We came by here for a quick trip in between celebrating my birthday. The store is on Morris Street which still has the original road from the beginning of Birmingham. We really enjoyed our visit here and the food was so good! Something about enjoying pizza on sourdough just slaps right. The waitress we had was super kind and wished me happy birthday as well. Overall such a good experience.
Best pizza ever!!! We started with the meatballs which we were very pleasantly surprised with, they were very yummy. The pizza is just out of this world.. the sourdough crust just hits different! Lastly, we had the pistachio tiramisu which might be the best dessert we have ever had. Super light with the perfect texture.
Wonderful service for Sunday lunch! This highlight here is totally the dough -- you can tell it's super fresh and has that great sour flavor. The 14" pizza is the perfect amount to split between two people. I love this location, and the gelato spot next door is the cherry on top. Parking on Morris Ave can be difficult some evenings, but well worth it. I love that you can see into the kitchen. The art on the walls is fabulous, I wish they would put the artists' names by them so I could look it up!

They do not take reservations and are pretty popular. From the host to the server everyone was so friendly and down to earth. The apps were delicious. Pizza was overall okay. A little burnt but still good. The seasonal peach and prosciutto was so good! Got to try their hot honey and homemade ranch as well.
I love Pizza Grace! This is my second time here and I had to get the garlic bread again. I'll probably get it every time and could just eat this as my meal. Highlyyyy recommend. We split the pepperoni and the Calabrian, which is on their summer menu and has chicken on it and is so flavorful. Their sourdough crust is really good and just a solid pizza overall. They do not do reservations so it's always good to get there early and put your name down. Luckily they have seating outside where you can drink a glass of wine or a really good gelato shop right next door to wait. Will be coming back!!
We are here on a Sunday at 11 am. The restaurant is not too big but they do have outdoor seating. We had the Caesar salad and it was plenty for two to share. The fried capers and sourdough crisps were a nice touch. We ate the pepperoni pizza and got a pizza that was half the mushroom/olive and Nardello. The crust was sourdough perfection. The toppings were delicious and the pizzas were definitely covered in topping. We loved every bite. The service was speedy and the staff was friendly. A great place to grab a specialty pizza!

The staff were excellent!! A very welcoming and comfortable environment was also a nice feature. There is a full view of the kitchen which is an open concept. The pizza was good if you like a lot of dough. The toppings were good but sparse. It's not what I would consider a conventional pizza. It's also made with a sourdough crust which was good! It would be a good choice for a date or a family.
The wait wasn't bad. Service was good. We ordered appetizers and a pie. The food was good. Pepperoni galore on the pizza. We went basic. The meatballs were top shelf. Cute place with a nice vibe.
We came to Pizza Grace on a Friday, for an early dinner. Upon arrival, it wasn't busy(AT ALL) but we blinked and this places was full of pizza wanting patrons! This isn't the biggest restaurant. It's comfortable and you don't feel like you are sitting on top of anyone. The ambiance is relaxed and decorated nicely. My fav part is the exposed bricks. Table seating, a few bar seats and some high table top seats are available. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with mushrooms on 1/2. I also requested a side of hot honey. The pizza was quite tasty and I loved the sourdough crust. The ingredients were fresh & of great quality. Our server was really polite and kept our water glasses full. I also had a Good people IPA. They have a respectable wine list but had limited beer options. If you come here, parking on Morris Ave could be a challenge. Thankfully , it wasn't for us. This was my first time at Pizza Grace. The yummy food and good service were worth the visit!
Stopped by on a Tuesday evening. Restaurant was busy but luckily had 2 seats open at the bar. Service was great - our waitress was friendly and checked up on us throughout our meal. We ordered the Garlic Bread with a side of Marinara sauce as well as the White Pie with Sausage added. Everything tasted great and fresh. Didn't feel too heavy. Overall, I would highly recommend. Parking: Nearby street parking and paid parking lots nearby.
Overall, really enjoyed my experience at Pizza Grace with no major complaints and would totally come back but personally doesn't stand out from other pizzerias. You are definitely paying for the atmosphere as it has a great ambiance with candle lighting on Morris Ave but doesn't take away from very solid pizza.
this restaurant is located on morris avenue and it's perfect for a date night! paid or street parking available! the restaurant is on the smaller side but staff is very attentive and the waitlist went by quick. there is both indoor and outdoor seating. our waitress was great! we started off with garlic bread to share and it was perfect. the pizzas were pricey but worth it! the crust is sourdough and cooked to perfection!

One could make an argument, and rightfully so, that pizza is not a dish requiring reinvention. Yet, we are humans, we cannot stop ourselves at the Neapolitan classic version, the iconic NYC slices nor the Chicago deep dish. Something within us, is tirelessly reinventing. Whether good or bad, someone else can decide. A real distinction of Pizza Grace is in its most fundamental element, and the aspect that one could argue to be the most important part of any pizza, period. Of course, that would be the crust. The crust here is created with wild yeast sourdough, called "Frank", resulting in a unique profile regardless of what later lands on top of the pizza. Let's pause here for just a second, is it not ridiculous having to wait 24-48 hours for the slow crust fermentation to happen? Apparently, the owners Chef Ryan Westover and his wife Helene didn't think so. Their signature pizza here is no less impressive either: topped with Louisiana crawfish, ricotta, Parmesan, mint and basil. It is a true star of the show. It's hard for most people to pinpoint exactly where they had the best pizza of their life, but this warehouse building in Alabama might just end up being that spot. read more

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Birmingham!! I would eat here once a week if I could. It's a cute, unassuming spot off the charming cobblestone Morris Avenue. The pizzas and apps are always perfect. They also have the cutest rotating wine menu in collaboration with Golden Age Wine in MTB. The servers are also always so kind and not in a rush. If I could change anything, it would be to take some reservations. I have had to sadly pass up on doing several meals here due to not wanting to bring a group to a restaurant without reservations. Additionally, would love to see a slightly more enhanced outdoor seating area. read more
Good ambiance and service. We went with a large group and our server provided great service. Since we had a large group, we got to taste much of the menu. Pizza was good but didn't live up to the expectations going in. I wish they had more non pizza entrees on the menu. Overall a solid dining experience in a great atmosphere with excellent service. read more
The crawfish pizza was to die for!! One of the best pizzas I have ever had. It was rich, but the lemon and mint helped to balance it out. I was unsure whether all the flavors would work, but it was INCREDIBLE! The burrata was also an interesting combo of ingredients, but it blended together perfectly. The Margherita pizza was just alright, but the sour dough crust was good! The pistachio tiramisu was also amazing. I usually don't choose that dessert, but it was recommended. Orange wine was fine! Service and ambiance were excellent. Very cozy environment and open kitchen concept. read more

I love Pizza Grace! Such a great addition to the pizza places in Birmingham. The restaurant is dimly light with a cozy ambiance. It definitely gets busy on the weekend and we had an hour wait but we just walked to a nearby bar and grabbed a drink in the meantime. We started off with the garlic bread which is so delicious and unlike any of the other ones I've had. The sourdough pizza is amazing and the pepperoni was delicious! read more
Pizza Grace just opened under new ownership, and it is still delicious. Tucked into mercantile, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is perfect for summertime. Our service was attentive and efficient. The white pie was our favorite for tonight. We tried the watermelon granita which was so refreshing. The pistachio tiramisu was delicious, but the pistachio flavor was not coming through as much as we thought it would. Also, they're collaborating with GoldenAge for the wine list - how fun!! Everything is so delicious, but this is an expensive za outing. read more

This past weekend, we went to Pizza Grace because the original owners sold it to the owners of Big Spoon Creamery. So, out of fear and curiosity, we wanted to see if our favorite pizza place was still our favorite pizza place. Let's just start. The garlic bread--they switched the focaccia with pizza dough, spread fairly thin so it was light and crispy--and they swapped the garlic oil for garlic butter with herbs. This was actually really good! We both enjoyed it and thought the flavor of the butter was way better than the original garlic olive oil spread. However, I think they should have kept the focaccia bread and just swapped the olive oil with the garlic and herb butter. That would have been an easy 10/10. But unfortunately, even though it was still very good, it gets an 8.5/10. The pizza itself was still basically the same. We got the pepperoni pizza. Upon arrival and tasting, we could tell they cut back on the red pepper flakes, which we were both happy about. Our main issue was the fact that we could tell, visually, the pizza was smaller and not as big as it used to be. We didn't like that we were paying basically the same price for less pizza. I'd recommend either making the pizzas bigger again or lowering the price. This also would have been a 10/10, but we're taking off points for the pizza being visibly smaller and giving it a 9.5/10. For dessert, I got the Big Spoon Bar, which has fior di latte, salted caramel, TCHO chocolate, sea salt, and hazelnut in it. No notes here--easy 10/10. I literally could not complain. First bite was heaven! All in all, this was very good with only a few minor disappointments. Is this still my favorite pizza place? Yes. Will I return? Yes, I will--but I also think it depends on whether they adjust the price or return the pizza to its original size. That's literally just how we feel since we've been going there for years. I highly recommend you guys go check this place out. Tell them I sent you! read more

This was the best pizza we have ever had! My husband and I were visiting and came across this place. The crawfish was the most unique pizza and our wine was great!! I got the orange wine by the glass and my husband got the white from Italy. We ended the night with the pavlova with local peaches and wow it was good!! If the weather is nice the lil patio in the alley is so cute and perfect ambiance for date night. Highly recommend!! read more

We had a great evening dinner here. We started off with a garlic bread with the stracciatella cheese dip the flatbread on the same sourdough as the pizza and is very good. I'm not a fan of the cold cheese dip. We ordered half of a peaches & prosciutto and half a mortadella. The pizzas were so different and very delicious. The desserts we great. We had the pastacio tiramisu and the watermelon granita. Outstanding finish. Chef/owner Ryan dropped by our table to say hi and asked about our experience. Try it. read more

Anytime I see panzanella salad on the menu, I must get it!! Their version was a home run, 10/10!! It was presently beautifully and the flavors were so delicious. Also got meatballs which were very good!! read more
