There's no way to describe Pipetechs' work other than outstanding. Originally, I had contracted with them to get my entire sewer line replaced and a city-side clean-out valve installed. When their crew began excavating my driveway to replace the pipe, they inadvertently damaged my neighbor's old terra cotta sewer line which ran parallel to and just 6 inches from my galvanized iron sewer pipe. (This was an unforeseeable accident as sewer lines emanating from 2 separate houses don't normally run alongside each other in one driveway.) This was an unusual scenario likely stemming from the fact we live in a historic neighborhood where many houses are 100 years old or more and originally built without plumbing. When sewer lines were added some 90 years ago, contractors came up with their own designs which clearly no longer meet today's requirements. What was even more unusual was that our respective lines merged into one pipe that flowed into the same sewer lateral, a configuration which also does not meet current code. Needless to say, this necessitated a change in the scope of the work, an additional commitment of time for Pipetechs' crew, a permit and an inspection, things I felt certain would raise the cost of the job. Not only did they replace my neighbor's terra cotta pipe and install a clean-out valve for her (as well as for me) for a nominal cost, they did not bill me extra for the additional work they incurred on my behalf. In other words, the invoice matched the estimate they originally quoted me. I was also impressed that the owner of the company, Dale Nichols, came to the job site to oversee that the job was done correctly and well. That level of integrity was reflected in the work ethic and attitude of Pipetech's entire staff. Everyone I dealt with at Pipetechs was courteous, responsive, and diligently conscientious, qualities which reassured me I had made the right decision in hiring them for this job. I was very impressed with Pipetechs. Every person I dealt with was friendly, professional, and polite. Communication was great. The work was perfect and the price was more than fair. My next door neighbor and I had sewer lines that were running only 6 inches from one another and then converged into a single pipe before leaving her property and entering the city pipe. None of of knew about this until Pipetechs accidently damaged my pipe while digging up my neighbor's pipe. Since both of us were having drainage problems, I already knew I'd be in for an expensive repair when I could save up enough money for it. But, because of the accidental discovery, Pipetechs charged me only the cost of materials and replaced most of my sewer line, and installed two clean-out valves and a backflow preventer! I feel like this was more than fair, given that it would have had so much more expense if they hadn't already opened up the ditch for my neighbor. And even so, I can imagine many companies would not have been so generous. I will use Pipetechs for future plumbing needs. Pipetechs sent Steve Ransom shortly after I called our Emergency phone number because of an overflow in a clogged up drain in one of our condo community laundry rooms. Was so happy he showed up so quickly because the stagnant water stunk so bad, and my unit is right next to it! He did a great with his equipment to unclog that drain and he even removed all the puddled water from the laundry room. Have to wait til Monday morning for the place to be sanitized by another company. I would highly recommend Pipetechs if you want fast good service. I give PipeTechs high marks. We had an underground water leak. (This is one of their specialties.) Their tech quy came out, we surveyed the problem, made a determination of where the leak was. He then proposed the least-expensive way treating the problem, which was to lay a new line coming into the house at a different spot. They insulated the line, contacted the city inspector, and returned very soon after the inspection was complete. They were prompt and easy to deal with. They replanted grass when they were finished and even hauled away some tree roots they had to dig up. All this for what we thought was a very reasonable price. Called HomeServ for a problem with my water heater. They first set me up with t company that had a 1.5 out of 5 rating. These guys are awesome! We needed to have our bathroom restored because of a leak from a toilet that was installed incorrectly by the builder. Not only Pipetechs come out & remove the toilet for a great price, but they also recommended a very competent contractor to do the restoration. The Pipetech plumber took his time on the new install, even making sure that he had the proper materials and spacer needed to put the new toilet in on top of the new tile. Have a pipe leak in the ceilings of the dining room and the floor got wet, called the 1800 water damage and they refer me to Pipe Tech. They called back within an hour and the plumber show up shortly after half an hour, immediately went to work, he located the pipe immediately and replaced it and cleaned it up within an hour.
