Backyard Feast for 4. Please ignore the sushi
    Naomi T.

We got the backyard feast for takeout and it feeds 4 people for $100. It came with ribs, pulled pork, roast chicken, beef brisket, large fries, 4 sides (beans, coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni salad) and cornbread. The pulled pork was dry but everything else was pretty good. The BBQ sauce is delicious and the cornbread was good after we warmed it up. Macaroni salad was a bit bland but the other sides were good. Might've been a better experience if we didn't get takeout. Will need to try dining in sometime!

Tiny little space but certainly a moody atmosphere and great food. We walked on and new instantly thats what we wanted for dinner it smelled so good, definitely worth the wait for a table. 3 of us got the combo plates with ribs. 2 of our ribs were amazing and 1 order unfortunately were not so great end pieces. Food came out super quick, the fries were excellent. Cole slaw... not so much. Our waitress was really friendly. We asked for butter for our cornbread and she brought out the individual serving packets in a dish of warm water so we'd be able to spread it easily. Great meal on a cold Vancouver evening.

    BBQ Chicken dinner

The hubs and I ordered the BBQ chicken dinner for take out. The chicken came in 4 pieces (breasts, 2 drumsticks) and was very moist. The BBQ sauce was good, but not exceptionally good. The sides were decent. Overall, decent experience.

I didn't get to try their Burgers and yes, that seems weird when eating at a place called Burgers Etc BBQ House. I guess I decided to go with the Etc BBQ. The husband and I shared the smoked chicken platter. It was good, but I wouldn't say the most amazing BBQ in the city. The chicken was moist and it came with fries and an additional side, which was macaroni salad for us. My favorite part was probably the fries. Crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. This place also only accepts cash so it was hard to get my beer on. *Edit, I guess it takes Debit too, but I want my points. =P

A great alternative to Memphis Blues, Parking is plentiful along Hastings, as well as the side streets. The inside is definitely hipster-like, with maroon instruments attached to the walls, and beaten up wooden furniture. Staff are friendly. As with most other BBQ places, the food is definitely a few bucks more. My friend and I went all out with the BBQ sampler ($46). 6 types of meat, with fries and 2 sides. Ribs, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket, wings/drumsticks on a skewer, and sausages. For the sides we had coleslaw and mac & cheese. Everything hit the spot. One thing I particularly like is that they went somewhat easier on the salt. Really wish more restaurants would follow this trend. We left stuffed. This thing delivers. I'll be back at some point to try the burgers. Recommended.

I wish I got to try this place sooner and my experience at Burgers Etc blew me away. BBQ ribs were the main reason that I went and luckily there was today's special to meet my BBQ craving. Today's special consists of 2 meats (ribs, pulled pork, BBQ chicken and sausage) with fries and salad for $14.99. Price was definetely reasonable and the portion was big. Food came out fresh. Meats were tender and delicious. Fries and salad were also delicious. Server was helpful when I asked for more BBQ sauce. I've ordered lemonade along with my food and both lemonade and iced tea are bottomless. I'll definitely return here next time.

Pure deliciousness! We ordered a platter and chose ribs and pulled pork. The portion wasn't big i would say but the quality was amazing! Cornbread was soft and flavorful, a little sweet. Meats are tender not hard not dry at all. I also loved the smoky flavor from the beans. Amazing experience

The serving were really big and it was a good place to eat out with a friend and just have nice a conversations.

Beef Burger w/ cheddar & mushrooms plus a side if fries.

For burger joints, this is one of the better ones in the N.Burnaby/ E.Vancouver corridor. You get what you pay for, succulent, juicy beefy goodness. Standard fare comes your usual choice of sides (potato salad, French fries, macaroni salad, coleslaw, etc). Definitely not for daily dining but good when you get the carnivorous appetite. BBQ sauce is nice & tangy but nothing on the menu has that deep south spice kick which I tend to look for. They do serve alcohol which is a definite plus when eating meats. I would recommend this place for its burgers. Plus service is top notch.

We also got prime grade beef short ribs, marinated short ribs, and brisket point. I would say this can easily be shared by 4 people because it's a lot of food! We ate all the meat but had a lot of the soup and rice left. It was $140 for all of that which when split is pretty good! My favourite was their brisket point. Their soup was also veryyy comforting!! My other two friends got their glass noodles and Korean pancakes. The glass noodles were delicious!! Very flavourful. The pancakes I thought were a little too oily. I would definitely come back! The service was fast but I thought it was very strange that they wouldn't provide more than 2 takeout boxes for a table of 5.

The second time there were clams and lamb neck? The things that were the same: tomato egg, dumplings, steamed baos, chineze fried donut, and cold dishes like bean sprouts, smashed cucumbers, tea egg, tofu dessert. They also have hot soy milk for drinks. Their deep fried chinese donut has got to be the best I've ever had in my life. With the price of a pair of fried donut being over $6 these days, I get my fix here. Other things are standard, good but not outstanding. I really like having soy milk to drink instead of water. $18.88 is getting a little steep for a limited choice buffet with not too many meat choices. The crab/clam are a nice addition but if there are days without it, it wouldn't be worth. I would rate the food from this place higher than the similar chinese lunch box style place in richmond, K squared mansion.

The sauce covered up how shredded up and fatty the pork slices were if you really looked. The flavors were just not there. The side dishes were also pretty bland for me and didn't have my usual favorites - it included shredded carrots, a mushroom-like dish, and kimchi that was not memorable. They offer some other items like Sooda Boxes and hot plates with melted cheese, etc that looks photo-worthy and probably would appeal to larger groups to share. Maybe those taste better.

If there's one area for improvement, it would be the food temperature. Nothing came out piping hot, which left me wondering if the dishes had been sitting out for a bit -- or perhaps the restaurant just doesn't see as much volume during off-peak hours. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but hotter plates would elevate the experience.
