I used to really enjoy coming to This bar till I found out how rude the staff are they are very unprofessional!!! One of the wanna be cool bouncer dude accused me of trying to hit a staff member last time and saying I can't come in and i wasn't even the same person after another staff member told him it wasnt me! Yea it's cool they have half off drinks on Monday but you can get that at any other bar! I suggest u get rid of the rude ass staff and hire more friendly professional staff and maybe people would like to come back to this bar! read more

The skinny bar tender who usually works during the day, has a beard and doesn't smile much SUCKS!!! He looks lost handling more than 3 people at the time and puts on a shit face when you attempt to order. I would kick his ass out of there If I were the owners. Not good for business. This place can be a lot better. It is on a great location and the actual venue is nice. There are other bar tenders there that know their shot and give pleasant service, I wish I knew their names. I love Pixels! I have been there several times with my husband, friends, and family. There is good music on Thursday nights and for those who complain about bar service, please keep in mind the bar does get very crowded. If you open a tab it is a little faster. Just be patient. One of my favorite bars in downtown riverside! I find myself at pixels at least a couple times a month if not more. The bartenders are great people and usually help me fast when they see me at the bar. If you're looking for a mellow atmosphere come during the day and if you're looking for more of a party atmosphere come Thursday through Sunday after 10:30. The night crew is horrible. The security guard kicked me out and told other customers that if they hand me anything they will be kicked out also. He took my full drink and put it outside like if I was going to get it after he took it away from me. I asked for an explanation for his actions, he couldn't give me an answer. Love this place! I've been a loyal customer for years and never thought this place needed a review (they're that awesome!!) however today I decided to write one. The friendly bartenders, drinks are always on point, the food is affordable and full of flavor (try their hot dogs!), and lastly the atmosphere has always been positive. However, last night was truly uncomfortable. I was with some friends and I had left my wallet and phone by the window. So while my friends walked outside to the patio, I fell behind. This creepy guy who had been bothering me all night refused to take No for an answer. As I was walking outside to join my friends on the patio, he groped me from behind and placed his hands on my breasts. I couldn't get his hands off of me! I started crying and kicking. Mike the security guard was alert, saw the situation and rushed toward me. He got the man's hands off of me. He asked me if I was ok.. I told him what had happened and he said I didn't need to explain because he saw everything. He calmly talked to the man and kicked him out. I sincerely appreciate this so much and will continue coming to this establishment. I felt safe and taken care of last night. Ladies, I can attest to the fact that the securities will help you out if you need it. One bad experience doesn't spoil all the good times I've had here. Dear Pixels, By the time you read this I will be lying facedown in a puddle of my own vomit. Probably in the alley by Pixels (check for my body, please). That's not to say anything negative about my longtime favorite establishment. Probably one of my favorite bars since the 80's. I think- I can't remember much nowadays. If anything the service is *too* good. You can get blasted here for a price that suits the budget of any chronic drinker without a job. Hell, they keep the drinks rolling damn fast too- fast enough that you don't lose your buzz between drinks. I remember some crazy nights that all started at Pixels. This one time, me and a few buddies got so hammered, we went out and rented a monkey. The thing was, this monkey had a leaning towards... his own type, let's say, and once Ol' Gary past out, that chimp was going for his bits like a dog after giblets! Or maybe that was in Seattle. Can't remember. Unfortunately, we lost Gary to a needle in his arm a few years after that. Drinking hash;t been the same since. At least Pixels brings some of the magic of getting so sloshed you puke on your shirt and fill your boxers with diarrhea back, And for that I give ya four stars, Pixels. Minus one star on account of Rufus dying of alcohol poisoning that one night after partying at your establishment. Keep going strong, at least as long as my liver is. But we figured it out after sitting there for for 10-15 minutes while bartenders walked past us..looked at us....and said nothing!!!!!....2nd... bartenders need a serious attitude adjustment...chill out...It's a Saturday night and ur bartending....please smile. I just have to mention this... ever since posting this their employees are harassing me on here and social media being extremely rude (I have proof) Let's leave this in the hands of the big boys; the BBB. Absolutely horrible establishment. They have no idea in regards to customer loyalty as business owners. I have been going to pixels since back when they first opened and started going to aura vista once they opened that establishment. They did not let my fiancé and I in because I was wearing an "Adidas jumpsuit". I saw the owner and approached her immediately very kindly about not being let in and she said "yes, you cannot wear this attire tonight" ...what does "tonight" mean? I've worn the same exact outfit matching with my fiancé and have been let in before; Talk about racism especially in today's epidemic ...I will make sure to tell everybody that I know not to come here anymore. You cannot screen individuals and discriminate who is walking into an establishment. That in itself is called racist/ bias. (Just so individuals are aware I am a Sicilian/ Russian woman whom this situation occurred to) Off-topic and irrelevant to what just happened to my fiancé and I; however, has anyone ever seen a Hispanic or African American bartender at either of their establishments (not that they own aura vista because as a business owner myself I KNOW FOR FACT they do not own that location) ... kind of feeling racist vibes now that I think about it. Get some REAL money and actually own your property. I OWN everything MY establishment run out of. HATER. Do not come here at all. This club is fun and you can have different experiences depending on the day and time you visit. Prices are fair. Local artwork is on display, a lot of which is surprising and impressive. Staff are super-nice when they have time. They are efficient when they are busy. Service is typical of a local downtown bar, which this is, not a Denny's, which this is not. Vegans: Pixels will veganize your avocado tacos if you ask them to. You pay by the taco. They are terrific. They can do vegan sliders if you point out that the bread can be changed. read more
