He installed the sink and went on his way. The charges were very reasonable for the work. And that's when I became a total idiot... I noticed cracks in the sink's bowl. I called Jayk's. The person asked for a snapshot of the problem. I sent it and (honestly) said I didn't remember if there were crack that large before. A minute later Jayk's sent me a photo of the pre-work sink. Yep... there were the cracks. I apologized profusely and they were cool about it. Apparently the old ugly faucet was all I could notice. So...yeah...I'm a dummy who has become too used to contractors creating as many problems as they fixed. Not Jayk's though - they're great.

Melvin is a true find! I had unscrewed the kitchen faucet…read morecap to see why the tiny, sealed LED light had gone out in the Allen + Roth faucet sprayer. Upon unscrewing the metal hose, it immediately retracted into the curved faucet -- slid through the tube and caught at the end of the pipe under the sink. I was able to feed it back up through the curved faucet, and could see the end of the metal hose up near the top side but was unable to pinch the edge of the hose and pull it through. I worked at it for a couple of hours -- trying and hoping that I could fix it -- but finally threw in the towel. Professional help was needed. Melvin answered my phone call at 8:30 am while on his way to an already scheduled service call. Hearing that we had guests who had just arrived the night before, he agreed to try and make it by our house that afternoon. Melvin was able to come by that afternoon, reconnect the water line, identify the part number of the faucet head, connect with the company's customer service department to determine the replacement part. Melvin is knowledgeable, patient, fair and kind. He goes the extra mile in providing plumbing service. Unbeatable!

Melvin, the plumber, was on his way to another job, but he stopped by within a few minutes to turn off and secure the WH. He made an appointment for the next morning, and arrived on time with a new WH (the old one was rusted out). He spent over 5 hours, installed the new WH, new pipes, and new pressure tank. He even found and cleared the cellar gravity drain, which had not been cleared for at least 28 years. The workmanship was superb, his attitude was very helpful, and the price was more than reasonable. I'll definitely call them for any plumbing repair in the future.

The city of Raleigh refuses to check their water meter or replace it without an invoice from a plumber. Our water bill was higher than usual the last few months. I did a toilet leak test and found no leaks. Nothing else on the property showed a leak. I called the water department and they were less than helpful. Despite our bill going DOWN after turning ON our sprinkler system, they insisted there was a leak. Matthew's Plumbing sent two guys out who listened to the story, checked the meter as I did, checked the crawl space (no leaks) and listened to me complain about the water department. I was expecting to pay $200+, instead they only charged me $75. These people are honest. I was upset enough that I would have paid the $200 or more had they asked me to do so. Today's visit is why I'll keep doing business with them.

To be seated in one's downstairs working on a Sunday and think that someone was upstairs showering, only to find that a toilet, without even being flushed, decided to fail and pour water through the downstairs ceiling, lights and air vents, well, let's just say, it was a hair raising Sunday. After screaming, turning off the water, and emptying an entire linen closet of towels to manage the flood, I picked up the phone and went down the list on google to find help. Admittedly, Jordan's plumbing was the first I called, but when I got a voicemail, I continued down the list. On my next call, and after speaking with a gentleman about the issue (who I maintain I had awakened from sleep), I was not satisfied. He also stated, "it would be tomorrow" before they could come out, but at that point, I had three huge yellow (fish aquarium) buckets collecting water below, watching my ceiling in such decline, and was looking for immediate help. Shortly after the gentleman and I hung up the phone, the SWEETEST lady called me back. She was in transit to church, but after being able to return a missed call, she wanted to make sure I knew that they could assist me. Her name was Rita, and she quite frankly is what initially sold me on utilizing this company. She did absolutely everything she could to calm me, reassure me, and while they could not make it to me on Sunday at a time me and Mr Jordan were mutually available, she made sure I felt confident that they could get the job done. I felt, and communicated to her, that I believed in Divine intervention, and I just knew they were the right company. In fact, so much so, I would cancel the previous work order from the first company. Today, even more promptly than I expected, I was greeted at my front door by one of the NICEST technicians, Demarkus. Let me tell you, from the moment he entered, until the moment he left, I actually felt assured that this was the right person to assist with the job at hand. The lady of the house also agreed. Demarkus assessed the situation, found what he believed to be the issue, and then made recommendations for repair while answering 10000 questions from said, lady of the house, and whom uses said possessed bathroom toilet. We agreed to move forward with the work from Jordan Plumbing even though said lady of the house can fix anything, including cars. We did so for several reasons, one being that we ensured we had the appropriate documentation for homeowners, the other being, and mostly because the service was so dang good! I know this was a long post, but sometimes understanding the full story, others can appreciate the level of services offered. Most importantly, the work that we had done was reasonably priced, even though I thought my eyes would flood like the ceiling the day before from cost of draining my wallet like that toilet drained the day before. While no one wants to pay for things like this, I am grateful that at the very least, the service alone was worth the price to pay to repair. SERVICE IS SO IMPORTANT! THE MOST IMPORTANT! They excelled on every level for service. I recommend that if you have something go wrong in your home, or you need any plumbing assistance that you contact Jordan Plumbing and Maintenance. She…read morehad used this company earlier in the week so it seemed easiest and most logical to have them come out again . Big mistake . The guys were polite. One was an "apprentice" and not too quick . They arrived late ( about 930, though the appt was for 9 and the receipt claimed they began at 8 .) They assessed the problem and went to buy the parts needed ( which according to the receipt was a 20$ kit that also never came with a verifiable receipt and that they drove 13 miles to find (round trip ) and I live 4 miles TOPS round trip distance from ace hardware & two grocery stores . ALL OF THIS - the 13 miles trip for the "20$ shower drain gasket kit" took 1.5 hrs which I was billed for and have no way to verify. ) The apprentice for the most part was installing it as a learning moment ( which I am all for teachable moments but not when I am paying $200 per hour), but was not quick at all . The entire process lasted 3 hours and the installation itself despite the slow pace of he apprentice was the quickest part ( 30 mins). For something I could've done ... I paid $600.00. I will not EVER,EVER, EVER use or recommend this company again . This was a huge mistake . Save yourself and use Matthew's plumbing solutions - it's a night and day experience !!
