Joey is Back like he never left! The food truck is King I caught them at a Raven's tailgate. I was bragging to my roommate how is the best food truck pizza in the world, and stumbled upon the truck that same week. The service was fast and friendly as always. The pizza was delectable, the bottom crust just right. The sauce and toppings were just right. I was so excited to surprise her with a slice. She is a trained chef so her taste pallet is fine tuned. Perfect pizza! Perfectly clean truck. read more

We had Pizza di Joey's food truck at our house for a birthday party and the food was amazing!! Joey was a great partner, communicating well in the lead up, arriving early to set up, and breaking everything down without us lifting a finger. Our guests were raving about the food - we will definitely be working with Joey again! read more

Located inside of Cross Street Market: This review is simply for the focaccia bread! I was able to get the bread that comes on their caprese sandwich as an individual item. I asked for the bread to be sliced and warmed, and it was so perfect. The only thing missing was a seasoned olive oil, but I ate most of it just how it was and it was just fine. They do have a seasoned butter and marinara sauce to pair if you would like. I took the rest home and added olive oil, which sent it to the max! The order was enough to eat off about 4 times, but I ate it all in one day! I saw online that they also offer pizza making classes, which I'm sure is cool experience. read more

I had a work event catered by Pizza Di Joey Last week and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Joey was quick to respond to my questions about pricing and logistics. Food arrived on time and hot. He made accommodations as needed and the food was delicious. I will definitely be using Pizza Di Joey catering again for personal and work events. read more

I gave it one star because I had to give it something. There is burnt and then there is burnt the F up and thats what we got. They would not make another or refund our money. It is an insult to cal this NY pizza, or pizza from anywhere. Keep your money and go to & pizza. The killer was when the owner said he did not have to satisfy the customer. Really. read more

Food: 3/5 Service: N/A (did takeout) Price: $$ This review is only for the food, we ordered the Margherita 24" and Grandmas. The pizzas were unfortunately underwhelming. The crust leaned towards the dry side, and the overall flavor profile was a bit lacking. My partner and I both wished there was more sauce and flavorful sauce at that on the pizzas. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't stand out either. Giving it a 3/5 for now, and will try again but this time for dine-in. read more

My son brought home some garlic knots leftover from a work luncheon from here. Till know I've only had the pizza which is great. OMG these garlic knots are fire. Right up my alley with the loads of garlic, butter and Parmesan, they are truly delicious knots, probably even better fresh right out the oven. read more

Must have when you're in Baltimore. This pizza especially the Sicilian is so damn good that spicy drunk grandma is phenomenal

This place is located inside Cross Street Market across from the Atlas Fish Market. I've eaten here a couple of times. This time I ordered their Buffalo chicken slice. The cashier was friendly, but I'll admit I had a bit of sticker shock. $9 for a slice of pizza. I asked the cashier for the big slice near the glass display, which she acknowledged, but the slice I received was thinner/smaller and I noticed none of the slices from the display were taken. Maybe she got me a fresh slice? I didn't want to bring it up so I proceeded to find a table to enjoy my slice. The slice was flavorful with a drizzle of ranch. The crust was perfectly crisp. It was a bit charred looking on the bottom but luckily I could not taste it. I'd definitely be less happy if I paid less money for a bad slice, but the steep price tag is why I took away a star. read more

Didn't want to like the pizza as much as I did. Yes it's mad expensive but the pizza slaps! Service is great and they have an outside window as well. A great pick me up for bar hopping for the game on Sunday's. We got a slice of pepperoni which did not disappoint. The buffalo chicken pizza went crazy and you can choose between ranch or blue cheese drizzled on top. I would definitely check it out at least once if in Fed. read more

IMPORTANT DETAILS Cheese Slice - $5, toppings - $9 (ouch) GOOD - service and pizza top( sauce and cheese BAD - CRUST - burnt and more burnt Pizza di Joey was recommended as a Market visit, so I gave it a shot. Baltimore has great food - seafood (country top contender) and winning meats/sandwiches. What Baltimore doesn't ace is thin crust pizza. Time and time again - too soft, too chewy or too burnt. Pizza di Joey falls into category C - see picture. The top with sauce and cheese was good and flavorful. The sweet attendant and good top carried 3 stars, but the burnt crust fills every bite. The oven temp is probably okay, it needs to come out 3 mins earlier. I probably won't go back, but the sandwich pictures and specials looked good - I'd try them and pass on the pizza read more

Overpriced, mediocre pizza. Pizza di Joey claims that their slices are "jumbo" but they are no bigger than most pizza slices I've gotten. The non-cheese slices also cost $8-$9, which is what I would expect to pay at a sports stadium, not at a takeaway stand. Even with inflation, these slices should have cost no more than $5. Pizza di Joey is a no-frills takeaway stand in a Baltimore food market, and the service could have been better, with my friend and I each ordering a slice that took almost 10 minutes to heat up (it should take under 5 minutes). I got a slice of the caprese pizza, which was OK. The crust was solid with a bit of cheese. However, I was disappointed that the mozzarella and tomato were just plopped on the pizza, and had no olive oil, balsamic, or other seasoning to add flavor. I would recommend other restaurants at this food market if you are hungry and want a bite to eat. read more

I had the pleasure of getting to try this pizza from their food truck during an open house. They're based out of Baltimore with a brick and mortars location there so I was fortunate enough to try food from the truck. I got the Buffalo chicken pizza with ranch drizzled on top. The pizza was Soo good! The crust had a perfect crisp to it that was overdone and the chicken pieces were juicy. The ranch added the nice twang that I love. I enjoyed it so much I did end up getting a piece to go! I also tried the pasta salad which was fine. I would've liked it to be a little more "juicy" perhaps a little more dressing, but that may just be a matter of personal preference. Definitely try the pizza, you won't regret it! read more

Shame on me for not reading the reviews before eating there. My pizza was inedible, totally charred on the bottom. So, I spoke with the owner JOEY, who said he would not exchange the burnt slice for a new one or refund me my money! Horrible customer service. If I could give them a "0" I would. Just of the arrogance of JOEY, he is not backing up the food that he is serving to the public and ripping people off. read more

Great pizza. The owner is apparently from right across the Outerbridge from New York City, so you know he knows his stuff. The pizza had that perfect crunch that's expected of New York City pizzas. My friend and I were looking to grab a slice and pizza di Joey looked like a great spot as right before the ravens game, that's where All the traffic was headed. We waited in line and we're greeted and treated quite well when it was our turn. They were out of the sausage pizza so we didn't get to try that but we paid a hefty fine for our pepperoni. We both grabbed a 12 oz but later realized the 32 ounce was clearly the better option. Out two slices and 2 12 ounce beers were about 20 bucks. The pizza was okay but not worth the price. I know the market is changing but it was just ok: I prefer more of a thicker crust and think there's better tasting lower priced pizza to be had In the city. Not a terrible option but definitely not my first choice. read more

As stated in several of my reviews related to NY style pizza: I'm a Chicagoan who prefers NY slices to deep dish. While that probably deducts points from my Chicago card, it's the truth. That being said, I popped over here one day seeking the perfect plain ol' cheese slice. It was early so there was no wait to order just waited a few minutes for the slice to be heated. Gave me time to gather all the important seasonings: oregano, garlic and red pepper flakes. It was massive and piping hot. The crust was perfect and it did the job. Not the best slice I've ever had and not the worst. Definitely would grab another. read more

Love the truck. The stand prepped my pizza ahead of the order time and wouldnt reheat it.

I visited Pizza di Joey inside Cross Street Market this past Sunday. First time dining in, I saw they had an eggplant Parmesan sub for $7 with chips included. Decided go give it a try and I thought the sub had a good portion size to it. The roll seemed to overwhelm what was inside of it. The bread was good but the eggplant almost got lost in it a bit. I would have liked the see either a different roll or more eggplant. Flavor wise, the sub was good. Had the cheesy quality you come to expect with any eggplant parm. Can't beat that price either. The chips were Utz which are not very exciting for me but I did enjoy the sub. I was surprised they had no fountain drinks; just bottled. I was looking to just have a cup of water but made the decision to go without a drink. I know this place is known for its great pizza....but I guess I just kind of expected a bit more from what I got. I may try something here again if I happen to be at the market, but I can't honestly say I'd go out of my way for it. read more

Stopped in with my daughter for the first time based on reviews and location. Has high hopes but as you can see the bottom is burned /over cooked. I really wanted to send it back as all I could taste was charcoal but didn't say anything. Then the nice lady at the counter asked how was it and when I told her it was burnt she proceeded to tell me it was because it's a brick oven pizza so it's just going to be like that. Then I showed her the back and she does yeah that's normal. I really was not feeling good so not about to go back and forth but I've had plenty of brick oven pizza that was not torched, at least you could have offered a fresh slice or refund as she saw we didn't eat it. Never again. read more

After hearing the hype from my sister I was finally in fed hill and got to stop by their really cool pizza window on cross street (open very late too so bonus points for that as i get off work late often on weekends). My boyfriend and I stopped in on our way home from a weekend in Baltimore. They had a super busy day before so they were out of a lot but still managed to cook us up a really solid pizza that hit the spot. We got a grandma pie with sopressata pepperoni and it was so good! The crust wasn't too thick or too thin and the sauce was flavorful. The service was fantastic. The team was really warm and checked on us a few times to make sure we enjoyed everything. As a grab and go spot, we really loved this as we didn't really expect it. Would highly recommend before a game or if you're visiting Baltimore and are craving pizza! read more

Good Day good people!! Hey ...are you ready to get ignored, brushed off, and insulted?? Well I got a place for you!! @pizzadijoey this is exactly what happened to us. Look, I LOVE PIZZA, but not more than decent, attentive, and polite customer service (with those attributes being the most menial traits anyone with poise, dignity, and self respect should endure via any customer service experience). We get to their establishment and nobody is in line. After not being greeted by the representative standing right in the front where orders are taken, I uncomfortably look at their menu that's on the counter. Still nobody said anything "May I help you", "First time here", "These are my recommendations"....we get NOTHING!! I'm about to order, until I remember who we are...enlightened, high vibrational, human beings that over-stand deplorable, vile, detestable, repugnant and disappointing customer service. As we walk away laughter ensued from that server, and he said "You snooze, you lose" obnoxiously aloud. What this spot didn't know is that I've done my diligence on them weeks before we got there. I've researched reviews, the menus, parking, highest foot traffic times, their best sold items, location, bios, store mantras...that employee didn't know that I was well versed and excited with this establishment before I even walked in the door. Other reviews said their pizza is the best, it's difficult for me to believe via the dehumanizing energy that must go into their pies. I will never return. They are located at 1065 S. Charles St., Baltimore M.D. inside the Cross Street Market. That's it. **This establishment is Covid compliant** read more
