Plenty of cheese but the flavor was just kind of meh. The meatballs were okay. The calzone is huge. It was also so greasy that it leaked on everything else. However, I was told that it is still just as good as it used to be. We saw a special for a free garlic bread and tried to use a $1 off coupon when calling it in. When picking up, we were told you can't use the coupon with the bread special. Not a big deal but maybe say that when we are placing our order. All in all, will try again but maybe just stick with pizzas or rollos.

I stopped in recently, after ordering for a carryout. This place was recommended to me not too long…read moreago, and I had not heard of it. It was the first day of the World Series when I stopped by, and to-go orders were already in queue. The building itself is nestled obscurely on a street in between a few bars, where folks were getting ready to board shuttles or watch the game. I found parking easily on down the street. I walked in and the place itself is outdated inside. I don't mind that, but it really didn't lend itself to being a place I felt like hanging out and eating for a while. While I was waiting to pick up my pizza, which was a large The Works, I had a nice conversation with the owner, Wally, learning a little about the history of the place and it's claim to fame as the first thin crust pizza place in Milwaukee. When the pizza came, Wally opened up the paper-wrapped pizza. I took the big pie home and very much enjoyed my pizza. It was wrapped in paper (not a cardboard box), which is unique nowadays, and it was fine for me, but you may want to keep that in mind if you are ordering multiple pizzas and may need to stack them on top of one another. (Maybe the store already has a solution for that?) I liked the thin and crispy crust and the dark char, which mimics wood-fired but isn't wood-fired. I also liked that the slices were squares of varying sizes. The squares offer more options and is great for a crowd. It was good pizza, good classic pizza, and I will be back again for carryout.

After browsing the online menu, I called to place an order for a large thin crust pizza with beef meatballs and extra cheese. Within half a hour, my pizza was ready for pickup. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the gorgeous, cheesy pizza - but prehaps I'll post another review with photos the next time I order from this pizzeria. The pizza was delicious, glad I requested extra cheese and the toppings wed evenly distributed over the pizza so each bite was great. Also, I really enjoyed the pizza sauce, it was mild and flavorful. Great spot for pizza, thank you!
