quick bite or looking for a go-to burger spot, this place absolutely delivers. That is the description of what I ordered for their handmade fresh pasta rigatoni that I got. Let me just say that all these flavors that they put into one dish were absolutely amazing. I really did not think they needed to have the spinach and mushrooms. Because the lemon crema and the Gorgonzola cheese were absolute phenomenal the braze beef was just to die for. This is a very small restaurant and there's only so many tables to get. I was able to sit at the bar which Aisha was the bartender. He did an amazing job and really helped lead me to my order of ordering the rigatoni. I had a beer with dinner and I did not order dessert. If you need to go to the bathroom, there is a door that leads outside the restaurant to the bathroom the weight was a little bit long for it, and luckily a neighboring coworker was able to lead me to their bathroom. I highly recommend checking out this place just because of the handmade pasta, which was something of a unique taste because it was well worth the price

She was drawn to this location not only due the reviews but that they had the option of accommodating those with dietary restrictions. We were all excited to be there for the food but to also celebrate her. Booking the tables was quite an ordeal, but we managed. Unfortunately, at last minute, she learned that two members of her family that were supposed to attend, elected not to. As she did not find out until later in the day, she would not have been able to provide adequate time to contact them to let them now of the changes. I do want to share that overall, the experience was fantastic. Justin was a great server and the food and drinks were delicious. We did not get pictures of everything, but we ordered the following: Bucatini alle Vongole, Rigatoni, Blood Orange Bellini, (non-alcoholic) Limoncello Spritz, Lemon-Raspberry Tiramisu, and Pistachio Florentine Cannoli. I checked in with the others in our party, and they also indicated that the food was fantastic and the service wonderful. The concern we had was how some of our party was treated. This occurred on the evening on Friday, May 8, 2026. As mentioned, two members of her family elected not to join at the last minute. My friend and her wife relayed this to the hostess. My friend offered to try to squeeze into the booth with her other family members. The hostess then looked her and her family members up and down (with her face distorted in judgement), and said "you can try." My friend and her wife elected to sit at another table with two of her friends leaving the other table that had been reserved available (which was filled within 20 minutes by another party). This hostess then went over to the table where my friend is sitting and places her hand on the table, but I could not discern what was said. I find that type of behavior abhorrent. It is not only distasteful, but also makes patrons wonder if that is how this restaurant, this business, is run. If she is the first person you encounter, the face of this restaurant, the first impression - it does not bode well. There are some that may read this and think I am exaggerating, but I did note earlier, that the rest of our service was wonderful and the food divine. I do hope that whoever at the restaurant does monitor these reviews, really takes this feedback into consideration as I am sure that they do not want to be known as a space that shames patrons.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! It has a nice ambience. Inside are a combination of booths, half booths, low and bar height tables, dark wood, with a nice semi-circular bar with a nice, semi-circular metal decoration that was filled with artificial plants, wine bottles, and small kegs. There was a wine rack accent wall on the right. It is located in downtown Boise at the corner of Idaho and 8th St along restaurant row. Our server was Matthew B, and while he was a nice guy, he did not provide good service. It took him a while to get to our table, then after we ordered drinks, it took too long to get them. We then ordered appetizers but he didn't take our dinner orders. We waited too long for the appetizers, and then we ordered our dinners, which also took a while to come out. Runners brought our food out, not Matthew. He did not to refill the women's sodas, we had to ask. He did bring another glass of wine to one of the men, but that was because he was signaled. He did not ask the other people that ordered beer and cocktails if they wanted another. We never had our water glasses refilled. We told him about the birthday celebration, and all he said was, if we ordered dessert, he would put a candle on it. What? Most places serve a complimentary dessert for a birthday celebration. He also took too long to bring us our checks. We're all good tippers. We gave him 15%; he didn't deserve it. The food was OK, not spectacular, but overpriced. As far as the apetizers, the asparagus fries were not that flavorful, though nicely crusted. The cauliflower was just OK, likewise the chicken wings. I did like the honey and balsamic grilled brussel sprouts. Speaking for my wife and I, she liked the BAM Sammy. The side salad was average. I ordered the Urban Burger. While the patty was cooked well, it was small. I can get a bigger, better burger that costs less at any number of restaurants we frequent, including a few near us (we live in Star). I did like the fries. Crispy, with I believe Parmesan cheese coating them. My friend said his smoked salmon salad was just OK. We found it very loud, and difficult to hear each other in conversation. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to Fork.
