A new pop-up food market place in the Inner Harbor's McKeldin Square. The opening day featured food from local favorites such as Dooby's, The Charmery, Brickn Pizza, The Smoking Swine, and there were various lawn games set up. It's supposed to run through October and is definitely a welcomed addition to the food variety downtown. read more

There were 2 kinds - one with the typical powdered sugar and the other...not sure if it was glazed with honey, or had it drizzled on, or even if it was infused...both were delicious! Since these beignets were gratis with this event, I don't know the pricing on them, but I'm willing to find out, lol! I need more beignets in my life, and these were great. You can get 3 for $8, 6 for $12, or a dozen for $20 which is an excellent deal for creative and freshly baked cookies. I've bought them a few times for family gatherings and the house and everyone loves them. If you order on her website you can make your own custom cookie or dough AND if you live within a 25-mile radius of Baltimore she will deliver to you on Saturday (just make sure you order by Thursday night). I'd recommend Nina's Cookie Explosion, Tre's Triple Chocolate, and Birthday Cookies. Overall, I'd recommend checking out their cookies if you have a sweet tooth.

The drink special I pass, I gave it a fair try but it didn't taste good- there was a very acidic taste at the end. My first time in was after calling to see if they had gift cards, went without an answer . So I went there and nope. Waisted my time going there.

There are lots of fun drink options ranging from smoothies, your typical coffee drinks, and frozen coffee drinks. I saw some other customers order food and I'll have to try that next because it looked nice and fresh. The baristas were so friendly too. There are two floors to the cafe. The second floor seemed to be the "work" floor when I was there. There were plenty of people doing work on their laptops and hanging out. I can see myself coming here to work a lot in the future :)

Bird in…read moreHand is a really cute cafe, bookstore, which I plan to return to try the coffee and pastries I stopped for their Community Dinner event called Eat with Me. It was a community dinner party with Chef Char. You had a choice of a ticket with or without wine pairing. Me and my friend chose the ticket with wine pairing. The ticket included two glasses of wine. The menu was not printed online so we went in kinda blind on what was served. The first course was a roasted vegetable dish which consisted of broccoli, fingerling potatoes and pears with a Greek yogurt sauce. The second course was chicken thighs with risotto in a tomato sauce and the third course was a granola strudel with pears. There was also an arugula salad with grapefruit segments and parmesan cheese. I can be brutally honest, none of the courses were seasoned well. The first course was cold, the vegetables were wilted and did not mesh well. Was not expecting pears to be with my roasted vegetables. The second course was underwhelming as well. The food did not have any flavor and the dessert was not my favorite at all. I only ate the fruit out of the dessert. The chef did come out and let us know what each course was, however I felt that she really wasn't too personable with the guests. A few of the guests at the table were her friends so she only engaged with them, and of course they hyped her up, however the food was bland and underwhelming and the majority of the guests including myself did not finish their plates. If there is another community dinner, I hope it will be with a different chef in mind As I stated before my review is of the event, not the business as a whole.
