He even found and cleared the cellar gravity drain, which had not been cleared for at least 28 years. Called JD Service now and we thought they were great. A week ago, I plugged in my hairdryer and -- no power. Ok, 30 yr old home, I figured GFC needed replacing -- but same in all plugs including other GFC outlets in other bathroom. Kevin from ServiceNow came out and spent 6 hours over 2 day, much of it in our attic (it's late August) which must've been 120F or hotter. It was a real mystery He finally called to us and showed us the section of Romex he'd found way down and behind the HVAC. 3" of it was totally BURNT with the copper wiring melted due to "electrical arcing." (NOTE: We have never seen any "signs" of rodents in our house or storage attic -- and Kevin noted that, as there were no other chewed spots on the Romex, he feels less inclined to think the damage was due to one chewing on the wire.) He thought he had to replace, turned out not to be connected to anything, so he took a considerable amount off the bill. The whole job was about $3400. AND we were offered financing that is 12-months of 0% interest -- and no min. payments due during that 1-year period, and no interest or penalty if we pay it off in full within that year. THAT is worth a LOT. Few electiricans are going to be able to offer that. And consider that you're going to pay 19-24% right now on any credit card balance you can't pay off within the first 28 days. We are very pleased at the dogged detective work Kevin did in heat that no human should have to work in. We feel confident that he got to the bottom of it and took us out of danger. We showed that section of Romex to a number of people -- other electricians, our 2 engineer neighbors. All went wide-eyed and said we were DAMN lucky that our house didn't burn down. Is JD more expensive? Possibly -- which is why we got a 2nd bid ( for $8000!) I was unhappy to read the poor reviews above. I can only "speak my truth" which is this: JD Service Now has always showed up quickly for us when called, their staff have been great. we've felt that the people who came knew what they were doing and we believe (HOPE?) that they will stand behind the work they have done for us. The part was under warranty, but not the labor. The cost to replace it was $13,000 which I paid in advance. When the tech with the replacement part came to install the fan motor, he determined the root cause of the problem was a coil tem sensor that regulates fan speed. He went away and cam back 2 hrs later with the temp sensor replacement. I theen was charged $600 for the labvor associated with the temp sensor replacement although the part was installed b the same tech at the same time as the fan motor. So my fila cost was almost $2,000! I have sincve cancelled my sevice contracts with JD Now.

Shortly after the gentleman and I hung up the phone, the SWEETEST lady called me back. She was in transit to church, but after being able to return a missed call, she wanted to make sure I knew that they could assist me. Her name was Rita, and she quite frankly is what initially sold me on utilizing this company. She did absolutely everything she could to calm me, reassure me, and while they could not make it to me on Sunday at a time me and Mr Jordan were mutually available, she made sure I felt confident that they could get the job done. Today, even more promptly than I expected, I was greeted at my front door by one of the NICEST technicians, Demarkus. Let me tell you, from the moment he entered, until the moment he left, I actually felt assured that this was the right person to assist with the job at hand. The lady of the house also agreed. Demarkus assessed the situation, found what he believed to be the issue, and then made recommendations for repair while answering 10000 questions from said, lady of the house, and whom uses said possessed bathroom toilet. We agreed to move forward with the work from Jordan Plumbing even though said lady of the house can fix anything, including cars. We did so for several reasons, one being that we ensured we had the appropriate documentation for homeowners, the other being, and mostly because the service was so dang good! I know this was a long post, but sometimes understanding the full story, others can appreciate the level of services offered. Most importantly, the work that we had done was reasonably priced, even though I thought my eyes would flood like the ceiling the day before from cost of draining my wallet like that toilet drained the day before. While no one wants to pay for things like this, I am grateful that at the very least, the service alone was worth the price to pay to repair. SERVICE IS SO IMPORTANT! THE MOST IMPORTANT!
