Sri Lankan style fried rice (veggie)
    Victoria S.

Great place for pizza, subs and standard comfort foods. Ordering is done at the counter and indoor seating is available. I saw they had Sri Lankan food items on their website (not on restaurant display). The person at the counter was very friendly and told me they have Sri Lankan style fried rice today in chicken. They were able to veganize it (omitting the chicken and egg). It was wok seared upon ordering and very generously portioned (easily 3 meals). The rice was fluffy, spicy, a little tart and full of different textures. The pineapple chunks contributed to the tart part, and the scallions, onions, and cabbage added to the crunch. Mushrooms were also a nice touch. Will need to try their pizza next.

    Large Pepperoni Pizza

Local restaurant with good food that deserves more attention. I ordered through their website and got a large pepperoni pizza ($12.29), 12 ct bbq wings ($16), large steak n cheese eveything sub ($15), and French fries ($3.49) which ended up totaling to 54$ [after taxes & fees]. The large pepperoni pizza was very good: the bread and the cheese were on point and delicious, I think adding more tomato sauce would've made it even better. The bbq wings were pretty good, especially the chicken that was very juicy and flavorful. The large steak n cheese eveything sub was solid and came with huge portions. The French fries were solid with good texture and crisp. Overall the food was pretty good and deserves more attention. Would come back for more and recommend to all. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES.

    Roast Beef (10.20.22)

10.20.22 I had read great reviews of this restaurant so I wanted to give it a try. I came with a colleague for lunch. I ordered a small supreme pizza. I was surprised to find out that it didn't come up with bell peppers as I thought that a common topping on supreme pizzas. It was an additional $1.40 for the bell pepper on a small pizza. My colleague ordered a large roast beef sub. A small is one foot (?) long sub whereas a large comes with two subs. The kitchen was very slow preparing our order considering they didn't have many patrons. We must have waited over fifteen minutes. My pizza was bland to me and needed tomato sauce. I am not sure I tasted any and if it was on it, I would need a magnify glass to see it as it was barely noticeable and I didn't taste it. I brought two slices home and the first thing my husband said was that there was an abundance of onions. The pizza didn't have the wow factor or stand out so it's unlikely I will come back unless someone else suggests it.

    Italian Classic Cold Cut (small)

I know that I just reviewed the place few days ago but we went back again - twice in less than a week. As good as the first time! Carry-out again. So what did we get? Wedge potatoes with cheese. It was very good but I think it would have been excellent if we ate them there. I think I will heat up the leftover in the oven/air fryer, if there are any left tomorrow. Two kinds of wings- plain and corner. So what's corner wings? They are definitely spicier than the Buffalo wings, so they said. They are definitely spicy but not unbearable. The sauce has a good flavor. For subs, we got the crispy spicy chicken sub again and also Cheesesteak Everything. Cheesesteak definitely hit the spot for me. I have been craving for them. For pizza- this time veggie pizza. Their pizza actually tastes really good cold. They also have some dishes from Sri Lanka (listed on their website) that I definitely want to try next time. I love to support locally owned restaurants. Food is great. Plenty of parking. Staff very friendly. Give them a try.

BLT Small Sub and French Fries

I've been wanting to check out this place for awhile and finally had the chance. The shop is in the same shopping center as Bruster's with ample parking and the interior was nice and spacious. It may seem silly to go somewhere to buy a BLT, but I had it since it's my favorite sandwich. I'm so glad I did, the bread, bacon, and veggie portions were perfect and it is now my second favorite BLT in Maryland. I also ordered a side of fries and the supreme pizza. The fries came out super hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Solid fries The pizza was also freshly made with their own dough. Unfortunately I didn't get the nice cheese pull on camera, but it was definitely there! The chicken on the supreme pizza stood out the most to me because it was very well seasoned.

If you love fresh homemade dough square pizza, you need to check out Corner Pizza and Subs in Gaithersburg. Located in the old Classic Bakery space behind Brewsters Ice Cream, you'll find square large pizzas that will remind you of classic local favorites like Pizza Oven, Continental Pizza, and Stained Glass Pub. The smaller 10 inch pies are round but still delicious! The ingredients were fresh to match the homemade dough. We were told the subs and rice were good too but didnt get to try them on this visit. There is plenty of free parking and probably enough tables to seat around 75 people. One of the three seating areas had enough privacy that it would be perfect for work luncheons or pizza parties. Ordering is counter style with announcements when food is ready. The staff were very friendly! We'll definitely be back and will be rooting for this new neighborhood gem!

    Slice of sausage and pepperoni

Let me start by saying the ownership here is fabulous, both owners will take their time to explain certain meals on the menu, they let you know that the Pizza dough is made in house, they are just all around very very nice. The pizza is absolutely delicious and not too pricey, that's always a great thing, I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage, and my parents ordered mushrooms and green peppers, again really really good. I also had to try the BBQ wings and they were spot on, not too much sauce, just perfect. I will be back very soon.

Italian Cold Cut (small) - took a bite, couldn't wait.

//5 stars for fresh ingredients I have nothing to complain about this place. They have variety of subs but they choose the ingredients for you unlike subway where you pick the toppings. Just let them know what not to add or add. The Italian cold cut I ordered tasted fresh and had enough flavor to not be overwhelming. I felt good after eating it. On their menu they also have pizza and fries and wings and such. It's good for lunch or anytime. Con: They do charge you credit card convenience fee (2.9%) just fyi. The place looks clean and the customer service was great. Hope it stays this way. Apparently I went there before the official ribbon cutting so I'm glad to have experienced that.

Excellent cheesesteak! There were some great customization options that I enjoyed. I got a side of rice as well that was perfectly cooked.

This was a very solid place. Good food, fair prices, kind service. Exactly what I am looking for in a pizza and sandwich takeout joint.

Felt very rich. -two cannolis hand filled to order! The filling had chocolate chips in it. The pastry shell was perfect and not too fried. We've gotten their pizza before too- def recommend! Fantastic crunch and they make their own mozzarella. We also like to get their homemade pizza dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella, ravioli, and pasta for quick weeknight dinners. I made a call in pick up order and got the chicken parm sub $11.75 and gemellis pepperoni special $24. Also, the service for ordering and picking up was quick and easy. - The chicken parm sub was solid, but the main problem was the lack of tomato sauce. - The pepperoni special was a miss for me, and that's unfortunate cause I remember it being way better last time. It's cheesy, but the lack of tomato sauce and the dough/bread being underwhelming/ weak really ruins the taste experience. Overall, it seems that Gemelli has definitely fallen off in terms of the quality & taste that I've enjoyed previously. Don't know if I'd be back, but I do know that their chicken parm and polpette subs are still worthy choices in my eyes.

Having traveled and dined across the globe, I did not expect homemade pasta, fresh espresso, and Neapolitan style pizza to be in Rockville MD. If you live within an hour drive, just take the trip and have lunch or dinner here. Try the espresso martini! I shared a cheese pizza with my daughter, my mother had the chicken piccata, my cousin the gnocchi, my father the chicken parm, my cousin had a caprese salad and the further seats I couldn't see. We all shared a few orders of the calamari. EVERYONE raved about how delicious their food was. I agree. Probably the best piccata I've tasted. The pizza was excellent. The tiramisu great. The pistachio gelato was perfect. I sure wish they were closer to Florida!! So good.

The biggest hit for me was the suppli appetizer. These are absolutely delicious and vegetarian friendly! Similar to arancini but somehow even more delicious. These are a must-order. I had the pasta alla vongole and a bite of my husband's chicken parmigiana. Our friend had mushroom ravioli that she loved, but I didn't try as I don't care for mushrooms. I've been on a clams and garlic kick lately for some reason and the vongole comes with these and bonus bacon. I would have preferred the bacon a tad crispier, but that is personal preference. I'd give this dish 4* - I would get it again but after trying some others. From the one bite the chicken parmigiana was a 5*. Their marinara is very good and the linguine in both our dishes tastes freshly made. We all split the chocolate temptation dessert and I ate more of it than I expected to, it is chocolate mousse adjacent cake with ganache frosting, very light, perfectly sweet. Often I find chocolate desserts too much after a big meal but this one wasn't heavy at all. 5* My friend ordered sangria which she thought was more like a wine cooler; too sweet for her French oenophile sensibilities and a bit lighter than a sangria usually is, but I am a pleb who loves sweet drinks and I would order it. If you are a sangria purist you might not care for it. Hubs enjoyed his old fashioned but said it needed a dash more bitters to be perfect. I was driving so enjoyed a non-dirty Shirley. Prices to me are reasonable for quality and portion size; our tab ended up high because of the appetizer, drinks and dessert but if you just had pizza or pasta with soda it would be pretty affordable. I will be back to get more suppli and try other dishes!
