The service was mediocre. The cashier was chitchatting with a customer about his social media accounts and brand and exchanged Instagram handles while we waited in line to order. The one person who was preparing food walked away to fold and make boxes. Customer service is just nonexistent in so many fast casual places. The spicy Cajun chicken sandwich I ordered was really good, at least. It was $11 so a bit pricier than the value and sandwich size I got. The Gambrills, MD location is a whole FIVE dollars cheaper for the same size and same sandwich. I didn't do my research. There's no cell phone service in this part of Germantown so I couldn't use my rewards app. This location also doesn't have Wi-Fi. I had fire Side subs in South County Missouri about a year ago and I absolutely loved it. I couldn't stop talking about how great the subs were. I don't live near them so when I got the opportunity to go back to South County, I knew that's where I was going to have lunch. What a huge disappointment. They have Dalmatian style tables for their firehouse theme. +The employees were super friendly +I ordered a steak and cheese with just provolone and mayo and it was PHENOM..flavorful not salty like some places and hit the spot +They don't just wrap it in tinfoil like most places they actually put it in a box. +The cookies were soft (I always squeeze and check lol) My only tiff is the sizing of the subs themselves. The Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket which is smoked for 16+ hours brings me pure joy! It is shredded finely and melts in your mouth. The sub includes: melted cheddar, mayo, and Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce. I have never tried any other item because I can't imagine anything tasting better than it. Oh and if you join the loyalty program you get a free Medium sub on your birthday. I recently learned they will be opening a location in Rockville which will be nice since I work there. The size of the hoagie is small and price is high. Quality is so so. Got a soggy pickle. You can get a real nice sized Italian hoagie from Harris Teeter supermarket prepared for you for a little less $ abd much bigger hoagie size. So my prior experiences to Firehouse in Louisiana wasn't anywhere nearly as pleasant as my first visit to this Germantown location. Nejeeb was amazingly polite and my order was completed very quickly. I ordered a medium Hook & Ladder sub with everything including jalapeños and it was delicious. I even tried the Firehouse barbecue sauce that I didn't even know existed at all locations. It made the sub even more tasty and even tried several mid-level hot sauces. I placed my order to go but noticed the dining in area was very clean so I stayed to eat my sub. It is never expected by was very nice this location offers a military discount. Stopped here on a trip doing college basketball play by play. There were plenty of other options in the neighborhood (Chipotle, Panera, Carrabas, Taco Bell,etc) but I was persuaded to go here instead. We ordered ahead online and braved the frigid temps and subzero windchills and walked in. The subs were pretty much ready even though we arrived about 10min earlier than expected. The subs were well prepared and ready to roll. I went with the smoked turkey jump, picked a bag of chippies and poured some pop in my cup (GANG GANG). The sub was warm, well-stocked, properly fixed with fixins, and tasted great. In the future I'll go with the large, mainly because I was a 23 year fat boy (retired) and even though the medium was a perfect size, I could've fit more in my tummy. I really enjoy the location, ambienance and service at FireHouse subs! They are located in the heart of Germantown, just a little bit away from the library. Now my complaint, it is s great location but parking is a bear. Overall food is awesome! I really enjoy a hand prepared sandwich. 1. Bread is amazing! 2. Veggies are well prepared. 3. This place didnt destroy my day but did gross me out completely. I ordered the pulled pork thai chilli sub managers special. I wish i could upload the picture i took. It would explain -everything- . The pork was not so much pulled as it was completely masserated (like they put the pork through a belnder) and served as tiny strangely pink masserated (sp?) bits. It looked like vomit. No joke. It tasted like dog food or cat food or luchables. This pork paste was mixed up in the melted chese. I took one bite and threw the entire thing out. The taste was disgustingly salty. Today was the grand opening for Firehouse so I really lucked out deciding to stop by here for lunch. They gave everyone who came in a free medium sandwich of their choice and a small drink. They mentioned that people were welcome to donate to a charity that helps support fire departments if they wanted to. I absolute loved this idea. Not only because free food tastes five times better, but also because it gives people a chance to try out a new place in the area while they train their employees. Obviously the employees are going to be a little slow the first day, but now no one cares because the food is free. Also it shows that the management has faith in their product, which I like. Ok, enough about free food, (I could talk about it all day) on to the restaurant itself. Firehouse has a nice layout and pictures of local fires being fought along with fire helmets and jackets on the wall, nothing too surprising, but nice. The menu had a lot of different choices and seemed priced at about the same place as most of their competitors (Quiznos, Subway, Jersey Mikes). I had the New York Steamer, which was Beef Brisket, Pastrami, and provolone. The sandwich was cooked well and delicious. The one problem was they only did medium sized subs today and it was not enough for me, so if you are hungry I would definitely go withe the large sub. The soda selection here is great. They have two coke freestyles, so you literally have a hundred different options. Also, Firehouse has different sized straws for the different drink sizes. It is a genius idea. I think firehouse will do very well in this location. There are a lot of sub places in Germantown, but none of them are that close to this location and I think Firehouse is at least as good as all the others. Try this place out it has great subs and one of the only coke freestyles in the area. read more

One thing I love about Firehouse Subs is that if you go on your birthday and show your ID they will give you a free regular sub. It is truly one of the things I look forward to when my birthday rolls around. This year was no different. I came to this location, presented my ID and asked for my free sub. "Not a problem, and Happy Birthday" was what I heard. I like that. It's not all the time that you are wished a happy birthday when you present a birthday coupon or go to claim a birthday treat. I received my sandwich, the classic italian, and even splurged on a bag of chips and a drink. Another thing I like about Firehouse Subs is the consistency. The sandwich is always the same. We placed an order online for delivery. I ordered a steak & cheese sub with double meat and mushrooms. I paid an additional fee for this. However, when my sub arrived almost an hour later, I was presented with essentially just a wheat roll- both sides of my roll touch each other throughout and there were mere crumbs of overly dry meat sprinkled sparsely in there. It also appeared that there was only 1 mushroom sliced up and placed in the sub. They managed to do the opposite of what I ordered. I attempted to call the restaurant multiple times, but of course, their phone does not ring at all and goes to voicemail. I finally contacted customer support on here and was provided a refund after an ordeal. The support person and the restaurant seemed confused as to what I even ordered (although the customer support kept pasting my order to me but stating that the restaurant will give me the exact same thing they delivered the first time again). I would like to point out that I didn't even add any special, complex notes or requests; I just followed and clicked the prompts as I placed this order. This is not the first time this place has messed up my order, but this was the last straw. Although I work about 5 minutes away from here, I ordered for delivery because I was extremely busy at work. Unfortunately, I trashed the bread they tried to pass off as a steak & cheese sub and had to look for something else for lunch. What a waste of my time and energy! Let me tell you, I was so depressed moving to Maryland because the nearest firehouse sub was in Frederick, and I was having withdrawals so I even contemplated to drive out there just for a Hook and Ladder fully involved. Then sweet baby Jesus in the manger heard my cries and had one put near my home and all was restored again. That New York Steamer... oh man! Such a good sandwich. I put a little A1 and some BBQ sauce on it and it was amazing. My boyfriend got the corned beef and cheese and he almost didn't get a chance to enjoy it because I kept wanting to "taste" it. After getting my order wrong at this location a few times and having them do nothing to help me, this last time, the employee was extremely rude to me. Once I asked for his name so that I can speak with his manager, he refused to give it to me and hung up on me. Terrible customer service. The employees don't pay attention to the orders they receive and are consistently getting them wrong. I'm a big fan of firehouse subs, what a disappointment.
