The Baltimore Farmers' Market brings together a unique collection of area farmers and small and…read morelocal businesses. You can grab a hot breakfast and brunch, empanadas, pies, donuts, coffee, vegan items, dips, fresh bread, flowers, tea, dairy meat and, of course, locally grown fruits and vegetables. I went to the market for some fresh baked bread and bagels. While I was there, I was persuaded to purchase a vegan sandwich and some organic vegetables. I had to stop myself because there were quite a bit of other things that caught my eye too. The market is set up right below the highway and was very easy to get to. There is a public parking lot right next to it as well as lots of street parking. I found the Instagram page for the market and the website to be very helpful and informative with information like times, vendors and explanations on how to arrive. All of this adds up for a uniquely Baltimore experience with something for everyone.

There's a variety of vendors and many of them allow you to taste their produce. Soul Smoked BBQ being there is a delight for morning breakfast sandwiches. There's something for everyone there with food stands, flowers, produce, honey, booze lol. I mostly come with my husband to get produce but we've also gotten breakfast there and very well thought out pastries. You can get duck eggs sometimes and eggs from 2 or 3 vendors. If kettle corn is your thing, also something to pick up. The openness of the market and the friendliness of the veggies both edible and non is what makes us keep coming back. I've had beignets and oysters all in the same day.

Hawaiian Shave Ice $3 @ (4/5 NOMs). I really enjoyed this…read morehawaiian shaved ice. I went with Pink Lemonade, Blue Berry and Coconut flavors in a nice pretty rainbow! Loved Blue Berry, so nomnom. Coconut was very strong so I wouldn't order it. Some of the nice people work at this food truck. Stop by and say hello to them! I will post more pics of them later. Ok, I may lose my Baltimore residency for this…read more Way. Better. Than. Sno-Balls. Way. Better. The consistency of Hula Honey's summertime treats puts all sno-balls to shame. Their shaved ice is like a fine snow that almost evaporates on the tongue, leaving a huge burst of tasty tasty flavor. And speaking of flavors, you won't find the rainbow assortment here. Honey's has less than a dozen, I'd wager. But in addition to the usual standbys, they have several "organic" flavors, made with cane sugar and natural flavors. I actually broke with personal long-standing tradition and passed up blue raspberry for the organic peach flavor, and boy howdy was I rewarded. Major peach punch-the-face with evaporating snow iciness. Delicious. Add to that, the cutest food truck ever, although you probably shouldn't call it a truck. Honey's is a bright yellow converted Bajaj auto-rickshaw. Easy to spot, but if you're not sure, look for the fat man running after it like a kid to the ice cream truck. That would be me. Oh, and they don't have marshmallow fluff, so don't even ask. But if you're partial to that, you're hating on me by now anyway.

Definitely a no-go if you are in a hurry... Visited this food truck on July 31, 2014 at noon when…read moreit was outside JHU. I took the line outside of the truck to be a sign of amazing food and service... I was wrong! The order taking was very slow and I was asked to repeat my order several times. I asked for a Windsor Burger (beef, blue cheese, sweet chili sauce, no onions) and a Chicken Pocket (minus the onions and tomatos) with an order of fries. And I proceeded to wait.... and wait.... It's called "Four Brothers" but only two were there so maybe that was the problem... We, along with the rest of the crowd, waited 25 minutes for our food. While we waited, I noticed that neither the individual taking orders- who also helped with food prep- or the cook were wearing any gloves or anything- and would go from handling pens and paper and cash to handling bread and condiments. When I did get our order, the fries were in the box with the burger (they were ordered with the pita pocket). And while the food was decent tasting- the order was WRONG. The pita pocket had BOTH onions and tomatoes (which we asked to omit), and the burger had American cheese and a pepper relish, not blue cheese and chili sauce. Usually I choose a food truck as an alternative to JHU cafeteria food... but won't be returning to 4 Brothers!

Very disappointed!! Over priced and the only thing home made is the burgers. Almost $7 for chili…read morecheese fries, $2 for some generic half & half, the burger was good. I definitely won't be going back!

Terrible customer service. I left this review on their Facebook page:…read more "Can't rate the food or customer service of this truck because after booking them and then reconfirming our event date (just to make certain), they never even showed up. No e-mail, no phone call. Nothing. We had many of our community residents very disappointed after having marketed this truck for almost two months prior to the confirmed event date. We even sent out their menu to the entire community and as a result they were very excited. This is a bad, bad way to do business. Never have we had a truck NOT show up onsite. It's a shame as I've heard great things about their food."

The meals here are priced to own (especially when parked next to the over-priced Woody's Tacos). This truck usually sports two young dudes listening to Flo Rida slinging standard Indian fare (Chicken Curry, Tikki Marsala and Lamb Vindaloo). The prices are good ($8-9 for entrees), but the real value lies in the freshness. You can't swing a cat in Mt Vernon without hitting a lunchtime Indian buffet these days, but it is so often the same bubbling fodder that has been sitting in a tired chaffing dish since it got mixed in with the leftovers from yesterday. At this food truck, the meals are made fresh and you can epecially taste it in the meats and Indian flat bread. The meals aren't trying to blow your mind, just serve up some good, fresh noise to go. All dishes come with plenty of rice, a side salad and a rameken of that green chutney sauce. The Flo Rida is complementary.
