They are attentive and work as fast as they can. I have come here plenty of times and it's always a great time. One of my friends got kicked out so they decided to kick out our whole party even tho the rest of us didn't do anything and once we were outside I tried to go back in to grab one of my other friends that didn't know we all got kicked out and the bouncer didn't let me and they started shoving me back and making threats. This place is the best club/bar in Riverside. I've first come here in 2013 and ever since then I've been a loyal customer. For one... They charge no cover on all nights, you would think this is a bad thing but the staff is nice and friendly to the point where you want to give tips. This is good if you want some entertainment on a budget. The food is amazing, this is literally the best bar food I've ever had. Restaurant quality and innovative, especially their avocado tacos. The drinks are high quality and good, they know every cocktail on the block. Margaritas, vodka and red bull, gin and juice. Just name it, they also have alot of craft beers, especially in tall bottles. Stone, Rogue, Modern Times, you name it. Every night is a surprise. You got hipster DJ mixes on Monday. A wide selection of karaoke on Tuesdays. Even video club experiences on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Best part about Wednesdays and Sundays is that their local and unique. Name one club that has consistent bands and video games. Only at Pixels baby. They recently renovated it. The renovations are minor but well worth it. The walls are wooden, the wallpaper is flashier, there are more TVs and best of all, everything looks future chic. Plus they got everything in HD now so that's a plus. Downside is that the drinks/food are pricy but hey, this is quality stuff. If you're concerned about price, draw a mustache on Monday. Half off everything drink related. Went during the week and it was dead. There were two female bartenders and one man sitting at the bar. I went in with my friend and sat at a booth while my friend went to the restroom. I waited my friend came and sat down waited some more but the two female bartenders were too busy flirting with the guy to come over and provide any customer service. No water nothing. I have been to this bar SEVERAL times with no issues. Always good music and good drinks. But tonight was a different story. 3/17/19 we decided to come here for a late st Patty's day celebration, and the DJ was the biggest asshole I have ever met. When we first walked in, I requested a song and the DJ told me to come back to him as soon as the band was done playing to remind him, so i did....once the band stopped at about 11:30, I walked back up to the DJ in the BLACK "MISFITS" shirt and reminded him I wanted to hear a song. He immediately screamed at me and told me to "get the fuck away from him" , I was HUMILIATED, and asked him why he was screaming at me. He had no other response but to continue to yell at me. I walked away, still not understanding what I did wrong. I dont know if he felt like he was better than me because I was a woman, or the fact that he thought he was tiesto, which he is not. (He is a shitty DJ) either way, you dont EVER talk to a customer that way. Until managament is willing to make this right, DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!! Giving it to you straight. Pixels is a great place to come and have drinks. I say this due to all of their weekly drink specials. I Have been to pixels many times. However security is super rude pretty much all the time. BEWARE, I think security has it in their minds that they are apart of the Riverside police department or something. The manager needs to get a hold of this quickly. I went on a Thursday night. I had an amazing time.The only problem was when I went to go get my ID checked in, the male security literally looked at my ID and in the rudest wannabe police tone. He said "I've never seen you, ID now". Like dude, you don't have to be so mean. That was not cool. Then the lady security went through my purse as if I had some type of drug or weapon on me. Literally it felt like she was digging in my purse for gold. I've never seen security look through my purse so vividly. I actually didn't feel safe. As if she might steal something in my purse. I felt extremely violated. I do understand that there are people who probably do those things. However you do not have to make everyone feel like they are one of those people. This needs to be stopped. Security you are not cops relax.Other than that, this place is awesome. Bartenders are cool. They have awesome music videos playing around in the back. I have lived in Riverside all of my life. I love downtown for the people and the charm it offers to the city. When Pixels first appeared, I raised an eyebrow. From the modern colorful sign protruding from the building, I wasn't sure if it was a bar, a strip club or dance club. I passed the place a several times and it is always seemed empty. The handful of people that were inside were sitting at tables and eating. One Monday, my brother (age 20 turning 21 this month) and I were in the area and looking for a place to eat. We enter this "Pixels" to try the food. The white board on a stand at the entrance outside said "Mustache Monday" . When we walked in, again about 5-6 people at the bar to the left and empty tables to the right. My brother and I walk to the tables on the right. A heavy set man comes to us and asks us for our id's. Then I immediately knew it was "21 and over" and I asked the man just to confirm. He instantaneously copped an attitude with me and said "Yes, the sign is posted at the front of the door". As my brother and I were walking to exit, I stated "I am sorry, we did't see it." He followed us out as if we were trying to sneak into their empty "bar" and pull a fast one on them, which was not the case at all. He then shows me a sign to the right of the door and says "It's posted right there." I tried to explain that my attention when entering was on the white marker board at the door. He walked away in the middle of my sentence. Again, I have lived in Riverside my entire 30 years of life and never in downtown has anyone treated me with such tactlessness . His condescending mannerism and down right rudeness was unneccessary. In two weeks my brother will turn of age but we will never return and I will suggest that my friends and family do not either. If the few potential customers that enter are treated this way, this new establishment, this new bar or restaurant, whatever they are trying to be; will not prove successful. Went to pixels last night with a couple of friends. Service is not friendly but mostly because they are busy (I'm guessing). They charged me $68 for 4 beverages.... INSANE. If I had to guess, the cups are probably 8oz which is TINY. Although I asked for them all to be doubles, any bar or restaurant you go to will charge you for a floater which usually ranges from $3-$6 depending on the location. This bar decided to charge me for double the drinks. They didn't give me a larger size or two actual drinks and they definitely shouldn't be charging $17 for a drink, double or not. Vegas doesn't even charge such a ridiculous amount.. The owner Lynette addressed my issue and she had no problem charging a customer $17 for ONE drink. I can guarantee I will never return to this location and I would not recommend it unless you want to empty your wallet. read more

Very upset with this establishment, tried to get in but shortly after getting cleared by the bouncer. My friend, who was a lazy eye, and has his ID picture that also shows it. He was denied access because of it. The bouncer said he was too drunk even though he had no signs of being drunk. When we confronted him about it he said just look at the way he is, not trying to direct it to his lazy eye. After we told him he was discriminating our friend due to his physical feature, he kicked all of us out. I wanted a night of dancing so my friend suggested this place. We went on a Sat night around 10 p.m. No cover, no long line to get in, AND best of all, no waiting. Parking was a bit of a pain but that's typical. We parked in the parking structure instead of the streets but hey, it was free too. The dj played hip hop and I was able to dance to it. You get to take your drinks on the dance floor too! I had a fun night. A few ladies bumped my friend's drink a few times but other than that, the place wasn't too crowded, no smell of 420, and the guys weren't jerks trying to grab you or dance with you from behind. When running a business it's very important to make sure the customers are happy. I chose to visit here Thursday night. I've came here quite a few times and witnessed the People who checked the I.Ds at the door be rude and aggressive towards other people but never with me so I never cared to much about it. Now I understand that they deal with drunk people often but they are decision makers and they decided to work around drunk people which is their own fault. But all I asked about is dress code and I'm assuming that he didn't like it a gentlemen with a beard short with a hat. Just dismissed me and the kid me I wasn't welcome.
