I got a crepe with gelato; although it said two flavors were included they offered me three small scoops for some reason, which still wasn't a ton. Honestly just getting the basic gelato in a cone with or without a chocolate or a macaron is better. The location has two floors, and you won't hear the honking so much upstairs. Service left something to be desired; I don't begrudge anyone who works for a living but it was not as high-caliber of an experience as I've had at other Amorinos. It also matters that this isn't the best ice cream in DC or even in Georgetown, and we have local gelato as well.

Totally inexperienced with ice and snow, I thought it would be ok. Ended up getting stuck there - tried hacking at the ice under the tires to get some traction for 30 minutes but still couldn't make it up the hill. Google search said putting some sand / salt / cat litter under the tires could help and I walked into Amorino hoping to get some salt and try that. The 2 staff who were in there were glad to help, I got about 4 cups of salt from them and spread it under the front tires, and was finally freed from my predicament. THANK YOU so much! Definitely will come back and get gelato with my friends when it gets warm.

We walked up and tried to find line, asked a couple people, and were basically told there were two lines. So I got in the shortest one, of course! Right before I got to the counter to order the employee says to me "You are not in line. They are not in line," as if trying to call us out and shame us like we cut in line. We definitely didn't--and definitely didn't do it intentionally if we did. After that, I said "no thanks, we don't want anything. I don't appreciate being treated that way." I was sad to not get ice cream and even sadder to be treated so poorly. Owner Jason apparently overheard and came and talked to us as we left. I explained the situation and he agreed the line was confusing. He offered me and my friend ice cream cones on the house and I was not only incredibly grateful to be validated about the line, but also grateful to see how much this owner cares about his customer's experiences. A few of my favorites over the years have been their hibiscus sorbet -- a delightful dairy-free addition to their Hispanic Heritage Month flavors that is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet -- the cinnamon cardamom -- a super spiced ice cream that, despite being freezing cold, feels like you're about to drink a warm beverage -- and blueberry sour cream crumble. When I'm feeling less adventurous, they also have a really solid strawberry ice cream that uses real berries (none of that artificial nonsense you see in grocery stores) with a delightful fruity, slightly tangy flavor. There's usually a pretty long line, but it moves quite quickly since they don't allow samples. It's also a small space that gets crowded pretty easily, so I'd recommend taking your ice cream to go and enjoying it as you walk around Mt Pleasant or on the benches just below the entrance to Mount Desert.

I decided to go with their blueberry lemonade, passion fruit, and virgin mojito and WOW. When I say this was the perfect mix I wholeheartedly mean that. The blueberry lemonade and passion fruit tasted so fresh while the mint in the virgin mojito added to it perfectly making it a much needed refreshing treat. The cup was $8 and I got two scoops of each flavor. Worth it and I'll surly be visiting again!
