Pizza and wings are good, 8/10 for Pizza Hut, but I keep forgetting they don't do their own deliveries anymore. It takes a lot longer now because they hand off to DoorDash rather than use their own delivery drivers. It's a mile from my apartment but it's always 30+ minutes longer than the tracker says. Also, none of the delivery information transfers over. This includes apartment number, gate code, building number, etc. So you order a pizza online and end up on someone's cell phone for 5 minutes explaining where you live. (Sometimes, other times it's fine). It diminishes the convenience and value of delivery and makes me want to go somewhere else or go pick it up myself. The store is great, the staff seems great. Just received my pizza in south Austin. As I was eating I found a piece of plastic in the pizza that I almost choked on.

Pizza is good but the toppings are missing or very little toppings, or the order is completely wrong. If you are adventurous I guess it is pretty fun not knowing what your box contains until you open it. read more

Surprisingly good. Even more so for a chain. I've been going to this location since their Greystone location closed and the nearby Domino's took a dramatic turn for the worse. Every time I've placed an online order, it comes out right. The orders are always prepared accurately and the food is still hot. And for fast food pizza, it tastes good. Tonight's hand tossed pizza was solid for inexpensive pizza and the pizza rolls compared favorably to Double Dave's Pepperoni Rolls -- in fact, they were better. But every time I've come into this location, I've received excellent service. The help is always friendly and even when there's a line, it moves quickly. Tonight was an added touch, though. The lady who gave me my order decided that the box for the pizza rolls didn't look sturdy -- she immediately changed the box out. Worst ever. Won't order from them again. I had placed an online order for a super supreme pizza with no mushrooms (husband is severely allergic to mushrooms-ER visit allergic). What I didn't expect is that my super supreme pizza was loaded with mushrooms. Unacceptable. I call the store and ask to speak to the manager. Shelby offered to remake the pizza and send it out free of charge. Of course it needs to be free, they messed it up. Another hour later, pizza finally arrives. I open it in front of the delivery driver to make sure no mushrooms. I didn't see any so I let him leave. By this time, it's almost 9PM. Husband is too tired from work to bother to eat, so he goes to sleep and decides to take the pizza with him to work in the morning. The next day, today, he goes to heat up some pizza for a mid morning snack. About 30 minutes later, he's puking in the bathroom and can't figure out why. It finally subsides about 45 minutes later. Lunch time rolls around and he figures that he can eat again. Another couple of slices of pizza. Not even 10 minutes later, he's back to puking. He decides to take a look at his pizza. Picks off the meat, the vegetables, then goes to lift off the cheese and sees...mushrooms. WTF? I call the store again. Speak to Shelby again. I have ordered pizza from this location many times and every single time I have been let down. I order Pizza Hut pizza because I like the sauce so on every order I order I add extra sauce. Certain stores could be managed better...long waits, delays in delivery,etc. Prices are high $31.00 for a large pizza and 2 orders of 6 piece wings...maybe affordable is you don't eat out every weekend. We regularly have a pizza night and trade off between our neighborhood Papa Murphy's, homemade, and local Jollyville Pizza Hut. In the past, we've experienced timely, friendly, consistent service. I didn't specify great, but definitely consistent. Yesterday we ordered pizza delivery online (nearly impossible to do so by phone...more on that later) and finalized the order by 7:15 p.m. Delivery was guaranteed by 8:15...a longer than typical wait but we usually order around 4 p.m. My family waited in the open dining room attached to the living room and around 8:20, I came home asking where the pizza was. I got on the phone to call and find out. The only information online stated it was on it's way with no time. I waited on the phone for 4 minutes listening to the automated machine. Someone picked up and then the line went dead...okay, that can happen accidentally. I called again and waited on the phone for 10 solid minutes when it was answered. The attendant asked for a name for the order...then the phone number...then said, it's out for delivery...and then I asked, "When, as it was supposed to arrive 20 minutes ago?" She let someone else answer...he finally said, "You're pizza was delivered but no one answered the door." "Um, no my family has been here waiting this whole time and I've been on the phone with you for 20 minutes." Him; "Well, no one answered the door and the driver tried to call and there was no answer." Me; "No! There are no missed calls! I've been here waiting on the phone and there was no one that came by." He said he wasn't sure what happened to the phone line.....What?!? His only offer, without any apology about the inconvenience or wait time was to make another pizza and then deliver it with NO guarantee time.....What?!? There was no offer for a free pizza, a coupon to use in the future, an apology, an acknowledgement that something definitely went wrong and he wanted to make it right. When I come asked to speak with the manager he claimed he was the manager. Pizza Sucks is what I'll call it from now on...and that's a more polite term than one that more accurately describes this experience. We'll continue our pizza nights with mom and pop locals. read more
