Meat Lovers Pizza Pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, salami, ham, Italian sausage, American bacon.
Yun Ping C.

General: My friend and I were looking for gluten free dinner options that were open a bit later in the Glendale area when I stumbled upon this pizza place on yelp. My friend was a bit hesitant to try it since a lot of reviews were older and there was no menu, but we decided to give it a chance. Good thing we did! Menu is available online and that's where we ordered as well. Super easy process. We decided on the Large 16" 8 Slices meat lovers pizza with gluten free crust (ancient grains). The large meat lovers pizza was $31.52 but with the gluten free crust added an additional $6. It was $37.52 NOT including tax. Total came out to be $41.46 including tax. Food: The meat lovers pizza was absolutely delicious. Meat Lovers Pizza included pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, salami, ham, Italian sausage, and American bacon. am not gluten free and I was a bit apprehensive since sometimes the gf version of stuff isn't good but I was pleasantly surprised. My friend also really enjoyed it. Service: service was great. Online ordering was easy and convenient. It emails you when you first order and then sends another email that they're working on your pizza and the approximate time it'll be ready. We went to go pick it up and the gentleman asked for our name and grabbed it for us. He also gave us a small paper bag with paper plates, utensils, and napkins. Ambiance: ambiance is a chill pizza place. It's not very big and there's a couple booths. Good place for small fmilies or friends or casual date nights, but not for super large parties. Parking was easy but we went at about 9 PM and according to their hours they close at 9:30 PM. They did have designated pizza boy spots in the lot tho! Overall, my friend and I enjoyed this spot and would definitely come again for some gluten free pizza! My friend was also appreciative with all the gluten free options and I did notice on the pizza box it was stamped all over.

Good pizza with lots of options for dietary restrictions. We stopped here for a super quick bite and had a good experience. Excellent Service.

Calzone to-go box

Oh my! An absolute gluten-free paradise. I cannot believe I barely discovered this place yesterday. The GF calzone is the fluffiest (!!!) dough ever. My wife couldn't tell the difference from regular dough (she's the regular one; I'm the defective one, haha). The GF garlic knots are also so incredibly fluffy! Be warned: the garlic on these suckers is very authentic and not to be reckoned with. It's delicious but it will put some chest on your hair The marinara is very flavorful! Ingredients were all very high quality! We were promptly attended to by several of the staff/owners. They were very kind and attentive. Restrooms were well cared for and clean. They really seem to take seriously their gluten-free offerings and handling. It's part of their business model, not just a one-off gimmick to seem trendy. This is going on my gluten-free restaurant list that I will regularly patronize. Can't wait to try the other gluten-free apps and desserts and 8 (!!!) different GF pizza crusts. Thank you, Pizza Boy(s). Please don't ever go out of business.

Amazing Garlic cheese bread

This is the best gf cheese bread I have had! The bread was fluffy, crunchy on the outside and most in the middle! The cheese and garlic on top had the most perfect consistency and flavor! The chocolate cake is flourless which is perfect! It's rich and has the taste of perfect dark chocolate! The service was great! I asked about gf items and he told me his list! The ambiance is cute and quiet! I recommend you try this place!

3.5. Decided to try this place out since it was vegan. The guy at the register, didn't offer to help or ask if we had any questions. Ordered the avocado pizza on sweet potato crust and the spinach pizza on a almond flour crust. The crusts should have been swapped and I think the pizzas would have tasted better. There was no sauce on any of the pizzas which made it taste a little dry but eating it with ranch did help. Liked the crusts though - never even knew these options existed. They have a decent parking lot or you can park on the street.

gluten free garlic knots!

I'm pretty sure Pizza Boy's gluten free garlic knots changed the trajectory of my life. I don't think I've ever been able to have a garlic knot prior to today? I'm a lifelong celiac, and this is the closest thing to the real deal. We got pizzas too and they offered what felt like unlimited choices. So many crust options, so many different pizza varieties. All perfectly fluffy with a slight crunch. My partner who isn't gluten free and is a cook was also so impressed with the quality of gluten free pizza here. This is Celiac Heaven!

It's like a cheesy hot pocket but a million times better!!!! Must try! Ughhh. ..I'm addicted!

Amazing Armenian pizza. Basil. Fresh tomatoes. Feta cheese. No marinara. Light and tasty. Warm up in toaster next day and just as tasty.

Overpriced! Every single topping whether it is on pizza or Ajarski khachapuri, they charge extra! For two we end up paying $96.

Ask the Community - Pizza Boy

Hi are you open I'm calling no one is answering? I've waited since 9 since your opening 9:30am no one is answering its 9:43?

orders are online only!

Do you use a separate oven for gluten-free pizza?

I have celiac and I'm really sensitive. This place knows what they're doing with gf. I've only had the gf flour crust, none of the alternatives.

What vegan cheese do they use?

Follow Your Heart!

Hi are you guys open now? No one has been answering the phones?

Yes open!!

What are the ingredients in the cauliflower crust?

I just spoke with the manager today and he said flax and water (like a flax egg) plus cauliflower. The flax will make it crispy. I know it seems hard to imagine there are only 3 ingredients. It’s soooo good!

Um, what?! How is this vegan?! Whatever meat alternative they used, the texture was perfect. Also amazing seasonings and sauces. It was packed with flavor and lots of veggies. And it was super filling, too! I also grabbed a coconut water cause I need my electrolytes. I took my meal to-go, but kind of regretted it because the inside is so cute! Retro diner chic. Counter stools. Tiled floors. Adorbs. Also, the staff was super helpful and very attentive even though I was doing take-out. Just a five-star experience all around. Not sure if My Vegan - Eagle Rock is affiliated with any of it's fellow former relative (in name) locations like the former My Vegan Studio (in Studio City) or once My Vegan Gold (in Silverlake) but it definitely is for twining, no doubts needed with it's sib in Pasadena. If you don't know, My Vegan - ER is a thriving gem on Colorado Blvd, not to far from that groovy Trader Joe's and other local favorites. It's got a cool cornerside entrance off Argus Drive giving it a residential meets city blend in a trendy plaza parking lot. The dishes are 10/10 for dine in, but apparently just as amazing for takeout! My special someone and I take turns making dinner, but he was very much tired from a long work day so we said hey let's order out and we settled on My Vegan and we're really glad we did. Their Pad Thai is an instant and flavorful favorite of my guys and while many of their appetizers, such as the Impossible Fries, Fried Tofu, Vegetable Dumplings and Soy Chicken Drumstick (w/ Buffallo or BBQ please) to name a few also called out to me... I settled on their epic Supreme Fried Rice A delicious blend of fried brown rice, soy shrimp, soy chicken, soy beef, tofu, onions, peas, scallions, garlic, tomatoes and carrots. All the portions here are big - so much so we both had leftovers for lunch the next day (which hold up great). Between the soups, salads, noodle dishes, rice plates, sides, burgers, breakfast items, house specialities, and a la carte it can be hard to settle on a dish or two, but you can't go wrong with just about anything. Do try the Yellow Noodle Curry, Angry Pork and Tom Kah for sure. Good beverages as well. Some limited but thoughtful dessert options, spacious seating and modern layout. Zhengyalov Hatz

The Art of the Singular Obsession: Why Zhengyalov Hatz is Glendale's Most Focused Masterpiece…read more------- There's a specific kind of anxiety that comes with opening a menu that reads like a telephone book. When a kitchen tries to make pizza, sushi, and a passable club sandwich all at once, they usually fail at all three. Give me a specialist. Give me someone who wakes up every morning, stares at a single dish, and spends their entire life chasing perfection. Tucked away at 318 E Broadway in Glendale, Zhengyalov Hatz is exactly that kind of sanctuary. They don't have a menu so much as a mission statement. They make one thing. One single, spectacular, fiercely guarded Armenian culinary tradition. And they do it so perfectly that the Michelin Guide had no choice but to take notice. // The Vibe and the Craft // You walk in, and the air hits you immediately--the unmistakable, primal scent of hot griddles and a massive volume of fresh herbs. The clean-lined, minimalist space is centered entirely around a simple walk-up counter, but don't let the efficiency fool you; the greeting you receive the second you step up is instantly warm and genuine. There are no secrets here. You watch as seasoned hands work the dough, rolling out delicate, paper-thin sheets, burying them under an impossibly large mountain of finely chopped greenery, and folding them into tight parcels on the hot griddles. It's a beautiful, well-oiled operation where a steady stream of locals are constantly in and out, clutching take-out boxes filled with their greenly miracles. // The Main Event: The Namesake // The dish is the Zhengyalov Hatz, and when it arrives hot off the griddle, blistered, slightly charred in places, and absolutely steaming, it is a revelation. You bite through that crisp, yielding dough into a dense, vibrant green lining of over a dozen different varietals--spinach, scallions, sorrel, beet leaves, and herbs you probably couldn't name if you tried. It shouldn't be this complex, but it is. It hits every corner of the palate: it's sharp, it's sour, it's earthy, and deeply, viscerally satisfying. Even if you're a devout carnivore, this plant-forward flatbread demands your absolute respect. It's a complete meal wrapped in a charred, unleavened embrace. In fact, the last time I walked through those doors, I had to buy two orders just for myself. It really is that good. (Pro tip: have them slide a pat of butter in there to melt down into the hot greens. Don't overthink it, just do it.) // The Supporting Cast // Because they only make one main dish, deciding what to order takes about three seconds. To wash it down, you get the Okroshka--a cold, tangy yogurt drink punched up with dill and cucumber. It serves as the perfect, refreshing counter-hook to the warm, earthy flatbread. To finish, grab a square of their Paxlava (baklava). It's built with flaky phyllo and ground nuts, offering just a light crust and a sweetness that doesn't overpower the palate. // The Verdict // In a culinary landscape obsessed with "more"--more options, more fusion, more noise--Zhengyalov Hatz is a masterclass in "less." They have bet their entire existence on the power of a single, flawless creation, and they absolutely nail it. It's authentic, it's unpretentious, and it is a mandatory stop. Go early before they sell out, eat it hot, and remember what it tastes like when people actually give a damn about their heritage.

I really enjoy the authenticity of this place, and they've recently opened their second location in…read moreNorth Hollywood. I've come here a few times for their Zhengyalov hats, but once I found out they also make lahmajun, I had to try it. Let me tell you, it is some of my absolute favorite lahmajun. I definitely recommend it, but be warned, they are massive, so there's no need to over order.
