It's been a very long time since I have been here. I came here because they had a BOGO promotion through the app at the time and it's only a 4 day promotion. But that gave me this urge to try it out since it's been like.... 6 years since I had Potbellies? The food is pretty much the same as before, but what I like about this place was the staff. They were friendly and helpful and patient with me. The inside gave me a nostalgic feeling from when I used to work in the office and I would frequent another Potbelly location. I am coming back tomorrow for the last day of the promotion to try their other choices. The Wreck still ended up being my favorite. read more

The wrap that I got was decent but the service was slower than I would have liked. My boyfriend really enjoyed their seasonal eggnog shake and their drink selections though. read more

Very good costumer service. I was immediately welcomed when I entered the store. Big shoutout to Sam who is a sandwich maker at this particular shop. I was worried about the food options they had and he made it very clear. He made funny jokes while making my sandwich which made my experience great. Every staff member was very friendly and made this a 10/10 visit. I highly recommend this shop. read more

I got my favorite sandwhich this morning, the Italian sub. The manager and staff were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Potbelly staff read more

I placed an order via EZ Cater for a company lunch. The delivery, the packaging - PERFECT! It was packaged in a way that made set-up so easy and smooth. The catering menu unfortunately doesn't offer a jar of hot peppers, which is a huge hit at our company. So, I had to call the store the day before delivery and place a phone order for the hot peppers to be included with the delivery. I spoke with Sam, the manager, who although during a busy time and day, was so helpful and patient with even that small order. When the delivery came, the receipt was attached to the jar of peppers so that I had it for auditing purposes! Such great customer service and execution, highly recommend! Will for sure be using their services again! read more

Very poor customer service! Never rely on anyone there to say you will get your refund. I have tried 2x to order thru their app and it even says delivery, though it never is and they ask to pick up from store (not door dash issue). I said I can not due to illness and they will not deliver or give refund back which includes a tip. Do not go to them or use them. At least, all the other shops give refunds or deliver food. Also, the app has some glitch unless they are trying to cover something up. read more

After getting our food, we tried to find a table that had been cleaned. Finding none, we cleaned it ourselves. The sub we had chosen was called the Wreck, having ham, turkey, salami, and Swiss. One slice of each meat made up the sub, and covered only 2/3rds of the bun. No one greeted us, no one smiled and the staff were occupied with their phones. All in all, a terrible lunch. read more

I never fill out surveys. I never write reviews. I'm an older lady who just enjoys going to Potbelly. And if you've ever been to the Potbelly Germantown, my son is pretty much a regular there. He has autism and he draws the pictures that the stack keeps on the walls in the back. His name is Elijah and I'm writing this review for him. He loves Potbelly so much and all the staff there are so kind to him and go out of their way to accommodate him and make him feel comfortable for someone with autism is very difficult to write this himself, but he's not very good at expressing things through digital media. But he wanted them and everyone to know how much he appreciated them. read more

Potbelly - Review - Sandwiches Near Me - Germantown, Maryland

My wife loves Potbelly and this is the closest location to our house. We have been calling ahead to order due to COVID however we do walk in visits as well. The service is fairly quick unless you're behind someone who doesn't know what they want. I won't knock them for that! Any-who, this location is convenient to Clarksburg and is usually clean inside. Parking can be a pain but you can find a spot if you're willing to walk a little further. #YelpMDburbs read more

The attitude of the guys that work here is insulting. It looks like "race" is their problem. They treat customers like trash. I am not the first one to notice, multiple bad reviews all over the place, same problem is running for years and years now. The owners are blind, can't see a solution. My family is not coming back ever! read more

went in for lunch today everyone is always friendly to me and my daughter. Terry and Alan are always a pleasure. Quick in and out with a great lunch! read more

0/10 customer service. Bald manager decided on giving us a lecture for something that wasn't our fault to our knowledge instead of simply handling the situation respectfully and professionally. Not to mention the "JP" worker had the worst attitude problem. Went to order a sandwich and got told "what else" Completely disrespectful and shouldn't have been the service i received. Looking through these reviews i am not surprised. read more

Great ambience, nice music the food has always been reliable since from when I can remember . Friendly younger staff . Always fast too

If I could leave a 0 I would, horrible service every time. We keep coming back because we like the sandwiches but this will definitely be the last time. Manager is non caring and just walked out the door while there is a full line of customers. (Big guy with the red polo shirt. The service people are even worse, but what do you expect when the manager doesn't care. I asked for avocado and the tall guy making the sandwich literally rolled his eyes in my face. He had head phones on also which he kept touching, gross! Food safety! This place is terrible, stay away! read more

Great young staff , very friendly and fun ! Good music and good food just good vibes . I love it

Homie with the beard is the man who gets you out quick!! I didn't get his name but he knows who he is!!

Food good but the service was marginal at best. Asked for sandwiches a certain way for 4 of us and half came different than requested. Special orange cream shakes didn't have any orange flavoring in them. Love potbelly but this was not a good experience read more

I had an online order. I added a note saying, NOT toasted and balsamic vinegar. My husband picked up my sandwich and my sandwich was toasted and there was no balsamic viengear. What is the point of having a notes section on the app if NO ONE follows it? I'm highly disappointed. read more

The food at this location is solid and exactly what you expect to get at a Potbelly. The customer service however is overachieving. The staff here is very chill and polite and relaxed (in a good way). They aren't rude or seemingly inconvenienced if you customize your sandwich (which sounds like it should be the norm but it's not. So much so that I almost feel a little anxious asking for the toppings (everything) I do because I've had some really bad experiences at sandwich shops. I can strongly recommend this location be sure to be kind to the staff and show your appreciation. The one negative I can list is potbelly as a whole is really sort of expensive for what it is. It doesn't have to be 5 dollar foot long type prices but They could definitely tweak that area as a franchise company. read more

My 1st time to this potbelly location... Verdict: solid 3.5 stars. Service was swift..my order was correct..the workers were professional...and the place was clean. so what the heck is my hang up?! Some of the workers seemed like they don't really want to be there. They're like high school/college kids, so I can empathize with this..but their "kindness" seemed forced..like management gave them a stern 'teacher's warning'. My food was decent, but it wasn't as tasty as my previous excursions to other locations. I always order the same thing when I go to potbelly's (definitely a creature of habit), but the food seemed a little off today. I'll try them again..when I'm really jones-ing for a chicken salad sandwich and strawberry milkshake. Overall..I recommend this location for what its worth..or else you'll have to make an unnecessary trip down 270. read more

This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Every single worker was extremely rude and not even close to welcoming. They look at you like you are stupid. They are also very slow and it took me 20 minutes to get my order. Will never go in there again. read more

I usually love the food in this place. Today I paid before my order was complete and added a tip. By the time it was done I was wishing I could take that tip back. First, when I asked for lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard the server directed me to read the sign and read it out in order. Mustard, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato. Ok, fine, if she needs it that way, I'm compliant, but her tone was remarkably impatient as well. Then when I asked for her to slice my sandwich. She said "we always do." I said that hadn't been my experience in the past. She argued with me again that they always do unless asked not to. I understand working in customer service isn't easy. Maybe she's having a crap day, but honestly arguing with a customer for simply requesting that the sandwich be sliced? Not a good look. read more

It's a shame, my girl tried over and over to order a sandwich , they failed to produce anything she asked for. Wound up leaving without a sandwich, manager stated they are short staffed, so I guess when short staffed it's easier to provide the wrong food. Shortstaffed is a management issue not a customer issue. Fix it or shut the doors. Up note, best meatball sub I ever ate. Just a shame. read more

Susan here I would like to leave an review more of an concerning review today at around 1. I came in me and my family to order food , when I first came in the place was a mess and my order was taking a while. So I thought you know it's retail no problem I then decided to go into the restroom ... as I go in first thing that hit me was a strong smell coming from the back area ! But I ignored it until about 5 minutes later when I left the restroom and I started to smell something very very strong again. Then I got concerned! the back door opened and was left cracked all of a sudden a wind of smoke come right through the door as I was slowly walking out of the restroom it smelled like pure marijuana i couldn't believe it!! It was an employee African American had beads reddish type hair . I got a good look once more when she came from the back finally !!! I gave her my toppings twice she looked so out of it I didn't trust my food I was stunned to speak , disappointed I did ask another employee for a manager and they said he was not in that day I was so concerned because people were waiting for there food as was I , and the employe was smoking , for young lady to not do her job and she was rude as if i was disrupting her . taking drugs and not doing your job I had an issue with that food bag smelled like it as well. read more

This place is DISGUSTING! Watch out folks...you just might have a cockroach crawl up your leg while your eating their subpar subs. The customer service is just as terrible as their bug problems. My family and I were trying to order our food but one of the employees felt it necessary to stock cases of chips and then get mad at US for being in HER way! The guy that checked us out got super snooty with my husband because we didn't realize we had to grab our kids waters out of their cooler. This was our first trip to this horrible excuse for a sandwich shop and it'll be our last. All three employees that were there...don't quit your day jobs! read more

We went an hour before closing. Worker just nodded at us to indicate he was ready for us to order. Person putting toppings on the sandwiches did the same. After we paid for our food we were told dining room was closed because they had already cleaned. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and when I asked if there was some the worker answered he wasn't sure. When I asked if he could get some he ignored me and went back to stacking chips. Food was just average. Usually love Potbelly but this experience was awful! read more

So first of all this is not a happy or sad review. This particular potbelly is often overwhelmed on Friday nights. 1. They literally "forgot" our soup twice. 2. The food is good not great. 3. The wait for the food was incredibly long. Overall the restaurant is clean, the staff friendly and it is a good stop for a quick dinner. I like their salads and the chili is pretty good. Servcie however, at this location isn't always that good. They lost a star for service and just weren't a five star restaurant in the first place so 3 is about right for PotBelly. read more

Great customer service and reputation inside friendly service and Well made food and good food

I really like Potbelly's. I would describe it as a Subway's older hipster cousin who drinks cold brew and eats avocado toast for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I became more familiar with it last year when I was ordering catered lunches for my company. It is one of the very few places that deliver hot sandwiches (as compared to Panera and Subway that do cater but only cold cuts). This location is located in the Neelsville Village next to Giant, on the same strip as Sweet Frog. The few times that I've been here, it's been clean and not busy at all so I'm out in no time. My go-to order is a original chicken and cheddar (toasted) with lettuce, buttermilk ranch, onions, italian seasoning, and extra hot peppers. I even ask them to give me more in a container on the side. My food is always made right and the employees are ok. Pro tip: Download the Potbelly's app through Level Up. You can earn points towards free sandwiches and discounts when you pay through the app. read more

The store hours are listed as 10am-10pm. I drove 20 minutes to grab a sub before they closed, but when I arrived the door was locked at 9:50. I called and the manager Juan answered saying they couldn't make one sandwich because he's stressed and he hung up on me. Overall if you're looking for just a regular sandwich and you're busy this is what potbelly if for but please don't try to come in here expecting good customer service. it was actually appalling how rude this one older lady was. they have a wall that says it's a promise eight minute fast check out and you're leaving happy at checkout ... Did not experience that at all. I understand some people have bad days but having manners is the bare minimum especially in the food industry. I did come in during lunch hour before but had totally diff experience read more

Poor customer service. They didn't offer a free cup of water but charged $2.69 for a bottle of water. The bread was over toasted and the meat was sparce. The vegetable soup had such large chunks of vegetables that I got choked on them. I will not return to this location. read more

The is not the proble. The Service is what the issue is with me. Each time we go I order the same sandwic, however it is not prepared the same Sometimes it's very good. Then like today just missing the mark. Little to no avocado , no mayonnaise,no pickles no cheese the backend of a tomato. So I order turkey with provolone avocardo extra mayonnaise pickles and cucumber on the side The only thing I really got was the cucumber on the side. May I suggest that the person fixing the Sandwiches have the ability to take and completely prepare a Sandwich as requested not as they seem to want to fix it. Which is what it appears to happen often. The overall ambiance of Germantown location is one of lackluster employees and No Management to ensure quality control and service. read more

I ordered my lunch online scheduled to be delivered at 11:00am I waited until 11:30am to call the store to ask the status of my order and twice, nobody answered. I had to drive to the store to get my own order. The person behind the counter was very polite about it and re made my sandwich quickly. They gave me a free bag of cookies which was nice, but I would've liked to have been reimbursed for the delivery fee and tip that I had added onto my order. $22 for a sandwich, bag of chips and bottle of water and THEN go pick it up? The food was excellent, but I will never order online at this location for delivery ever again. read more
