I suspected that my washing machine drain was clogged, and the technicians from Joseph Rose Plumbing took care of the issue within just a few hours. They were very professional and courteous, and they spoke to me in a way I could understand. Also, I interacted with a member of their team for scheduling and she was great to work with as well. read more

I contacted Joseph Rose plumbing in Durham, North Carolina about three plumbing problems I was having. They scheduled to come by my house at 1 PM on Monday. By about 1:45 they had not arrived. I called the company, but no one answered. I left a phone message. I was called back in a couple of hours and, and the secretary/scheduler informed me that the job they were on was taking longer than expected. She then asked me if they could reschedule for tomorrow. I stated that that was not convenient for me. I finally relented and agreed to meet them on Tuesday. If I recall, the one technician was about 30-45 minutes late. She informed me that she had not been told about fixing the lack of shower hot water or about cleaning the mold out of our faucets but had only been told about cleaning the water heater! She arrived and started to flush the water heater. She then informed me that her new water pump that she needed for that job was defective and kept tripping the circuit breaker. She asked me if she could come back the next day at 8:30 AM! This was early for me in terms of usually sleeping longer, but I agreed in order to get the ordeal finished. She came with a young helper, and they completed the work. Rose appeared to be competent and, furthermore, she communicated well with me which was an appreciated change from her handler/scheduler. She and I talked about the benefit of the whole house water filter. She stated that she would get some information and send a proposal. That never happened. As you can gather, there are two significant problems with Joseph Rose plumbing, according to my experience with them. One is the absence of adequate and efficient communication, and the other is a lack of follow-up on what they say they will do. read more

Another great experience with Joseph Rose Plumbing. Water started bubbling up from underneath our lawn right behind the city meter. After the city came and turned off the water, I called Joseph Rose Plumbing at about 3 pm and they arrived about 4 pm. They dug up a small area where the leak had been and found that a pipe from our lawn irrigation system had failed. They fixed the problem, filled in the hole, and we had our water back on in a few hours. They took a situation that could have been a major headache and turned it into a hiccup for us. Thank you Joseph Rose Plumbing! read more

We hired Joseph Rose Plumbing to replace our hot and cold water valves under our kitchen sink and to adjust our water pressure in our home. At the time, we also need a new water heater and asked them to give us an estimate for a new gas tankless water system while they were here. The two guys who showed up to do the work, were very professional, thorough and efficiant. The work that we hired them for was excellent and the cost to do this work was excellent - they were here for a couple of hours to complete the work and give us an estimate and charged us only $265. Another plumbing (Brown Brothers) company we hired to to adjust our water pressure (ONLY) a 7 months ago - were here for only 15-minutes and lowered our high water pressure way too low, charged us almost $500 - and it took them 7 months to bill us. Do not hesitate to hire Joseph Rose Plumbing for your work at your home. Also, I would like to add that the Joseph Rose technicians took pictures of ALL the work they did - before and after - and these were all included in their emailed invoice. That said, while Joseph Rose's estimate for a new gas tankless system came in a couple of thousand dollars LESS than the lowest estimate we recieved from other companies, we were very nervous about hiring them for this particular work because they didn't mention anything about pulling a city permit for the work. At the end of our discussion - the guy told us that they don't pull permits - this is the responsibility of the homeowner. He said you want us to pull a city permit for the work, it would cost $500, but a permit isn't required (for new installs and like-like-replacements). At the time I didn't realize that a city permit only costs $65 and the this work 100% requires a permit to be pulled. I found this out when I emailed Durham City inspectors to inquire. When I emailed Joseph Rose Plumbing why we were not hiring them for this job, they responded with "We install lots of gas tankless water heaters without pulling permits". Ethan did respond to my email to let me know that his office manager was new/still learning and misunderstood. If you are having plumbing work that requires a city permit - look elsewhere, none of the three other companies who gave us estimates required the customer to pull their own city permit for the work - let alone charge $500 if you wanted them to pull a permit. The $65 permit fee was worked into all other estimate invoices - we never even saw the fee. read more

Well, I have to say, Ethan at Joseph Rose Plumbing has really done right by us. We had a miscommunication at the onset, and after clearing up the details, I am truly pleased with the commitment to excellent customer service and satisfaction that they have exhibited. I am sure that if you hire them, they will take care of the job and do so in a professional and considerate manner. Nobody is perfect in this world, but you are fortunate when you find someone that will stand behind their word and who is willing to make a concerted effort to take care of their customer. Joseph Rose Plumbing has done so for my family, and I am happy to recommend their services. read more

Great service at a reasonable cost. They did a great job and I will be using them again.

Did quality work for me but ghosted me after contacting the company for an additional job.

Joseph Rose Plumbing is our go-to company for all things plumbing. Fair prices and excellent work. They replaced our main home shutoff valve a while back and a hard-to-get-to gate valve for our new dishwasher just recently. Highly recommended! read more

Good experience. Willing to negotiate (within reason), installed a new water heater the next day. I could tell he knew what he was doing which these days is getting pretty rare. Job looks professionally executed. Be advised he is a one man show so don't expect any immediate response when contacting. But I would say better a slow response from a good outfit than a speedy response from a bad one. read more

My my my I can't say it enough how pleased I am from the service provided by Joseph Rose Plumbing, specially Ethan! He really made the entire process from start to finish east to follow and helped provide tips and tricks to make the life of my water heater last longer. He also helped me with the lining beneath the water heater to prevent water from seeping into my walls. Back story: my old water heater started leaking and I noticed that there was also mold starting to grow around my water heater on the wall. I was in a panic because I didn't know how I could take care of all the tasks at once but Ethan from Joseph Plumbing was able to get the job done and now I'm a happy camper with some hot water just in time for the season. Looking forward to this new chapter with my newly installed water heater I highly recommend Joseph Rose Plumbing, trust me when I say you will be so happy. They definitely have future service with me. read more

Quick, efficient, and responsive. Did a great jobs replacing our old toilet. Scheduled through yelp.

We have had great experience with Joseph Rose Plumbing on multiple occasions. They first replaced a 10 year old water heater that suddenly burst. Super fast response and great work. While they were over we had them look at some issues we were having with our bathtub so they came by later that week to take care of that. Really glad we found these folks and happy to work with them again. read more

I called Joseph Rose and spoke with Ethan who was super professional and helpful. I had an issue with a toilet in my T-Mobile store and I was told they could be out the next day. Not even 10 minutes later Ethan informed me that they could actually make it our same day. Carcamo came by a few hours later and did a fantastic job repairing our toilet leak. Great price, great responsive team, great business! I will definitely be using them for my future services. read more

Excellent same day service. My well pressure tank switch went out and pipes froze leaving me with no water on Christmas. Ethan from Joseph Rose Plumbing returned my email right away and was at my house a few hours later (The only response I received after calling 10 plumbers). He inspected all of the plumbing, water pressure tank, and the well and then diagnosed the problem and replaced a burnt out pressure switch. Excellent communication, pricing, and customer service. I highly recommend this young man and Joseph Rose Plumbing. read more

These guys are great. They show up on time and are very knowledgeable. I would recommend them without reservation. A bunch of faucets quit working, and since the temperature had just dropped to 8 degrees, we figured they'd frozen. These folks picked up the phone at 9:30am on Christmas Eve and were here by 10:45. They inspected the pipes, found nothing was burst, charged an entirely reasonable service fee, and gave us a couple tips to help them warm up a bit more quickly. Quick, easy, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'm calling them next time I have a problem. read more

I can't say enough good things about Joseph Rose plumbing - these guys are the best! We were in the process of selling our home and someone touring our house noticed our water heater was leaking. We were out of the country when we received this news, but knew we needed to address the issue immediately. I contacted Joseph Rose based off the Google and Yelp reviews I read and am so relieved I did so. They came out the next day and installed a new water heater for us. Their communication throughout the entire process and attention to detail are second to none. Their prices are extremely fair too. I have since called them out to take care of two separate issues in my home and have received the same top-notch care each time. Can't recommend these guys enough!! read more

2 weeks ago we decided to FINALLY add a new fridge water line, and got a few quotes and recommendations. Joseph Rose responded to my quote request online quickly, and we schedule a stop by for a quote for our project. Though there was a small miscommunication as to when they were able to come out - it ended up fine and they were able to come out the next day. They quickly looked at our layout, laid out the options, and sent along a quote a few hours later. They ended up having the best and very reasonable quote, and the quickest response time so we easily accepted the quote online and scheduled a time to come out which ended up being just a few days later. I also liked that they texted to keep us up to date as to when their technicians would be out etc. They did come about an hour past the scheduled time, but in these scenarios I know appointments can run long and it's sometimes hard to be exact so that didn't bother us and I think is pretty par for the course. The guy came in, was friendly, considerate, communicated well, and got the new water line added (which involved drilling a few holes, and uninstalling and reinstalling our dishwasher) quickly, efficiently and left no trace of dust/debris when done. Even moved our fridge and hooked it up and tested it. It's been a few days and the water line is great, no issues, AND they warranty their work for a year, so i'm not worried if on the off chance something needs to be adjusted. Definitely recommend them for your plumbing needs. read more

When our shower head pipe broke off behind the wall, we got no answer and no callback for days from two previously trusted plumbers. Then I found Joseph Rose's great reviews online. I was shocked when someone picked up the phone late on a Saturday afternoon and scheduled a plumber for that Tuesday. (It wasn't an emergency.) Ethan was able to fix the problem in less than 1/2 hour without cutting into the wall, which we had expected. He also added some missing caulking and even replaced our shower head with one he had in his truck, all within the one-hour labor cost. And he couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Note: We did have to wait 4 hours from the scheduled arrival time, but he called to tell us he had an emergency job and asked if we wanted him to show up in the evening or the next day. We chose the evening. Of course, we weren't happy about the extra wait. But afterwards, we realized we'd rather wait a few hours for an excellent plumber who responds quickly to emergency calls. That could be us someday! read more

I did get a text response within an hour. However, after scheduling to come to my home the following day, no one called, texted, or showed up for the appointment. I texted to find out what was happening but never received a reply. read more

We are so grateful to the folks at Joseph Rose Plumbing. We came back from Christmas out of town to find a spigot was broken and gushing water. I called him at 4 pm and he came out by 6:30 and had the problem solved by 8 pm (new spigot). There was no extra charge for an emergency fee either. He was professional and enthusiastic about his job. In talking to him, I learned that he is just starting out his own business after being an apprentice and working for other local companies. The man wants to work! Please consider using him and giving this entrepreneur a boost, he will come evenings, weekends and holidays as he strives to build his brand. He told me he really enjoys helping people-and it shows in his attitude and work ethic. Our spigot works perfectly and I sleep better at night, knowing we will have no more surprises. Bought an old house that needed a ton of repairs - sinks installed, showers worked on, toilets, spouts... basically everything and anything plumbing related we needed. Ethan with Joseph Rose responded quickly, gave us a free estimate, and his pricing was also the best priced from multiple estimates. Organized, efficient, communicative, professional and honest. Can't really ask for anything more. Felt very safe with him alone as a woman too which is very important too. Great service - highly recommended read more

My plumber of 25 years passed away and I was at a loss as to how to find a replacement for someone who was almost like family. Luckily, I saw the great reviews posted for Joseph Rose Plumbing and I gave them a call. They came the next day to replace a house water filter and fix a broken faucet. They were friendly, polite and efficient. They listened closely and agreed to send me a reminder when my filter is next due for replacement. The invoice was emailed and payment made online. The whole process was easy and pleasant. I highly recommend Joseph Rose Plumbing for any plumbing needs. I will certainly call them again when needed. read more

Then I submitted a query online to Joseph Rose, Ethan responded my question almost in two minutes, and my problem is fixed in the same day! Joseph Rose plumbing provided excellent service at a fair price. I had another company come out prior ( as they would not quote anything over the phone not even ballpark figures) and give me a bid that was ridiculously high. No way would I go with them so I paid them the $92 service call to tell me they were a joke, though that $92 would have gone towards the job had I been foolish enough to accept it. JRP quoted a price over the phone which was $300 less than the previous company. Joseph Rose Plumbing was clean, conscientious and thorough and they saved me a boatload of money.
