The only thing that perplexed me during this exchange: I was never asked for my name or phone number. Wouldn't they be worried about customers ordering and never coming to pickup their food? (Or perhaps they are just that confident in the human race). We were a little early, so we sat in the establishment for a few minutes to wait. The vibe made me think of a place that was a "cut above" other standard pizza-to-go places. There were a few comfortable tables and chairs; by my estimation, ten could have sat comfortably and ate there, aided by the warm paint colours and comfortable decor. There were a steady line of people coming in to pick up their orders. It is not hard to see why my boyfriend's family have become fast fans of Uptown Pizza. The crust is generously thick and fluffy, there is a wide selection of pizzas (the menu list boggles mind) and a generous helping of toppings for every single pizza we have ordered so far. This is a refreshing thing to see when compared to our orders from other pizza establishments in the recent past. If you have an Uptown pizza location near where you are, I would highly recommend this to be your go-to location when you want a quick pizza fix.

They also have vegan chicken and vegan sausage, and you can substitute the vegan ingredients for any of the regular ingredients at no charge, so lots of vegan options here. Vegan happiness aside, it's just good pizza. The crust is pillowy and soft but sturdy. 2/3 visits it's been perfect, one time it was a little more well-done and lost some of that softness but was still good, I just prefer my pizza crust on the softer side. They fit lots of toppings onto the relatively small surface area. I really like the combo they offer where you can combine a small 6" pizza with soup or salad. The small pizza with a side is the perfect size and the combo lets you try different things in one meal which I'm always a fan of. Their salads are fresh and the tomato bisque soup is good - a little plain as served, but add some black pepper and red pepper flakes and it's a nice creamy tomato soup. The online menu only shows the "monster" shakes but they also have regular milkshakes in a few flavours. The Oreo milkshake was a classic old-fashioned thick shake with lots of Oreo pieces and chocolate syrup. I got it to scratch an itch since I haven't had a milkshake in a while and I found it was too sweet for me to comfortably get through the whole thing, but obviously it is a milkshake, so if you know what you are getting into, you will probably enjoy it. The staff is mostly friendly. After you order and pay at the counter they'll bring the food to your table and clean up for you. The first one, who made my pizza, was extremely friendly. The other one, who looked like she had higher seniority, was not. She rudely spoke to the other girl. Several times, this woman used her bare hands to handle my food. First was when she was making the pasta. She inserted her fingers into the pasta cooking on the pan to what I assume was to check the temperature. With her bare fingers. The next time, she tore the cooked bread that comes with the salad with her bare hands. She noticed that I saw, and immediately put on gloves. I was beyond shocked and disgusted.
