I tried the crab fries here at the last Gathering. Maybe not the best thing to order? The fries were soggy and everything was so salty.

Between the mouth watering videos on Instagram and the viral buzz with the Keith Lee visit, I knew…read moreI wanted to give Oh Honey on the Bay a try. It appears the best way to know their business hours and ordering process is to give them a follow on Instagram. You can preorder or show up during their business hours. I decided to preorder. I ordered the funky fish sandwich with sweet shebang shrimp, fries, soda and no nanna pudding. You DM your order on IG , they send you their cashapp info you pay on cashapp and then send confirmation of payment via DM. The food is made to order upon arrival so when you get there you inform them of your order they give you a number and then you wait for your food to be prepped. They said they would be there 1p-4p. We got there around 1:13pm and they were still setting up. While we waited they had music playing and they were also serving us moscato and or tequila as we waited in line which was a nice touch. All of the staff looked happy to be there and were very nice. They interacted with everyone positively which I liked. Even with us preordering we still waited about an hour for our food. The fish sandwich is deep fried swai topped with honey, old bay, hot sauce and mayochup on a Hawaiian roll. The shrimp had sweet chili sauce on it and the fries were crinkle cut and crispy with ketchup on top. The meal was delicious and filling. I finished it in two sittings. The no nanna pudding was the perfect sweet treat to compliment the meal. The food is tasty, fresh and affordable. Customer service on point and I definitely recommend.

Oh Honey, On the Bay! is fried fish sandwich vendor that's located in the Hollins Market 'hood -…read more Their menu also offers wings, shrimp, and seafood salad. We ordered: +Oh Honey Puppies - hushpuppies with some corn kernels and drizzled with honey; these were crispy, but could have been more warm +the Loaded Seafood Salad - prepared with tri-color pasta, shrimp, crabmeat, and imitation crab in a mayo/Old Bay salad dressing; served with a mini pack of Ritz crackers; didn't really seem to have any jumbo lump crab, only a couple of shrimp and shredded imitation crab; since these were 'recently' made, they were still at a room temperature and may be better when chilled +the Funky Fish Sandwich with the Sweet Shebang Shrimp and Fries - this is one of their daily specials; deep-fried swai fish in their house flour mixture, set on a toasted Hawaiian sweet bun; the menu stated that it was drizzled with their 'signature honey sauce' but everyone was asked what they wanted, in which choices included regular honey, Old Bay, Heinz Mayochup sauce, or hot sauce - while the fish was hot out of the fryer, the batter was not as crispy as one would have though; it was also was on the bland side, so having the drizzles sort of helped; there were 4 piece of shrimp, which were large in size, but, again, no flavor or seasoning to the batter; served with a side of crinkle-cut fries I wished they had small condiment cups, as whatever sauce(es) you choose, they have to drizzle it all on for you, so you really can't control the dipping situation. The staff here highly recommends their patrons to pre-order, as they state that their food will sell out; there was a 'walk-up' line, which was a first-come, first-serve type of a situation, and people start congregating around half an hour prior to the supposed opening hour. One thing to note is that they don't open on time - we had to wait 35+ minutes, in addition to the preorder queue... getting there about 45 minutes to 1 hour later may be your best bet. Glad I was able to try this viral place out, but not sure if I'd go out of my way to return. +doesn't open on time +Oh Honey Puppies +pre-orders available +in the Hollins Market neighborhood
