The OG of a meatball sub.
    G Z.

Family friendly Old school vibes for a pizza place Got the games and slot tattoo stickers So much nostalgia Menu was straight forward and had great options; just honestly hard to decide Got the pizza combo that comes with two slices of cheese and a large drink for $7.99 pretty good deal All the condiments you need were put in the open to grab as much as you wanted and the utensils as well. Free refills Got the meatball 7" sub and the provolone wassssss cheeesing Curly fries were amazeballs and of course can't go wrong with curly fries. Quick service for a Saturday afternoon.

    Large pizza

This is our family's go to pizza. The slices are big, the dough, cheese and crust are so flavorful. The 2 slices with a soda deal is great and has been my husband's go to order for years. The subs and chicken parm are really good too! We took our daughter's monthly baby photos with their large pizza, which has 12 slices, perfect for a slice every month! The Kentlands location is big and has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone who works here is really nice and very fast, even on a busy Friday night!

    Terrible cheese slice
    Zach C.

I have been a few times before, usually a good experience, but today was awful. Prices have gone up, no surprise and honestly makes sense, but it seems quality has not. The two slices I received were both kinda terrible. The dough sucked, I mean DRY and actually broke apart in several places when I folded it. Either a bad batch of dough, shouldn't have served it, or old pizza, shouldn't have served it. Disappointed...

Phillyboli Steak. But where's the steak? And WAY too much cheese.
    Steve T.

I've eaten here many times over the past seven years and I'm usually pretty satisfied. The pizza is probably a 3/5 stars and the cheesesteaks are 4/5 stars. However, today I ordered a Philly Boli (basically a Philly cheese steak calzone) and was very disappointed. The portion was huge, but there were several problems: - The crust was not cooked through; it was crispy on the outside but very doughy on the interior. - the inside was about 90% cheese (and way, way too much of it) and only about 10% steak. I had to go searching through mounds and mounds of cheese to find even a tiny bit of steak. - there was supposed to be pizza sauce in the interior of the calzone, but there wasn't any. Instead, a small amount of red sauce was served on the side in a little cup. That's not what the menu described, and the small cup of sauce that comes with the calzone was way too little given the huge size of the calzone. - calzone had very little flavor; was very bland. - The menu says that it has cheese inside, so I was expecting mozzarella or Parmesan. It came with mozzarella and ricotta. The ricotta was cold, had no flavor, and didn't add to the dish at all. - in fact, the entire the interior of the boli was cold: the steak (what little of it there was) was cold, the onions were cold and raw, and the cheese was cold. The calzone had not been cooked through properly. This is a problem, because the crust exterior was plenty brown, so they couldn't have kept it in the oven any longer. Suggestion: eliminate the ricotta, cut the mozzarella by about 70%, and quadruple the steak. (I've had lots of these in Philly and that should get the proportions about right). Cut the volume of ingredients inside by about half, and reduce the price by half. Also, pre-warm or pre-cook the steak and onions so that they're warm when served. There is too much stuffed into the interior of the calzone for the ingredients to cook properly. Finally: it's impossible to eat this with the plastic forks and knives that Giuseppes provides in the dining room. It would be nice if they served a dish like this with real cutlery. I broke three plastic forks trying to eat it. For $14, this was a complete disappointment. 4 stars for their cheesesteaks, 3 for their pizza, and 1 star for their bolis, for a total of two stars.

    Picture of "pepperoni pizza"

Giuseppi's was a place I used to ALWAYS get traveling between DC and West Virginia. In July, they had a great manager, condiments on top. Since then , the food has dropped in quality and now the new management is putting under the cheese. I called and the manager berated me for requesting the pepperoni on top of the cheese! I kid you not, he said "we have always served the meat under the cheese and if YOU require it on top, you must tell us". After always ordering a pepperoni pizza and NEVER requesting any type of way. The pizza has CONSISTENTLY been under cooked and doughy. The last visit, I came in, they must've had an order of 20 before I came, but this managers son who was 10-12 came to try and check us out, before his dad tried to get him to calm down after almost dropping the pizza box 3 times. The ambiance is weird. The manager left the working area and sat down with a woman and 4 kids. The floors sticky. Garlic powder is old, tables and chairs are oily. The tables wobble. I'd expect this from a fairly rundown restaurant, not Giuseppi's. It's a sad spiral that I sadly won't see to the end. I would've otherwise ALWAYS recommend Giuseppi's. Never again will I. Nor will I try it after being told I'm crazy for requesting it a way that's always been served to me. This new management is abysmal and hilariously sad. *edit* my best meals were in august and past. I took my father down a 1.5 hour drive in October to have Giuseppe's and it was horrible. To help with timeline is all. It has consistently been horrible since and I refuse to try it a third time

Spinach, Mushrooms, Black Olives, Green Peppers and Onions.
    Natasha S.

When I'm craving greasy and cheesy delivery style pizza - Giuseppi's is it! I always order red onion, spinach, olives, mushrooms, green peppers and sometimes artichokes with extra cheese. The sauce is perfect, not too sweet. And it's always cooked to perfection, never under or overcooked. Prices are a little higher than competitors but it is well worth it. Delivery is always quick and easy!

Eggplant parm sub with curly fries
    Mariana C.

Frequented both the Rockville location (back before the Rockville Town Square existed and it was between a pottery place and Magruders grocery store, then it moved across the street next to the movie theater haha) and this location since I was a kid. Consistent favorites: eggplant parm sub, steak and cheese, tuna bulkie, and of course, cheese pizza. What makes it for me is the flavor of the cheese on the pizza- it definitely tastes like a good combination of mozzarella and like an aged provolone. Also, my family orders extra cheese on everything, but this is the only place the default amount of cheese is acceptable to all concerned haha Honestly, it's always reliable and always has been; the only downside is that the curly fries have always been reliably kinda weak haha but that's not a large con for me because I usually fill up on other carbs and can get fries with other kinds of meals haha Not huge inside, but this isn't too much of a problem, fair amount of parking, bonus at this location it's free parking! (Rockville location is tricky with all the development changes over there.) Can call ahead to order for carry out easily.

We arrived early evening still hot/sunny outside. We were asked upon entering if we had a reservation? We replied no didn't know you took reservations. We were then seated. The vibe inside looking around felt classy, cool & comfortable. The menu is quite extensive offering appetizers, entree salads, pastas, risottos & pizza. Our server explains w/confident enthusiasm pizza dough & pastas made fresh daily. We ordered roasted brussels sprouts w/bacon. Smoky crispy brussels sprouts, tender savory bacon. My friend ordered the Napoli Margarita Pizza-fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese & basil (top) in photo. I ordered Sausage Pizza-Roman-sausage, marinated red peppers mozzarella, and asiago cheese. Roman-is square shaped crust-think focaccia bread. Tender buttery flavor w/crispy edge, rich tasty sausage & tangy red peppers & creamy cheese. Delicious meal fresh ingredients. I ordered the Abe Berry Spritzer (elderberry aperol, prosecco) light refreshing fruity flavor. Complemented the richly flavored pizza. We both enjoyed our meal. Our attentive provided great customer service. As we left, looking around-the not so large restaurant had filled up w/people enjoying themselves. Yes worth another visit. See photos.

Having traveled and dined across the globe, I did not expect homemade pasta, fresh espresso, and Neapolitan style pizza to be in Rockville MD. The biggest hit for me was the suppli appetizer. These are absolutely delicious and vegetarian friendly! Similar to arancini but somehow even more delicious. These are a must-order. I had the pasta alla vongole and a bite of my husband's chicken parmigiana. Our friend had mushroom ravioli that she loved, but I didn't try as I don't care for mushrooms. I've been on a clams and garlic kick lately for some reason and the vongole comes with these and bonus bacon. I would have preferred the bacon a tad crispier, but that is personal preference. I'd give this dish 4* - I would get it again but after trying some others. From the one bite the chicken parmigiana was a 5*. Their marinara is very good and the linguine in both our dishes tastes freshly made. We all split the chocolate temptation dessert and I ate more of it than I expected to, it is chocolate mousse adjacent cake with ganache frosting, very light, perfectly sweet. Often I find chocolate desserts too much after a big meal but this one wasn't heavy at all. 5* My friend ordered sangria which she thought was more like a wine cooler; too sweet for her French oenophile sensibilities and a bit lighter than a sangria usually is, but I am a pleb who loves sweet drinks and I would order it. If you are a sangria purist you might not care for it. Hubs enjoyed his old fashioned but said it needed a dash more bitters to be perfect. I was driving so enjoyed a non-dirty Shirley. Prices to me are reasonable for quality and portion size; our tab ended up high because of the appetizer, drinks and dessert but if you just had pizza or pasta with soda it would be pretty affordable. I will be back to get more suppli and try other dishes!
