We have been coming here for over 25 years when we visit Pittsburgh. The inside has changed quite a bit but the smell of the pizza has stayed the same. The crust is absolutely amazing, 5 stars. Got the meatzza pizza which is like their version of a meat lovers pizza. Delicious!! They also gave a free fountain drink with it as post of a promotion with a local convention. Plenty of seating and charming decor -- there's a lot of stickers on the walls. They also recycle all their pizza boxes so be sure to put your box in the correct area when you're done. Stopped into this hole in the wall pizza joint for a quick lunch. It was a nice little setting that had its own bar, something that I was not expecting given the size, but it worked. I ordered the traditional gyro which I enjoyed. A small touch that I appreciated was that they put the tzatziki sauce on the side, which I appreciated because it avoids and unnecessary mess as you can proportion the sauce to your preference. I view that as a sign of good service. I give this place a respectable four stars and I look forward to visiting again. read more

On my birthday, we wanted a place to stop for pizza after Phipps. My teenage son said that Pizza Parma is the place that they stop that is very welcoming to the teens when they ride. That means a lot to me as a parent that a business is welcoming to teens, esp one downtown as we live in the outer suburbs, so my kiddo drives into the city to ride. So... tonight we stopped... and it was everything my kiddo said it was. The food was good, the beer was fairly priced, but the service was what made the evening snack wonderful. April was friendly and efficient. I can see why my son likes the friendly, inviting staff/atmosphere. We will def be back on family trips to downtahn. . We were staying at the Sheridan Station Square after a wedding. My wife and I decided we were still hungry, so she picked a pizza place. As a Pittsburgh native, it's been a while since I had pizza from here. The wife got on line and ordered, so there was no further discussion. Not a fan. The crust seems pretty made, sauce not good and pizza was not crispy. Not good at all. I support local businesses but this will not be one of them. Can't belive 3.5 stars. This place wasn't too bad. We didn't have pizza but had a chicken Greek salad which did not disappoint. It had a lot of veggies and the chicken was ample. It was better that of any chicken Greek salad I've ever had. We also ordered a personal calzone. The calzone was very well flavored. It had some tomato sauce in With cheese and ricotta stuffing. Monday was Bogo night, bought two mediums , received two free. Ordered all hawaiin pizzas, pineapple and ham. Sauce was tasty, really good, foundation was perfect, cooked perfectly, toppings were really skimpy, could hardly find the pineapple or the ham, they really skimped on the toppings. I would go back for the excellent crust and sauce and tasty cheese but i would request that they be more generous at 6 dollars per each of four pies, on the toppings. read more

Well well well. Its been a long time since one of these has been written, but when chives is called to write a review, he answers with gusto and glee. Pizza parma has deeply offended chives in ways that would make the mother mary weep and moan. On the eve of sunday, the 21st, hunger strikes, and strikes hard. Feeling adventurous, chives decided to order an italian wrap from said establishment. Upon opening the box, his 5 senses were flabbergasted by an overwhelming amount of grease. Upon biting this particular wrap, this grease was accompanied by salt and meat. While chives is no stranger to a bit of greasy, salty meat in his mouth, this experience was more sour than sweet. Per usual, he devoured the entire thing anyway, and proceeded to be in pain. Physically, emotionally and spiritually broken, chives deems this place... unworthy. read more

Overall: Really tasty pizza and probably the best take out wings we've eaten. Arrived warm and on time. Manager of the restaurant went out of his way to make sure our order was corrected when he could have let it go. I really appreciate that - especially at 1:30 in the morning. Highest recommendation possible!!!!! The story: It was past midnight on the first night of our weekend in Pittsburgh, and we needed pizza. The front desk suggested Parma. We ordered the Arugula Heaven pizza and 12 buffalo wings. The food arrived in 45 minutes and was hot and fresh. The only downside was that they forgot the arugula on the Arugula Heaven pizza. While we ate the wings, I called Parma and let them know about the arugula. They put me on hold for the manager, and I held for about 5 or 10 minutes and figured they were just brushing me off. We ate a piece of the pizza and it was heaven even without the arugula. The sauteed mushrooms were perfect. About then the manager from pizza place called and apologized for the delay. He offered to bring the arugula over personally and 10 minutes later he was in the lobby with the arugula and some bonus Cannoli for the hassle!! The Good:. The wings were perfectly cooked and the buffalo sauce was spicy and buttery - perfect midnight food. Nothing soggy or overcooked. The pizza was very good. Thin crusted with a nice white sauce and beautiful sauteed mushrooms. The added arugula was perfect. The only thing I would change would be to put the tomatoes on cold at the end instead of cooking them so they had a little more fresh flavor. The unexpected cannoli were also as good as any I have had. Crisp shell and filling was not grainy. Lastly, as I write above, the staff went above and beyond when they could have just ignored us. I came in on a weekday night during a recent work trip and thought I'd give this place a shot. I walked in around 9:30 PM and it wasn't incredibly busy but there was still a handful of groups inside. The restaurant was clean and the man taking orders was pleasant and polite. I ordered a small calzone and paid $20 (I'm a sucker for calzones) and hoped it would be worth the money - and it was worth way more. The calzone was full of meat and was extremely good. The bread was cooked to perfection, the cheese inside was perfectly melted, and they did not skimp on the meat. Great place and I'll definitely be back this week as I'm here for a few days. read more

Came here twice on a visit to Pgh. Pretty decent pizza here if you happen to be close by the convention center - just not in the best part of town. There are some interesting characters on the street corner, but hey, that's downtown Pgh for ya - interesting place. The crust is crispy, the cheese and sauce are good - the pepperoni is cup pepperoni, if you like that sorta thing but all we had was the cheese slices and a large pepperoni pie.
