Our favorite is the Drunk Meatball: that homemade vodka pizza sauce, and their homemade meatballs, along with the rosettes of ricotta cheese is amazing. Lupo has a wonderful char to the crust and the undercarriage is slightly crispy. The second favorite is the 10th Ward pizza: the combination of meats, peppers, and ricotta makes it amazing. The challenge we have had with Lupo there isn't a place it eat inside, and it takes 20 mins for us to get home, so we have lost some of the warmth and the crust isn't quite as crispy; enter Coven Brewing. We go to Coven and get a beer, we have placed our order with Lupo and we will walk down, get our pizza, walk back and demolish it. Coven has some great beer, especially if you like IPAs; Lupo has Pittsburgh's best pizza; I cannot think of a better pairing. The service at Pizza Lupo is great, they are kind even when their phone is ringing off the hook. Our last time I was getting busy signals because calls were coming in so fast. Somehow they maintain the ability to get a pie out the door in under an hour. When we go there, there are boxes stacked high and they have a steady stream of people entering and leaving, never do I hear a complaint.

This is my favorite pizza place of all time. It is the only pizza place that has great sauce, normal amount of cheese that does not go bad once it gets cold. I wish I lived closer so I could get it more often. Any time I am in area I get a personal 4 slice. The employees are always nice & helpful as well. read more

They don't seem to care about how they run their business: "I wanted to make you aware of a service experience that most likely doesn't align with your values. This occurred last night (7/6/26) between 7 - 8 PM. I didn't want to just slam you with a 1 star review, but the visit warrants one! We arrived shortly after 7, ordered a pepperoni roll, cheese ravioli dinner, fries, and a soda + cup of water. The pepperoni roll came out in 15 minutes after ordering, not bad at all. 25 minutes after ordering, I went to check on the ravioli and dinner salad. The delinquent female answering the phones and working the front of house was absolutely awful to deal with. I asked and she said she would check. She came out 5 minutes later with a salad. When I asked about the ravioli at this point she ignored me. We went up to check 2 more times and kept hearing "it's coming, it's coming" in an antagonist tone. Finally at 50 minutes after ordering, we had enough. Never received the french fries, ravioli, garlic bread and asked for our money back. The girl was really pissed off, but provided a refund. She has no customer service skills at all and should not be representing your business. All she had to do was come over, apologize and tell us what was going on. She went further to say she wanted to say something to us (probably an insult) but wasn't going to. I asked her to please say it, but she refused. There was another couple waiting for plain spaghetti for at least 20 minutes as well, for a toddler. My girlfriend also got involved and the order taker was rude to her as well. When I said she was getting a 1 star review, she said "I don't care". Is this really what you want as your front facing customer service? There are many options out there! One other note, we asked the pizza maker for assistance twice, but he refused and deferred to the front counter operator. He didn't have much common sense either. If he had any empathy he would have jumped in. This girl is costing you sales and customers. We will never come back, and I can't imagine we are the only ones. I am saving my review for your response. I am not looking for a free meal or any compensation, I don't need it. Just don't want you to think that is my angle."

The service was given with matter of factness without a clear understanding when questioned. Ambiance was cool. You can sit indoors. However, we took the pizza to Lefty's. Service and better pricing explanations could have made this experience better. But hands down the pizza was good.

I truly believe they just throw pizza together using minimal ingredients, and charge you $5 for dough.. flour yeast and water is way cheaper food cost for them than pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.. I think they are cheating and overcharging their customers for a " sub par" food item and rely on people drunk leaving bars on a weeknight just to generate income.. I'll never spend my $ here again.
