Pizza Stop has the BEST BLT sandwiches and Chicken Salad Sandwich I think I have ever had. There Chicken Salad might even be better then my mom's 'rest her soul " the chicken is always so fresh. The BLT's are great the beacon is never over cooked.   When ever I order one I always get an extra one for the next day.  I always get delivery and the delivery service is great. The driver's  always ask me if my order is OK before they leave. On the very rare occasion when they might forget a drink or something they come right back with it.  I never leave reviews this is my first. But I had to let people know if your looking for a GREAT sandwich please try there BLT's and Chicken Salad sandwiches. This week I hosted a professional training meeting for 15 people and had Pizza Stop provide the catering. They did an outstanding job! The food was prepared and delivered on time, staff professional, presentation looked great, and the food was delicious. The tuna and chicken salad subs stood out as very tasty, the salad was huge and very fresh, and the cookie platter! YUMmmm! I had frequented this restaurant for at least two decades. It changed ownership about three years ago, definitely for the better. The food here is absolutely fresh and delicious, the servings ample. I had one of the best steak and cheese subs, ever, here. The fries are the large crinkle-cut variety, which are becoming (sadly) replaced by the thin julienned types in most other restaurants. Had carry out meal of Spinach Lasagna & Chicken Parmigiana last night. Both were very good and also enjoyed the Friday night special: buy a glass of wine for $3.00 and get $2.00 off your pasta dinner. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Pizza stop and their new owners have pleasantly surprised me in many ways. My family and I read some of the worse reviews and were concerned, but tried it anyway. We walked in to be greeted by a friendly face and seated quickly. The service was phenomenal and the new owners related to us on a personal level and made us feel very welcome. The white pizza and lasagna were delicious and everything is made in house. The new owners have made it so much more modern and open and have new updates to come. Kids get free ice cream and the server changed the tv on request. Definitely recommend. read more

I got a Groupon coupon for Pizza Stop to try their pizza. I lived in Brooklyn, NY in the 70's and I now live in Kensington. I always crave for the real NY pizza and pizza places here don't serve it. Although some places claim they serve it, I have not found the authentic NY pizza that I know. Even Grimaldi's in Brooklyn does not cut it. The pizza should be pliable and you can fold up a slice and eat it with your hands. I went to Pizza Stop with a friend. Their pizza crust is just what I had been craving for. The sauce was flavorful - I could taste the tomatoes not like pizza from other places where the sauce is tasteless. A little bit of oregano would have made it better. They certainly did not skimp on the cheese. The crust was just the way I liked it - NY style. They had the half-priced pizza (Mondays only) but could not get that price with a Groupon Coupon. My friend and I also had some eggplant fries which we loved. Those are rarely served in restaurants here unless you go to a place that serves tempura but you will have to pay a lot more. The haddock fillet sandwich was big and was very good. Overall, the food was good and the price reasonable. I would definitely come back to get pizza. read more

My coworkers and I have a 'Thursday Take Out Lunch' day and this is where we get it from. They deliver and have a pretty diverse menu so it seems to satisfy everyone ordering. They've got strombolis, subs, pizza, sandwiches, wraps, salads and I'm sure a few other things. I usually get a Super Bird which is a hot turkey, cheese and bacon sandwich that comes with fries. For the other sandwiches, the fries are separate, so it's not a bad little combo. It's tasty, nice sized and just a good lunch option. The chicken cheesesteak is not bad either. So it's called Pizza Stop for a reason and I'm guessing that pizza is supposed to be their specialty. I don't know what others got, but I will definitely vouch for their white pizza w/ spinach and ricotta. It is a new favorite of mine that is giving the Super Bird a run for it's money. The spinach is fresh, big leaves and the cheese combo is garlicky and tasty. Can't wait for next Thursday! read more

Its been a few months since I've been there and I just went tonight. We always loved their pizza and the wings were my favorite place to get them, but noticed it was different this time. Pizza in Maryland is generally challenging, especially for someone used to NY pizza. Pizza Stop is satisfying and pretty close.

Awful with new ownership. Have tried twice and they didn't get either order correct. First was delivery and it was the wrong pizza. Tonight was a pick up order for three pizzas. Clueless guy on the phone, girl at register couldn't find the order. Finally found it, which was wrong, and I corrected her. She said oh yah that's what we have, the receipt is wrong, and got my pizzas. Two of the three were wrong. How hard is this, you are a pizza place? Worse, she knew they were wrong and didn't care and sent me out with them anyway. The pizza wasn't even that good. Not much taste and the crust was too chewy. And too expensive! Done with Pizza Stop. I have been coming to this pizza stop for years. This is my last time going. I ordered a medium stromboli, i got a extra small instead. It was all crust and there was no stuffing. I ordered french fries, there was literally 20 fries in the box. They also raised their prices on everything. The new management is very rude and do not care about their customers. Hadn't ordered from here in a while so decided to give it another shot...and pretty much came to the same conclusion as last year: this is a solid place for 'cheap' pizza. Nothing particularly great or bad about it--though i continue to maintain that Pizza Stop goes lighter on the toppings than most places and than is warranted by the price. I will say that the meat pizzas are considerably better than the veggie pizzas--the quality of the sausage was good, the mushrooms and peppers, not so much. On the positive side the place is family owned so if you like to support local businesses (as I do) keep that in mind.
