On a quite weekday we entered to eat. My friend who is freak about brands got me here as its celebrity owned franchise business. I was reluctant coz I personally dont like to have pizza for dinner To my surprise , they have gluten free base Omg n such a nice and healthy collection of toppings including the cheese of ur choice. The best part is everything is made from scratch right there in front of ur eyes. It was interesting to watch them prepare the base , adding the cheese n vegetables or and fire grilled it. Drinks are light sweet as they want to cut down on calories. Vegetarian choices are plenty so the pizzas turned out to be so so good that i ate whole of it. No way i could resist finishing it. By the time we finished our food there was a big line up of people n some to pick up their deliveries. The pricing is a bit expensive, specially if you want more toppings so I save going here for a date night or special occasion but definitely a fun thing to try. Blaze Pizza has been a spot that I have been wanting to go to ever since their first location popped up. It was one of those places that I always walked by thinking "Oh, I'll go there some time" but then years go by and it never happens. Grayson and I finally stopped by Blaze Pizza couple weeks ago to grab a pie. You are greeted with a large seating area when you first walking into the restaurant. It has a casual feel where you order up front and then have a choice of taking your pizza to go or choosing a table to sit at. We were there on a quiet day so most of the seats were available but we chose to take our pizza to go and enjoy the sunshine. When you order, you can choose from one of their signature pizza styles or you can choose to build your own. We decided to get the 11″ build our own pizza so we could choose our own toppings. After you order your pizza, you walk along the food prep area to choose your toppings. We got our 11″ pizza with their signature crust, red sauce, mozzarella cheese, applewood bacon, chicken, every veggie they had and pesto drizzle. We loved how our pizza turned out. The crust was thin and crispy as we predicted and the toppings on top was of abundance! I mean, I wouldn't know how you could possibly top it with anything else! There were lots of veggies on our pizza which was great but we hardly noticed any bacon and chicken on there. a good friend of mine who is obsesses with Lebron james, told me that Blaze pizza ( wherein Lebron is part-owner) will be opening several branches in BC. sure enough, first one opened in south surrey. promptly made plans with my friend to go and try it out. i didnt get my hopes up, as ive pretty much tried every good pizza in vancouver! plus, lebron isnt a chef or anything, so didnt wanna expect much. the concept is quite simple, either you build your own or you order from their set flavour menus. and, everything, including the dough is made fresh! all the toppings are not frozen. they are laid out in cooler bins like subway. like an assembly line, you pick the what kind of dough/crust you want ex: thin, thick, etc.. toppings, then the pizza is roasted in a pseudo stone oven right before your eyes...to the right of the counter is a plethora of drink options including several agua fresca flavours. all refillable! we got 1 build your own meat lovers pizza and another meat lovers from the menu. So this is like a subway except for instead of building a sub you build a pizza. There are tons of toppings to choose from (both meat and veggies) and even different types of cheese (including vegan) Being my first time here I went a little crazy with the toppings because I wanted to try most of them. When my pizza got to the end of the line I was a bit worried as it was piled high and I thought it would come out soggy. However, they threw it into the fire oven for 5 minutes and it came out crispy and delicious! You have an option to add some finishing sauces after your pizza comes out. We found out about this place through a post on Facebook; from what the staff has shared, this is the first ever Blaze Pizza location in British Columbia. For opening day, they gave out a free pizza to every customer -- yes, an ENTIRE pizza, for FREE! Usually, with events where something free is given away, the customer service and speed gets impacted, but surprisingly, this was not the case at all. This restaurant is located in Morgan Crossing, so there is ample parking here. There is plenty of seating on the inside, with over ten booths and a couple of high tables. It's pretty awesome, you get to follow your own pizza as it's being created, and the staff here is phenomenal. They've got signature pizzas and build your owns, with tons of different toppings and sauces. Pizzas are fast fire'd in the over for 180 seconds. Plus, finishes that can be added on afterwards! We ordered vegan pizzas and they were both delicious. All in all, a great experience. I would definitely come back here with friends. Just ordered two pizzas today thru skip the dish app. My pizza was covered in the balsamic glaze. So the whole pizza was soggy. It is only supposed to be a drizzle. Also, I asked for goat cheese. I love good pizza, and I am picky. So of course I wanted to try out Blaze. It strikes me these guys are wanting to be the Subway of pizza. It is the same order line, wide range of toppings, young staff, big emphasis on quick and clean and friendly. And if you like good frozen pizza or the usual quick and cheap take out pizza, this might be your place. But it would be a huge exaggeration to compare the pizza here to any good artisan pizza place. The Blaze crust comes pre-formed, does not rise, and does not get those nice bubbles and char spots. The toppings are put on by teenagers who do not know a lot about pizza. For example in my margarita, (cheese, sauce and basil) the sauce was not even, the cheese was shredded normal mozzarella not fresh soft mozzi or bocconcini, the basil was put on before firing (so it got burnt), and the pizza was cooked to a place of being a bit crispy, to a point where the mozzi starts to change flavor. read more

My spouse and I go here regularly for take out. They have excellent pizza made right in front of you, and if you get the "Build Your Own" pizza, you can have exactly as much, or as little as you want, of all your favourite toppings. And they have an excellent selection of toppings, with a variety of cheeses - not just the usual toppings that you get at other franchises. We also appreciate that they offer a gluten free crust as my spouse has a gluten sensitivity. My only complaint is that the large pizza oven accumulates charred pizza crust crumbs which can get stuck on your pizza when it's cooking. I try to remove as much of it as I can, as it definitely detracts from the overall taste and texture of the pizza. The pizza is definitely 5 stars when the pizza ovens have been recently cleaned and there's no char crumbs on the bottom of the pizza. read more

It's cheap and fast pizza. I guess they try to make it seem cool by having their pizza artist make your pizza in front of you before they through it into their oven. You have the option of a whole pizza to yourself or half of a pizza. The pizzas are small-medium sized. I was not feeling the thin crust option. I suggest upgrading to thicker dough if you want to be full after your meal. I would say that this is more-so a large snack. Last time the woman who helped us was very rude...I almost left, but the girls there kept apologizing and were very nice so we ordered and waited! This is a pretty good pizza place, but not really the best eat-in pizza place. The lineups are usually long, the kids are screwing around, and the music is always too loud. I usually get it to go from here. This isn't a fault on the restaurant but I one time saw a family change their kid's diaper right below the window. Which I get it, you gotta do what you gotta do, but I just really never felt like staying there again. If I could describe how it feels to eat in there, I would sum it up as a mall's kids play section directly next to a food court. Also; parents with kids who are picky eaters? Surprisingly, this isn't the best place to take your kid. I have ordered from here on three occasions, trying a total of different 8 pizzas. I recommend Blaze if you enjoy thin-crust pizza with fresh ingredients. The thin dough allows you to enjoy each ingredient without getting too full from eating the bread part of your pizza. I feel that pricing is very reasonable and affordable. *VEGAN* There is Daiya cheese available, so you can customize a vegan pizza. The pizzas have only one size, but you can get gluten-free dough or their thicker one (+$2 for either). I tried the gluten-free and did not notice a difference in taste; I strongly recommend getting the high-rise thicker dough if you are building your own pizza and want to put lots of ingredients. The high-rise is still thin in comparison to most other pizza franchises, but I feel it holds the ingredients a lot better (especially if you are getting extra everything!). Before I go through the menu, I would suggest adding at least one extra ingredient because the stock pizza is a bit bare. The staff will ask you if there is enough sauce and cheese, and I have always asked for a bit extra because the amount served is noticeably less than I would use if I were making my own personal pizza at home. I tried the Meat Lover - one of my favorite featured pizzas. If you want more protein, I suggest adding bacon. The Link In is good, however, pay attention to how much protein is used because you may want more added. Of all the featured pizzas I've had, the BBQ Chicken is the only one that did not seem bare - I think it may be due to the banana peppers adding sufficient spice. I would strongly recommend you add extra everything to the White top - the bacon is crumbled really well, so I found this pizza to be the most lacking in ingredients. After trying their featured pizzas, I've come to prefer building my own custom creation. Their spicy red sauce has a very slight kick to it, however, you may find it hot enough to need a drink if you are not used to spiciness (for reference, I use A LOT of chili flakes on my pizza to add heat). There are also sriracha and tabasco sauces available in-store (and shakers for Parmesan, oregano, and chili flakes). They have a number of cheese options, my favorite being a combination of ovalini mozzarella, goat cheese, and feta cheese. For protein, they have bacon, pepperoni, Italian sausage, Italian meatballs, and chicken. While I have not found my favorite mixture yet, I like their pepperoni and bacon the most. There are many veggies options, and you can even get salads put on top of a baked pizza! Currently, my go-to build-your-own is high-rise crust, spicy red sauce, the cheese combo mentioned above, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, and kalamata olives. I get a pinch of sea salt and oregano, then top it off with olive oil drizzle when it comes out of the oven (which takes ~3mins)! The ingredients taste fresh, the vegetables are crisp, and the cheese is barely oily. Everything feels clean and the staff makes sure that your pizza is not burnt - the first time I went they offered to make me a new one cuz a small corner was blackened (the pizza is so thin that is makes a significant difference, but I didn't mind). They have cookies and brownies that are decent. I really like their lemonade, however, it is quite sweet of you are sensitive to that. There are no TV's here if you were planning to watch a basketball game in-house. I first tried Blaze on day 2 of opening, and I could tell that they were trying to recreate the customer-interaction experience you can expect from places like Starbucks and Chipotle. Some staff are stronger at socializing than others, and I noticed an off-duty manager prompt a staff member to talk to me more, even though it was my second time coming back into the line to get another pizza (to take home for my family). Sometimes it can come across as forced, which is my other negative for the business. I know the staff are trained to measure out ingredient portions (I saw them practicing on a scale), but I still think the portioning is quite low. I've had no problems asking for extra, so that helps balance things. Speed of service is great, however, if you come during an off-peak day and there is a rush it may take a few minutes to get your order started (I witnessed this when there were only 3 workers in the front, one doing all the toppings/preparation; I had already been served and 3 different customers had come in at the same time). I love this pizza!!! Nice thin crust, not crispy, just perfect. Delicious tomato sauce then you choose the toppings while they build your pizza to your satisfaction. In the fire oven it goes and in less than 3-4 minutes, you have your pizza. And...the price is very economical, my bf and I share a pizza for just over $12.00. Came here because I was given a coupon for a free pizza. But was blown away by the creativeness these guys had for an idea of a pizza place. I've seen this chain in California but haven't tried it until now. I love how you can add the extra toppings on the signature pizzas. Keep this in mind as I was overwhelmed by the different types of ingredients they offered as extras with no extra charge. We've been to Blaze pizza in Grandview Corners 3 times now and have been more and more impressed with each visit. We've been fortunate to have gone when Kayla has been working. It's truly an honour to watch her work!! She has the most amazing spirit ever and works SO hard. I've never seen someone move so quick and efficiently!
