    Food truck

I tried the crab cake sandwich with lettuce for $22 at a local festival. The sandwich was dense and flavorful. I didn't add mustard or any other sauces. In the future, I would get the crab cake alone rather than the sandwich because I don't think the bread is necessary. They offer packages for those who want to order large quantities of crab. The price point was in line with competitors.

If you're fortunate enough to come across their food truck get the crab cake in cream of crab soup. Definitely an icon in the Pantheon of Baltimore cuisine. Every bite is exploding with goodness! Unlike some in the restaurant industry, these owners did not use Covid as an excuse for declining quality and increasing prices. Portion is generous enough that you can be virtuous and eat half now and the rest the next day. Or you can do like I did and eat the entire thing at once and wish you bought another.

I really wanted to love Flash crabcakes! That is the truth. I found out about Flash while browsing on Yelp, weeks before the TV appearance. After seeing good looking crabcake photos and a really high Yelp rating, I started stalking its Facebook account for the daily schedule. "When is this food truck heading my way???!" "Oh they're at Hopkins today!! I can Uber!!!" Finally, found it parked Downtown. I was very excited!! It was a beautifullllll day!! There was a short line, so had to wait a little. The owner was really friendly, he chatted with the customers and very proud of his business. I didn't mind the wait and I was happy to see a passionate business owner. He offered samples of his crabcake and cream of crab soup. I already had high expectations even before tasting it for the first time. When I had the sample crabcake, I was NOT blown away. :( Tried the sample cream of crab soup next and THAT was GREAT!! Still, I came for the crabcakes, so I still bought 2 orders of All Lump Crabcake with Crackers $13x2 for my husband and I. After eating, we were really disappointed because for $13, it was small and it was not "All Lump". I've also had better tasting homemade crabcakes. I just somehow expected it to be something special. I have had a lot of crabcakes from different "BEST" crabcake restaurants in Baltimore to Annapolis. I was hoping that I was finally going to find THE BEST, but I was wrong. As for Flash, I'd still go and buy its cream of crab soup in the future. I'd be happy to pay $10 for a bowl.

Yum who knew some of the most delicious crab cakes in the city come from a food truck?!? The owners are so friendly and will give you a sample if you are having trouble deciding. I ended up going with the crab cake and soup together which was pretty interesting. Next time I would ask for the soup and crab cake separate - I didn't like the texture once the cake had been in the soup a few minutes. Overall really tasty and reasonably priced.

Was coming back from the pharmacy and passed this food truck. The husband and wife who run this couldn't have been nicer, and the food was excellent! I got the crab cake with the crab soup on top. Delicious, and will definitely return!

Stumbled upon Flash Crabcake today, this is the tastiest crabcake I've had in a very long time. The crab cake was full of crab and very little filler. Jo was kind enough to show me the Baltimore way to enjoy with crackers & mustard, and also threw in her tip of Worcestershire sauce. Both were delicious. I will now be on the hunt for these crab cakes. $10 for 6oz cake with crackers, worth every penny!

Maybe I'm just spoiled by the great crab cakes in this area, but this was really bad. Over seasoned -full of filler.

The ambience is very cute - there are multiple floors to the restaurant so one given area doesn't feel overly crowded. The cocktail menu has some fun and unique options and the food menu has something for everyone! We got the mussels to start, and honestly I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. But the sauce was delicious and I loved the potatoes that came with it. The mussels themselves were very large too! For my main I got the hake, which was so tender and flavorful. It was a generous portion and I was stuffed, but we kept seeing other people order the coffee cake and couldn't help ourselves. I'm so glad we got it, because I'm not normally huge into coffee cake, but this was so delicious that we finished it all! Our server had great recommendations and was patient as we took a long time deciding what to order. I can't wait to come back!

Despite the food and drinks being actually *amazing*, I felt that service wasn't overly friendly or welcoming. It was also a bit disappointing they did nothing to help us celebrate/acknowledge our anniversary. We had been saving this spot for a truly special occasion, and felt like it was just a regular dinner to them. Would definitely come back, but would maybe save the special occasions for somewhere else.

Loved the lump crab cakes so much that I ordered 4 (over $100) to bring to my cousins house for dinner. The crab cakes were accompanied by a handful of greens, and heaping portions of the sides. The soup came with a handful of wrapped crackers - more than we knew what to do with! I preferred the lump crab cake, the sides were all good with the crisp cucumber salad and Cole slaw being pleasantly refreshing. The potato salad was the creamy sort. The shreds of crab was visibly evident in the veggie filled minestrone type soup, but not as evident in taste. It is always tough to get your fix of veggies on vacation, so I'd probably get the lump crab cake with cucumber salad and Cole slaw on another visit, or try one of their seasonal items.
