First, our waiter went to the kitchen to check on modifications, then a second waiter kindly came over to explain the traditional preparation, and finally, the chef himself came out to help! He explained that a huarache is open-faced, not a burrito, but immediately offered a perfect solution: he could custom-make their breakfast burrito using pinto beans as the protein for me instead. When the chef brought it out, it was HUGE. He took the time to explain exactly how he made it and told me to just ask for him or request the modification next time. Not only was the service incredibly attentive, but the burrito was easily the best I've ever had. It's 9 hours later and I am still full from eating just half of it! The food is amazing, the restaurant is clean, and it's clear this team truly cares about their customers. We will definitely be back!

I want to share my deeply troubling experience at Pizza Ranch to warn potential employees and customers about the serious issues I faced. During my time working there, I encountered severe harassment from management, particularly Eddie Broomfield and Stacy Kinne. Eddie is a bully who frequently made derogatory remarks, including calling me "radio," and threatened me directly. Stacy shouted at me over minor mistakes, creating a hostile work environment. Eddie also sabotaged afternoon shifts by claiming that workers weren't doing their jobs correctly. When I reported this behavior to HR, represented by Stephenie, my complaints were ignored. Instead of addressing the issues, HR allowed the toxic environment to persist. After I continued to speak up about the mistreatment, I was wrongfully terminated by Angela, the owner, without any explanation. Benjamin, Austin's roommate and Eddie, falsely claimed I threatened Eddie, and despite Eddie denying ever say am I Scared of him and him instructing me to clock out, I faced retaliation for reporting the attacks of intimidation and harassment. In a meeting with Angela, Eddie, and Austin, when I asked Eddie if he remembered saying that I was scared of him, he claimed he couldn't remember. This was a clear example of the DARVO method--Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender--along with their triangulation tactics to undermine my credibility. Eddie had me redo all my work after I had no issues in the past nine months of being there. Despite my dedication, I was met with disrespect and a lack of recognition. Throughout my time there, I trained Eddie, Jay, Roni, Ben, and many others without holding a managerial position. Austin kept promising to make me a manager, telling me each month that "next month" would be my promotion. This was a clear case of breadcrumbing; they were using me to improve service ratings on Google without rewarding me or the team. We were even promised an all-expenses-paid trip to Malibu Jacks for winning a competition, but that promise went unfulfilled. Austin's hiring practices are concerning; he seems to prioritize hiring his roommates over qualified applicants, raising serious questions about favoritism. I also witnessed inappropriate behavior between Eddie and Angela, the new owner of Pizza Ranch, whom Austin refers to as a "scary woman." This dynamic undermines professionalism within the team. Despite my substantial contributions to improving customer service--evidenced by the store's rating increase from 3.2 to 4.2--my efforts were consistently overlooked. HR ignored all complaints regarding management's behavior, leading to a culture where employees felt unheard and unsupported. This frustration culminated in a group of employees creating a video to expose these issues, which was subsequently silenced and taken down. If you're considering working here or dining at Pizza Ranch, I urge you to think carefully. The lack of respect for both employees and customers is alarming, and the environment is not conducive to a positive experience. read more

I used to eat at Pizza Ranch in Springfield, IL at least twice a week, but not any more. If they see that you are a 'big eater' they will start targeting you with bad customer service, and bark at you in a negative tone to try to drive you away, since it is against the law to bar someone from a buffet for eating too much food. Over time, you can see this is being don deliberately, but you are never really sure why they started treating you this way. What a horribly way to single out people to run them away from the store. Imaging why they are doing this to you, then you finally figure it out. They will deny this, but insist this true, and exactly what happened to me. Don't get established as a 'big eater' and you might be O.K. I personally found my experience with them to be horrifying . Watch out for busboy James if you eat too much, because he will take uneaten food from you table if get up to use the bathroom, while leaving dirty plates on this. Tell Leticia the salad bar is out of tomatoes, or James the toilet is clogged, and the will get will reply to you in a nasty tone. Later, another customer pointed out the feces on the floor of the men's bathroom where the toilet have overflowed. DO NOT EVER PUT YOUR SOIILED NAPKINS IN YOUR EMPTY DRINKING CLASSES TO HELP SORT ORGANIZE THE DISHES FOR THE BUSBOY TO PICK UP !!! James slammed my glass on the table in front of me when I did this in an effort to be helpful. If you are not a 'big eater' and have been targeted for removal via deliberate, targeted, customer abuse, they might let you get away with it. I want to share my experience at Pizza Ranch to warn other young people considering working there. As a 17-year-old, I faced severe harassment from management, especially from Eddie Broomfield. He was aggressive, often interrupting my tasks and creating a stressful environment. Eddie has Angela in his back pocket, so no matter what he does, she always supports him. This makes it impossible to address his bullying. I've heard serious rumors about Eddie using cocaine--the white stuff--outside of work, and it's hard not to wonder if Angela is involved as well. Only a blood test would prove if he doesn't have a drug problem. His behavior made me scared to tell my parents about what was happening. I've also seen how they silence and fire workers who speak up about mistreatment by him. After all the stress, I decided to leave for another job. If you're considering working here, I strongly urge you to think twice. Eddie's behavior is dangerous, and the lack of respect for employees is alarming. read more
