I ordered the chicken kabob dinner. Was an only fav and it had been a long time since I ordered it. They changed the chicken. As seen in the recent pic the chicken is chicken shish or taz mahal (I am guessing) given the red color. In the past it looked like plain grilled chicken. It was tasty. I love the charred vegetables. read more

I ordered a chicken and pineapple pizza and instead they gave me pepperoni, even though I don't eat pork. When I tried to address the mistake, the staff was rude and unhelpful. The manager, Junaid Malik, not only mishandled the situation but also charged me twice for the same order. On top of that, he wasn't wearing a face mask during a time when safety is very important, and I was made to come out during curfew because of their error. They also failed to inform me whether the food was halal, which caused even more frustration. Overall, a very unprofessional and disappointing experience I would not recommend giving them your business. 1 read more

Basil's Pizza Subs & More - Wrong pizza I ordered for chicken and pineapple I don't eat pork they decided to put pepperoni - Pizza Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

I always forget to take pictures and just know it's nice to experience Pizza without worrying about consuming pork ( for those who are kosher or halal). The staff have been friendly and the pizza is always good. I wouldn't bring a crowd but that shouldn't stop you from going there to feed a crowd. The floors aren't sticky ( always a plus) and is reminiscent of the old school carryout times of youth. read more

My family decided to try Basil's Pizza Subs & More... HUGE LET DOWN! The order was being delivered by a third party, and there was no safety seal on the pizza boxes. The quality of the food should cause the person(s) in the kitchen nothing but shame. The subs had chopped cabbage... not lettuce. One of the subs had the wrong cheese. We were charged for extra cheese, which wasn't provided. The fish was fried to the point where it was very dark and appeared to be burnt. There was a hair on one of the subs. The order took a very long time. I saw absolutely no reason that made the time we had to wait, worth an apparent lack of effort given to ensuring quality. I don't see us ordering from this establishment again. read more

So the mixed reviews had me concerned, but I had my grandsons with me and they love pizza!! we were waiting for our vehicle to be fixed so we decided to go get pizza and hopefully by the time we were done, it will be ready! I can't begin to boast on this place. The pizza was so good. My grandkids ate three slices of piece and they are two and three it's thin crust but the New York style everything was so good. We even got wings and for two pizzas and Wings 40 bucks you can't beat that anywhere. We will definitely be back. read more

Their customer service needs improvement. I ordered what's written in there menu, a BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomatoe). Then there's an add on button if you would like to add condiments or extras. I pressed Mayo. I received a bacon Mayo sandwich. I called to tell them and instead of addressing the issue or replacing/refunding she told me there was a miscommunication. If that's the case, they should not have an add on section. I did not say leave the Lettuce or tomato out. See attached. It says BLT, with the added Mayo. Did not say leave the main ingredients to a BLT out, smh. read more

Ordered through Uber eats. When we got our food, they missed half our order. When we called them the woman tried to blame the Uber driver that he never gave us all our food and asked if we got two bags of food bc she packed two bags of food. Yes you idiot, we got two bags of food that were still double knotted and unopened, what I'm telling you is you forgot half of the food we ordered, you didn't put it I. The friggin bag. Then She tells us to just reorder it from the app and she just make it again and not charge us., it's like you must be super slow bc it clearly doesnt work that way. Where the hell is the accountability these days? Since no one delivers their own food anymore the blame only gets shifted. Pizza sucks, order pizza elsewhere, try an actual pizza place. read more

We love Basil's! We've been ordering food from Basil's for about five years and have never been disappointed. Although we order mostly pizza because we have picky grandkids, we've tried the breads and salads and they're delicious too. We hope to try the kabobs and subs someday soon because they look wonderful. This is a real neighborhood treasure. Brent Jacocks read more

My husband and I have been missing good pizza ever since we moved to Kentucky. While visiting DC we ordered a late night pizza and we were not disappointed! After a year of bad pizza in Kentucky this place was like finding the holy grail! The pizza came fresh, hot and delicious. Honestly it would probably have been just as delicious cold. We may be ordering from them again before our departure in two days. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Wow! My six year old is a pizza connoisseur, and she gave her black olive pizza a 10 out of 10. Trust me, that's rare. I ordered through UberEats and selected "no rush." Our order still arrived in about 30 minutes. The most amazing part? It was piping hot!!! Now, I always have my oven preheated to 450 when I have pizza delivered. In this case, I able to just turn that bad boy off (thankfully, since it's 100 degrees today)! And the taste-- it was spot on. She chose thick crust, and it was perfect. The sauce was flavorful and not sweet. Delicious cheese, and she was content with amount of black olives. We also got bread sticks, and they were good, too. This was our first time trying out Basils, but I've already decided for our next family pizza night, this is the place. read more

Love their food. Plus they are open late so when you get hungry late hours you can eat good.

Their chicken gyro sandwich was delicious with nice, tender, smoky meat and came with some of the best, garlicky, lemony and fresh Tzatziki sauce I've ever had! I had some onion rings that were barely greasy and were worth $4. They're a good option for a quick delivery meal. read more

Their food is amazing, and the place is beautiful. I used to visit this place with my friend before COVID, and I still go for takeout orders because their chicken wings and burgers are just amazing! Personnel delivering food was very rude and has no customer service. The manager at the establishment when called also has no customer service. Uber allows for 8 minutes from first contact and driver left 5 minutes after first contact, when he came back , I was greater with harsh words and treats. His behavior as well as his managers behavior was deplorable and I do not believe that their attitude is ethical or a proper display of Uber standards. I don't know if they are racist or sexist but this is not the first time that they were called out for their horrible behavior . I honestly don't know how this half ass business is still in operation, maybe because they are getting the drunk late night crew . The staff is a perfect reflex of their boss, cheap, and bitter. I wish I could rate them negative stars . read more

Ordered a pizza online. I chose this pizza business based on its timing for delivery. As soon as I finished ordering and paying for pizza, I received a confirmation text with an estimated time of delivery. 2.minutes after that I received another text appraising me that due to them being busy my time for delivery had shifted from 15-20 minutes to 20-30 minutes. I was grateful for the update and waited. The updated delivery time came and went and still no pizza. I called and got no answer. They called me back and said 5 minutes. After a total of 1 hour 10 minutes, the pizza was delivered. I said to the delivery guy that I was disappointed by how long it.took to get.my pizza. He laughed at me. Average pizza, horrible service. Moved here 4 months ago and this has been the best find. I know... even if it is bad, it is still pizza, but come on DMV.... whats with your pizza???????? Basils has been a great find. Sometimes.... a bit too much grease but hey..... on a New York style slice..... it doesn't have much crust to soak it up so suck it up and enjoy. read more

It's hard to get exactly what you ask for. The food is good, the customer service is great. I don't know if they just don't pay much attention or if they don't really care. I hardly ever get crinkle fries, though I request them every time. My sandwich had come with items I haven't asked fo almost every time. Why do I keep going back? When they get it right, it's great. The prices are reasonable and they are close to home. What else can you ask for...besides what you actually ordered. read more

Seriously, after ordering from basils like once every two weeks they definitely deserve 5 stars. The guy/owner who always answers the phone is always SO POLITE and ALWAYS gets my order right. Even though I live just a street away they usually quote me 35-45 minutes but arrive much sooner than that. My food is always piping hot and so fresh. I have never been disappointed with the service or the food from basils. I always order a steak and cheese with provolone and mayo only and usually a small cheese pizza so I can make the delivery minimum of $15. The owner even honored my yelp coupon when it said for pick up customers only. I love this place! read more

Their steak and cheese subs are amazing, and you get a lot more (and better quality) for the same amount of money you'd spend elsewhere. Their 18 inch subs are basically 2 sandwiches, so there's always more for later. I typically can't stop myself from eating 3 of the pieces, only leaving one for later. Get fries if you need help, haha. read more
