Slices are large enough that one is plenty unless you're particularly hungry. I like their pepperoni pizza. The cheese was so good, and as others have noted, the crust is a little doughy. Pint & Slice features local Fort Wayne beer as the perfect complement to your meal. There is some seating inside along with a cool mural. There is also plenty of outside seating on the Porch off Calhoun (the alley between Pint & Slice and the parking garage. Besides coming here for lunch, I could see it being a great place for a casual date night, especially if you take advantage of the good weather and the porch. Something I really appreciate about this pizza shop is the quality of their pizza boxes. It holds up well if you prefer to get your pizza to-go.

Lexy's Pizza (Spring Street, Fort Wayne) - first time trying this pizza institution…read more I've seen lots of outstanding reviews for Lexy's. How can you live in the Fort and not visit the original Spring Street location that was founded by Lexy Demetroff since 1957? Well...I've now checked that one off my bucket list! I ordered a medium Everything pizza around 4:30p on a busy Friday evening. They quoted me a 40 minute wait time...and they were spot on. Lexy's pizza menu and prices are typical of most non-budget pizza places. They offer deep dish pizzas as well. The Spring street location is small with ample parking in the back. There is thin table that lines two walls with bar stools. I suppose you could eat in. However carry out is most common. The kitchen is wide open to the entry way. You can watch the pizza artisans doing their craft. I found the team here to be very friendly and welcoming while focusing on pizza making. In my first trip to Lexy's I found the pizza to be quite delicious. The crust is thin. The edges are crispy - yes, really crisp. The underside in the middle of the pizza was soft and nicely baked. No obvious added flavoring to the crust. Pretty much a plain flour dough. Lexy's motto is "Generous portions, Quality ingredients"...and that is what I found. The toppings were piled high on a bed of ground up American sausage. The rest of the meats and vegetables were plentiful and tasty. The toppings were held in place by a thick bed of fresh mozzarella cheese. The pizza is well baked as evidenced by the crispy edges and "frico" browned cheese. The browned and slightly crispy cheese added a different taste to the oozing bed of mozzarella that was below the surface. The sauce was not as prominent as I hoped. The toppings dominated the taste. The bit of sauce I could detect was slightly sweet and had a good tomato taste. The whole pizza was nicely moist. You pick up a good blend of different ingredient tastes. Cold Pizza Test - the next morning the cold pizza tasted almost exactly like the pizza from the night before - delicious! The pizza was still very moist. The crust was still very crispy. The flavor from the toppings did tend to faded a little.

Unlike the majority of pizza places in Fort Wayne, , they don't have gluten-free options, so I can't eat there. They took the two slices out of the display case (for who knows how long they were sitting) and reheated them. It was the greasiest pizza he ever had. The grease was flooding the plate and dripping down his arm. Mediocre taste. Also the typical ridiculous Electric Works price. Be aware that there's a cult of people who defend this place viciously on social media, so if you're not a fan of conflict, you might not want to express an opinion less than glowing.

Solid NYC style pizza…read more.. Been wanting to try Johnny Ox for a while and finally got around to it... Glad I did, because the pizza was great. It's your classic NYC style pie... Crispy crust with a chewy middle, tangy red sauce, and good ole low moisture mozzarella. While I didn't love the house made sausage (it had a funky spice that I couldn't quite figure out), the pizza itself is some of the best I've had in FW. If you've been to NYC pizza joints, Johnny Ox brings back those memories... Definitely worth a stop to grab a slice or two (or a whole damn pie).

Perfectly cooked and the flavor was perfect. It was thin, light, crunchy crust but not too crunchy, dough nice and soft at the same time. Highly recommend it. Pasta: A bit underwhelming. I felt it could use more sauce and a bit more flavor as it was bland. Portion was decent. The pork should have been cooked more as it was chewy and in a carbonara, i expect the pork to be a tad crispier. Dessert: I am a tiramisu fanatic and I was disappointed when i took a bite of it as it was more like a slice of cake pretending to be a tiramisu. It was yummy but i would not consider this a slice of tiramisu. You can see in my last photo where you see the cake style parts of it. While i do love strawberries, they were an odd touch considering it's supposed to be tiramisu and not a slice of coffee, chocolate flavored cake. Overall i believe that we overpaid for dinner. If i were to return, I would probably just stick to the pizza. I love that they have vegan and gluten free options so that's a plus but other than that, i can't say i will be returning soon. I wanted to give it a 2.5 but not an option so 2 it is!
