    Chicken marsala, naan, kebabs
    Noelle V.

Went here last night with a friend and honestly? One of those nights that reminds you why going out to eat is supposed to be fun. We were greeted immediately by the owner, who shook our hands, introduced himself, and instantly made us feel welcome. Like... genuinely welcome, not "hi table for two" welcome. When we were shown to our table, I noticed the raised platform where you can sit on the floor and was like, oh absolutely yes. We asked if we could sit there and suddenly we had this whole cozy room to ourselves. He even drew the curtain so it felt private and special -- chef's kiss. The food was incredible. The chicken marsala was out-of-this-world good, the naan was warm and delicious, and the kebabs were fresh with perfectly seasoned, tender meat. Everything tasted thoughtful and made with care. But the real standout? The service. Hands down. The owner kept checking in on us, making sure we were good, asking if we needed anything, joking with us -- just the right balance of attentive and chill. By the end of the night, he even shared a bit of his story and talked about where he lived in Afghanistan, which made the whole experience feel even more meaningful. We laughed, we lingered, we had the best time. If you're looking for something a little different, a little special, with incredible food and even better hospitality -- this is it. Go hungry, go curious, and don't skip the floor seating if you get the chance.

Mast kahir- Persian version. Was outstanding!

The man that works the front of the house will be your friend. He has outstanding customer service. You can tell he loves what he does, truly. Over the last several years, the restaurant is looking more and more beautiful. And now, for the food.... The best in Boise. Hands down. I have tried all the middle eastern food, because it is my favorite. The Kabob House has it dialed with flavors and portions. What an exceptional restaurant. I will be back again and again.

Chai tea.. I was to busy eating forgot to take pics of food.

This was my first time in Boise and also first time eating food from this region. It was great experience and awesome food. Please go and visit and taste some great food.

Always a fun experience! We took some friends from out of town and as usual we were not disappointed. Very authentic high quality food! Our friends have 2 little girls and they made a special dish with no spice for them and brought them juice boxes which thrilled them!

some of the best middle eastern food I've ever had and the best in Boise easily. everyone's extremely hospitable and there isn't a bad dish on the menu.

More empty at 2pm on Sunday, but a steady stream of grubhub and similar pickups

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at Kabob House. The lesson is not to "judge a book by its cover" because the ambiance isn't a good measure of the food. Really enjoyed the lamb, giant naan, delicious curry, and sweet Persian tea. So good, I added an extra to-go order!

This is my favorite place for Middle Eastern Cuisine. We ordered two different lamb dishes and the goat curry, and all were amazing. The customer care here is also outstanding. Shams, the owner, makes you feel very welcome and always ensures you have the best experience here. The ambience is also clean, and nice. This restaurant is my first choice when it comes to eat here in Meridia

Honestly one of the best places I've eaten here in Boise. It's very much a hidden gem! Food portion is pretty big and if you're waiting on food to go, the gentleman up front will usually bring you some tea if you're sitting alone. This place makes it feel like you're visiting a friend significantly better than just dining out. The staff is always so pleasant to be around! They can absolutely accommodate big families or just a couple. Either way you will always want to say goodbye vs just leaving after paying!

I been going to Kabob House for years. It's one of our favorite restaurants to go to. I love their food. Our favorites are Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Biryani, Butter Chicken, Kofta Chalow and Naan. Most of the time the owner waited on us. He is so friendly and treated us like royalties.

Me and my mother frequent this place because the food is just amazing. I am yet to try a dish here I don't love! The owner is a very sweet guy and they always get the food out at reasonable times. I love the decor and this restaurant as a whole!

I dated a middle eastern man for a few years and let me tell you, his family knew how to throw down. They honestly made the best kabobs, tea and hummus around. So, trying to eat these things at other joints without being too harsh is very hard. But, I decided to give Kabob house a try today. My dental assistant that was working on me went there for lunch and she very much enjoyed it so I took it as a sign to go. I did come in at an odd lunch hour. It was pushing 2 when I got there. There were a table of guests wrapping up and then me. The waiter was having his own lunch when I walked in. I gladly stopped what he doing and greeted me. He let me pick out a table so I headed to the other end of the restaurant to sit by myself. I was given a bottle of water and a few minutes to look over the menu. Everything looked good! I like that they have some of my favorites like butter chicken and hummus. I decided on the combination kabob. I snagged the chicken and beef shami. While I was waiting for the food to be prepared, I ordered some tea. I ordered the tea with the spices and the milk. I recently fell in love with the spiced tea at a local Indian restaurant that had similar spices. That tea was life changing. But unfortunately, I didn't get the tea with the milk. It was still good tea but I was hoping for the milk tea. It did feel like my food took forever to be prepared. But when it finally came out my plate looked amazing. I love when my food is charred. The chicken and beef kabob were both charred nicely! I got a beautiful helping of biriyani with some salad and fries I grabbed a fry first. Being an Idaho girl, of course I'm going to eat the potatoe first. Ya, I got served cold fries. I'm sure they were prepared earlier, left in a bowl and needed to be used up. I worked on my salad next. The dressing was clean and tart tasting. But my salad was wilted which was a bummer. I'm sure the salad would have tasted great if the salad mix was fresh. The salad mix tasted like a previously dressed that was dressed earlier, you ate some and decided to go back 30 minutes later to finish the rest. The biriyani was fluffy. Paired with either the chicken or beef kabob.... perfect bite! The beef kabob had a slight heat to it. It kinda crept up on you after you eat a few bites of it. The chicken was flavorful. The chicken was still tender despite it being white meat chicken. I appreciate how much chicken and beef you got in each kabob. I was only able to finish half. I really want to give this place 4 stars cause the service was great and the kabobs were tasty. But I can't get over my cold fries and wilted salad. I know those 2 things are the main stars of the dish but what a great combination it would have been to be able to eat the salad and chicken together. My server was really nice and grabbed me a to go cup for my tea. Even though the tea was good, I had wanted the other tea. Maybe it was the time that I went was the reason why my plate wasn't the best. So, I do look forward to coming back at a normal dining hour to hopefully have a better experience with the food and tea.

Eating here today was truly a delightful experience. Shams, the owner, was so generous and hospitable that it felt like I had been a long time friend of his.The food was sensational as well. I got the tikka kabobs, tikka masala, and lamb curry with naan and when I tell you...I was mesmerized with every bite. His recipes are so rich in flavor that it leaves you nearly speechless. Having the chai tea to go along with it was the cherry on top. I live in Emmett so it's quite the drive for me, but I cannot wait to come back!

Lamb Biryani comes with a small side salad.

While many establishments in the area are shuttered on Sundays, Madhuban Indian Cuisine welcomed us with open doors and exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who seated us and took the time to explain the Punjabi-style traditions they celebrate through their menu. The Food: Tandoori Chicken: My husband opted for this classic, and it did not disappoint. Muttar Paneer: One of my personal favorites--perfectly prepared and flavorful. Naan: We both enjoyed a side of their delicious, fresh naan which tied the whole meal together. The Atmosphere & Service: While our meal was perfect, the evening provided a stark study in human character. The party of three at the table next to us--a mother, son, and daughter-in-law--seemed determined to find fault. They repeatedly berated the server regarding the spice levels of their food, despite having requested those specific levels themselves. The server remained remarkably calm and patient, even as the party made disparaging remarks about his English proficiency--a truly disconcerting display of entitlement. When the younger woman complained of the heat, the server kindly suggested a Mango Lassi to soothe the spice. She snapped back, "You said the food was not going to be spicy, so how should I trust you?" The height of irony came at the end of the night: after a meal spent complaining, the mother told the server, "Oh yes, we will come here many more times." Before we departed, we made sure to apologize to the server for the behavior of those around us. If you are in Boise and looking for authentic Indian food served with grace and patience, please reach out to the team at Madhuban. They deserve your business.

The chicken was super tender. The sauce was exceptionally flavorful and the spice level was mild enough to not fry your tastebuds. There were so many delicious dishes (tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, vegetable curry, lamb and so much more) which is not surprising considering the award winning chef. Hasan, the Manager / owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to let us know the history of the dishes we were eating and his family's journey that brought them (thank God) to the treasure valley. This place is a treasure in the Boise area and should not be missed whether you are ordering a phenomenal takeout, having a spectacular lunch or grabbing a one of a kind dinner. I have never ordered above this though so I am worried it might jump to being too hot. * Some of the dishes I find favorable (especially the cream ones, but some of them are a bit bland (like the Vindaloo, Curries and Rogan Josh). They are still enjoyable, but if I order a Vindaloo I want it to pop. Overall, a solid place for dine in or takeout. I would recommend the lunch buffet if you want to try this place out first before committing to a larger meal.
