Hands down the BEST tacos I have EVER had! Not only well priced, but such a phenomenal balance of sweet, savory and spicy...my favorite triple threat! You can truly taste the freshness of the crisp cabbage, flour tortillas and smoked pork. We also had the Cuban Sandwich....perfect pickles and let's just say, it was the bomb dot com. I have a feeling the #1 ingredient in everything they create is love. Heck, just typing this review is making my mouth water. Tried the Al Pastor (pulled pork, chipotle sauce, onion, pineapple and salsa verde), Thai (pulled pork, sweet Thai chile sauce, Asian slaw, peanuts, and pepper confetti) and the Korean BBQ (pulled pork, spicy Korean bbd sauce, scallions and Asian slaw). All three were very good and very tasty. I wish I could have a little more of the sauces for each for a little dipping while the tacos themselves really needed nothing else and would recommend this food truck to anyone. read more

I've just eaten 3 tacos from the Jolly Pig food truck. I got 2 of the Korean and one of the al pastor. They were all delicious! There was plenty of pork and the toppings were fresh and unique to each one. Today they were at the 1623 Brewery in Eldersburg and said they'll be there again but I believe they're traveling to various locations. I'll certainly go again. read more

I attended the pumpkin festival at the Irvine nature center and they just to happened to have the Jolly Pig food truck in the parking lot. After running around all day with a 4 year old I worked up a pretty good appetite. I went over the check out the pink food truck that caught my eye. Looking at the menu there was chicken and pork. I only focused on the pork because it's my favorite. I know with a name like Jolly Pig I wouldn't expect anything less. But I know some people choose not to eat pork for various reasons, so if this description fits you I would pass. But if you happen to be like me and enjoy well prepared pork then you will be happy if you stop by. I chose to go with Korean BBQ, Jamaican Jerk, and Al Pastor tacos. Most of the menu consists of pulled pork tacos, though they do have a few sandwiches as well. The nice lady behind the counter recommended the Korean BBQ as being the most popular. I didn't want to limit myself so I tried to get a variety. They will let you mix and match. The Korean BBQ was absolutely delicious, by far it was my favorite. My daughter at the tortillas and I ate the meat. The other two tacos were great too but my go to will be the Korean BBQ. I will definitely eat here again. I hopefully will see them around again soon. The prices were reasonable I think it was about fourteen dollars for three tacos and a bottle of water. I checked out the website and it gives the locations they will be at. I found The Jolly Pig when they were at National Business Parkway. The different combinations of pulled pork tacos are all so enticing! You can choose either 2 or 3 tacos (I recommend going for 3, why not!?). I had a hard time choosing which 3 I wanted. I settled on the Jamaican Jerk, Zacatecas, and Al Pastor. All 3 were amazingly flavorful and visually appealing. The salsas and toppings on top were bright and beautiful. Overall, I'll be back for more! read more

I had the pleasure of dining at the Jolly Pig food truck at this past weekend's Gathering @ The BMI. The wait was less than 5 minutes and the unique taking your name when you ordered was awesome. When your order is done they yell your name. Almost made me feel like a kid again. You know when you were outside playing with friends and you got that good supper time yell. :) I had the Al Pastor and Zacateca tacos. I ate the Al Pastor first which was mistake because the Zacateca was boring by comparison. Both tacos had the delicious, tender and juicy pork but, the Al Pastor with it's pineapple and cilantro made my mouth dance more. Can't wait to try the other flavors on a future visit. read more

I am always thrilled when I discover a new food truck that includes Baltimore County in its service rounds. Jolly Pig is a welcome addition to the Towson area lunch scene. The owners excel at devising creative twists on the taco, though their BBQ pork sliders are also delicious and vinegary, with a lovely coleslaw crunch. Of their regular offerings, I like the Peking tacos the best - the chopped scallions play beautifully off of the tangy pork. The spicy, fragrant Korean BBQ is a close second. They offer 2 tacos for $8 or 3 for $11 (and they let you mix and match flavors). The owners also come up with lots of interesting specials. I tried their Figgy Piggy sandwich special one day - it was absolutely to die for. I had no idea I even liked fig jam, but it was mind-blowing with their pulled pork. The trucks splits its time between a few standard locations weekly; I usually catch them along Pennsylvania Avenue in Towson, but they also have some favorite spots in Owings Mills. Went back today & was once again blown away!!! I, of course, had to get my favorite Thai taco. But I also decided to try the Carolina & the Zacateclus. Ummm, all I can say is WOW!!!! They consistently make excellent tacos. the Thai: What can I say? I love the tangy sweet sauce & the pepper relish (for lack of a better word). Still delicious the 2nd time around & my staple taco. Zacateclus: Whoah!!! This taco has me questioning whether the Thai is my favorite or not! This may just become my 2nd staple. It's THAT good, people. The Carolina: The sauce is that tangy Carolina sauce we all know & love. The slaw on it gives it a nice crunch & meshes well with the Carolina sauce. I am getting this one again! All in all, I am in love with these tacos. (Can you tell?) What makes me love them even more is the wonderful customer service. Friendly & genuine people, it can't get better than that! I really enjoyed these unique tacos.I tried the Korean BBQ and the Peking BBQ and they were great.I would have gone full 5 star if there was a little less (fresh) veggies and a little more meat. The sauces were so flavorful though. they also have regular Carolina BBQ as well. I will try that next time I go because I will def be a repeat customer! Oh and btw I got to meet the owners/cooks Tad and Joann and they were so nice and personable unlike a few other food truck owners I know who are "to cool for school"..check these guys out! read more

I went to The Jolly Pig during lunch on the Columbia Gateway this afternoon with some co workers. I ordered the Peking Pork and Korean BBQ and the man taking my order was hospitable and friendly. The order took quite a long time.. I would say about ~20 minutes. I was getting pretty frustrated but there were a lot of people around that time. The tacos & pork were very tasty, especially the Peking Pork with crispy onions, YUM. Like most people mention, $10 is pretty steep for two tacos.. but I would splurge every so often and try some more items on the menu. read more

Tried the food truck during a food truck fair. Food was 4 star, experience was a 3 star. The estimated wait time for the food was said to be 15 minutes. It took 44 minutes. If I did not try food from other trucks during the wait, I am sure the experience would have been much worse. There was only one person preparing the food, and one person taking orders. The food was tasty. I was doubtful, but the food basically tasted like they were described to taste. The Korean tasted like kimchi and red sauce, the Peking tasted like Peking duck, and the Zacateca tasted... like a flavorful taco. Minus the awful wait, good food, worth another trip. read more

Grabbed some tacos when they were on calavert street in mt vernon the other day. I got 3 for $12, which is a great deal because these tacos are big and loaded with fresh ingredients including good chunks of meat. Also, you can mix and match tacos, which is awesome. There was no one in line so I got my tacos in about 5 minutes. I got the korean, carolina, and peking taco. The korean taco was good with a spicy kick and the carolina bbq taco had a nice slaw to complement the bbq pork. It was a close race, but the peking taco was the winner with it's originality and deliciousness. What I loved about the tacos was the nice balance of flavors each different taco was able to achieve. None of them were too saucy or bland or overpowering, which can happen when making fusion food. I gotta say, this food truck deserves the awards it has won. I'll definitely be back to try the other options. read more

(02/07/2013) Love food from trucks! Tried a Mix and Match Pulled Pork Tacos: The Grecian, The Bavarian, the Korean BBQ (best of the 3). Plenty of moist shredded meat in each; great flavor combos. Best was the fresh, quality ingredients and toppings: fresh chopped dill in the tzatziki, caraway seed in the sauerkrat, marinated shredded cabbage and spicy sauce for the Korean BBQ. Lots of care taken and it shows. Can't wait for Thursday taco lunches! read more

I had this for lunch today, they were parked outside my building and I was delighted to see a food truck here for a change. I ordered the Peking and the Jamaican jerk tacos. I think its a bit on the pricey side $10 for two tacos, but the Jamaican one was pretty good the flavors blended well together it was a mixture of pineapple, red pepper, green pepper and the jerk chicken. The Peking however was very salty, i had trouble trying to finish it since it was so salty it was killing my tongue. The woman who helped me was very nice and friendly but I don't think I would get the tacos next time, I'd probably try the sandwiches. read more

Was going to lunch and so in the area the truck, line was not long and thought I give it a try. Ordered the 'The Figgy, No Piggy' (basically a nice grilled cheese sandwich). Paid $10.00 for the sandwich. The sandwich was okay, it was nothing special and I felt that it was not enough of a serving for what was paid (2 Stars for the food). The lady, and gentlemen in the truck were professional, and pleasant to say the least about their service (5 Stars for that). Thank you for the chat. I was a first timer today and really enjoyed my lunch. I tried: Korean BBQ - totally awesome. Love the Gochujang-based sauce and all ingredients worked well together Jamaican Jerk - pretty good. I was expecting more heat. The flavors didn't come together quite as well as the Korean, but still very good. I would love the option of corn tortillas instead of flour. As I've found at Mexican taco joints and trucks, it would keep together if served with two stacked corn tortillas. Also, seems to me that mixing the sauce in with the pulled pork a bit would make things come together a bit better, but that's just me. The pork stands well on it's own. Having said all that, I highly recommend. It met my price/enjoyment expectations. read more

Bright pink food truck outside UMD on Wednesdays...can't miss it! I usually get two of their tacos for $8. Since I'm Korean, I'm biased and always get their famed Korean BBQ tacos. (with corn tortillas). Comes with a generous portion of pulled pork that is tender and freshly made. slathered with crunchy cabbage, scallions, and most importantly, the Korean semi spicy/sweet sauce. My partner in crime thinks there should be kimchi to further complement the flavors, but I agree to disagree. tried the Peking taco too but just doesn't stack up to the Korean one. read more

I can see why b magazine called them Baltimore's best food truck. Of the 5 or so Food trucks we sampled at Taste of Two Cities, they were by far the best. I had the Korean taco, which, per my request, was served in a lettuce leaf. It was such a neat, easy to eat presentation! It was also delicious: the pork was really succulent and the slaw that came on top of it was really fresh tasting. Although my husband and I had agreed to share, I had a hard time handing it over! Also, suuuuuuuper friendly and accommodating service. Can't wait to try the Bavarian! Oh, yeah, and the tacos are big, so it is a really good deal. read more

Ran into these guys at one of the food truck events. My wife and I went with the Cheri-aki and the Peking pork. The combination of dried cherries (which surprisingly have a crisp to them) and pineapple combined with succulent pork made this a home run. The Peking style was very well executed, with fun crispy pieces as well that added nice texture and mouth feel. Very well done! read more

The lady at the window is so sweet and happy to answer any questions you may have. I was hesitant to order something I have never had before so I only ordered one taco. A bit pricey at $5 for 1 taco but good. I didn't like the sauce that I thought I would like (Peking) but that was just a taste preference not an issue with the taco. The Jolly Pig food truck, as the name implies, specializes in pulled pork. It seems they mainly serve it in taco form with a dozen different styles to choose from, but they were also offering a slider special on the day they stopped near my office. I ordered three different tacos to try them out. The first was the Carolina, which had crunchy cole slaw and a tangy Carolina style barbecue sauce. The sauce was very heavy on the vinegar, and really just wanted to drip out of the taco, making it very messy to eat. Guess that's what the fork and napkin are for. The Kung Pao taco came with peanuts, scallions and a Kung Pao sauce. KO sauce is pretty thick, so this one was the easiest to eat. There were so many peanuts on there I thought it was slathered with peanut butter. Combining that with pork made for an interesting taco indeed. I also ordered the Cheri-aki taco, which came with cherries and pineapple and a cherry sauce. I ordered it because it sounded like the strangest combination of all their tacos, but the fruit complemented the pork very well, the sweet meshing with the savory. Since it had fruit on it I saved for last (hey, dessert) but I nearly regretted that decision. The fruit is kept cold in the truck, so it will instantly start cooling down the taco when it is served, plus there was so much pineapple it wanted to spill out so again kind of hard to eat (again, the fork.) None of them were the best taco I've ever had, but they served as excellent delivery systems for some great pulled pork. read more

Overpriced. 2-taco lunch for $10. About 1 tablespoon of pulled pork on each taco. The pulled pork was mediocre at best, but at least put some in there! I was also charged 10.60 to my card, but the girl told me $10. I'm guessing that was the tax, but she should have quoted the total....misleading. First time customer, last time customer. read more
