First, let me start off by saying that I am not the biggest fan of wood-fired pizza, so a four-star rating lets you know that this pizzeria makes a pretty good pie! I visited the Dizzy Cow today on my lunch break. This was my second time having their pizza and I swear every time I order, I am on a diet. Good thing they have menu items that are a bit healthier. During both visits, I ordered the Frenchmen which includes mozzarella, brie cheese, figs, and a honey drizzled on top. Now, going back to my first point, I typically don't like wood-fired pizza because from past experience, the dough on the bottom has a burnt taste. While the Frenchman still had the wood-fired flavor, thankfully it was missing the burnt taste. All in all, the pizza is very tasty and I definitely wouldn't mind giving other menu items a try one day. I caught this food truck at Pariah brewery in Baltimore. I'd never seen it before, but my friend who I was with had had their pizza and was excited about it. It was a tough choice on what to order, but I went with the Frenchman. This had brie, dogs, honey, and mozzarella. I have to say, it was kind of bland to me? I love brie and the figs were good with it, but it was just missing something - it tastes like cheesey bread to me. Which don't get me wrong, I love cheesey bread! But as a pizza it was kind of dry. Maybe it's the lack of sauce. My friend loved it so it may just be me. The guy who took our order was super nice, and they even brought our pizzas inside for us since it wasn't too busy. We were looking to hire a pizza truck for our small wedding. We reached out first to Dizzy Cow. Their response was very impersonal and it took 9 days to get a response to our inquiry. Ironically, when delivering the estimate, rather than showing their enthusiasm for talking more, or selling what they would add to our event their only message was "this message expires in one week" explaining that if we didn't book within the time, the price would go up. Strong flex considering their response time was horrible in comparison to every single one of their competitors. But, we were hopeful that their lack of enthusiasm for their product and poor response time would be unimportant when we tried their pizza. Wrong. We tried two pizzas at Pherm this weekend in crofton. They were not very friendly, and my pizza was awful. I mean, terrible. Burned on the bottom and visibly on the top. My partner's pizza was bland and mediocre at best. We love pizza. I would have hired any of the competition for our big day based on their pizza and service. However, I will never return to Dizzy Cow again. Icing on the cake. They were scheduled to serve pizza at my fiancés job today, and canceled the day of. All signs point to no thanks Dizzy Cow. When the schedule is posted, I check to see if Dizzy Cow will be there. My decision on whether to attend is if it's Dizzy Cow's week. I love Dizzy Cow pizza! the novelty of this place is great. The first time i encountered the famouse mobile pizza oven was at a food truck gathering with open bar so i think my initial reaction was a little over inflated. Dizzy cow set up in the harbor across the street from my office at least once a week when the farmers market would come on Thursdays and then some random Tuesdays. The idea of fresh oven pizza conviently outside my door is awesome and i see why people pay for the novelty. and i do mean pay. prices range from $12-$14 for a pie depending on the toppings you get. The always have a list of suggested pizzas and normally they are a mix of classic ingredients with one or two you wouldnt think of. Every pizza i have had is OK. is it the best pizza i have ever had? No but its great when pizza is what you are craving and you dont want crappy dominos pizza. just watch out for any pizza that has olive oil on it as a topping. the olive oil tends to settle on the bottom of the plate and makes ther otherwise light and flaky crust soggy. Wait times are not as long as you would expect watching your pizza be made from conception. rolling out dought puttig on toppings and baking takes about 15 minutes from start to finish and they will make multiple pizzas at a time so the lines move pretty fast. They were serving at the Crooked Crab brewery in Odenton, and getting ready to leave as we walked up but were still happy to take our orders which I very much appreciated! We tried three different pizzas and each one was great! Their menu changes frequently so I won't get too specific on the toppings, but they have definitely nailed the important stuff-- the crust is crisp as you'd expect from a wood fired pizza, and the cheese is fresh and plenty. Highly recommend! We booked Dizzy Cow for our engagement party and could not have been more pleased. They were punctual, actually arriving earlier than expected for set-up, very friendly, and professional. We did salad, meatballs, and chicken satay to start and our guests LOVED the meatballs. The salad was nice greens (not cheap lettuce) and came with multiple dressing options for our guests to put on their own salad. We chose the Rainy Day, Frenchman, Good Times, Old Faithful, and Verde pizzas and they even made gluten free pizzas and set them aside for me. We even had several guests ask us for their information to reach out about parties they are planning later in the year. Very well priced as we compared them to several other options and very happy we chose them. David was always responsive and very accommodating while working through the contract. Josh and his team did an outstanding job catering my wife's 30th birthday party. Everyone raved about the pizza and meatballs. The Frenchman, with honey, brie, and figs was a huge hit with our guests. One of the best parts about hiring them? They bring everything. They have a nice table they set up to display the pizzas plus plates, cutlery, and napkins. At the end of service they left us with a number of pizzas to leave out for guests and totally cleaned up after themselves, including taking their trash with them. A wood fired pizza oven attached to a trailer. How fun! In the era of food trucks, this set-up really stands out. They had a long line, but they have a well-oiled operation so things moved pretty quick. They only had a few styles to choose from, but I probably could have asked for any of the limited toppings they had. I was surprised to see that the only veggie offering was green poblano peppers. Came acres this mobile wood-fired oven at an outside event in downtown Baltimore. The pizza offerings were imaginative and appealing. I ordered an apple, mozzarella, feta and honey pizza. I was told that it would take only five minutes to prepare! Well, the pizza was ready when promised. The crust was "bubbly" with air pockets creating crunchy sections amongst the chewy texture. To add to the textural interest were slices of fresh apples that had not really been cooked; A result of the super hot wood oven. There were crumbly chunks at feta visible under the gently browned mozzarella, nice fresh apple sliced and honey dribbles across the pizza. The flavor was perfectly balanced. A touch of saltiness from the feta balanced with subtle sweetness of honey and apples. The best pizza I have ever had! Even better than the authentic ones which I had in Italy. I expected it to be good... it was better than good.. really about perfect! And the Frenchman with Brie, figs, olive oil and more was an unexpected delight. I wasn't venturesome enough to order it... I mean really... who puts figs on pizza? I was fortunate to be able to sample a piece. I would have traded my whole pie for the Frenchman... don't hesitate, just order it. The truck features an incredible wood fired Adobe like oven, imported from Italy. The owner is a certified foodie perfectionist and the pizza chefs are artisans. What that gets you is a perfect crust done toasty light charred on the bottom and just the right thickness to carry top quality ingredients and not overwhelm them with dough. Go with someone. We hired Dizzy Cow Pizzeria for our Wedding. Josh and Bree were great to work with; as well as their entire team. We hired a bartender through Dizzy Cow as well, to serve all the alcoholic drinks for our wedding. This was great that they had this as an additional option, as opposed to having to hire a third-party bartender. The only negative thing I have to say about Dizzy Cow was when we placed our "order" to finalize our contract, we had pre-paid for Gluten Free Crusts. I myself have Celiac Disease and have no other option but to have to eat gluten free, as well as two of our guests. We ended up not eating all of the gluten free crusts/pizzas up until about an hour before our wedding ended. When I went to the owner to ask if I could have a gluten free pizza made "to go" (especially considering it was my wedding/I was the groom), I was informed the truck had already started closing, and they unfortunately couldn't do that. This was extremely disappointing; more so for the fact that we weren't even asked about the remainder of our gluten free crust/s. Also, they charged more for the gluten free crusts (for the wedding) than even their menu shows (at the numerous different locations we've visited where they were serving food). When I asked about this we were told they would reduce the price for us, but the price still reflected a higher amount than their daily menu shows. I understand we're talking dollars here, so I'm not going to hurt their review for this, but it really was upsetting they assumed we didn't want pizzas from all the gluten free crusts we had pre-ordered and paid for through them on our contract.
