UPDATE: Another plumbing item had me dialing up TCR again, to help out with a kitchen sink issue. My call was answered promptly, routed to the scheduler/dispatcher that had a spot for me reserved within 3 hours of the call. Joe came well within the allotted time and was very positive and helpful. He had an idea of what to do, informed me of it so I could give the OK to proceed and then he went about to acquire all that was needed. He had the sink issue fixed in great time and with minimal interruption to my day as well as minimal cleanup afterwards. Parts and labor were within what I expected to pay for such service. We have more than a vendor with TCR, we have a trusted partner. We have been using them for years and have no doubts scheduling appointments without any hesitation. For example, we had a clogged sewer drain due to tree roots. TCR offered ways for us to deal with this in the short term by inserting chemicals down the drain so that we didn't have to do the "real" work of digging up the lawn and replacing the pipe. We chose the latter and their price was better than fair, a fraction of the larger companies. As a repeat customer I was offered that a technician come to our home at no cost to evaluate what sounded like (and was) an appliance issue at no cost, which was indeed no plumbing issue, but that speaks to the integrity of TCR. Multiple repairs and replacements later, we use TCR without hesitation or even thinking about considering alternatives. read more

Years later, TCR (and Terry) remain the most responsive and fair plumbers I have worked with to date (and nice on top of it all). Needed a straightforward fix (garbage disposal replacement while recovering from surgery), TCR got someone out asap and they were fast and thorough (and also reassuring and patient with me as plumbing stuff always makes me over worry after nightmare experiences when I lived in another state). There was this tree. It appeared to be a perfectly lovely little tree, blooming prettily, home to chirping birds and an occasional noisy woodpecker but this deceptively nice tree had a dark underside. It ate through the sewer line and created an issue for the nearby homeowner. It forced a strike-back. That strike came from the HOA-recommended company TCR Rooter & Plumbing. I prepared for the worst, but was pleasantly (if one can ever be pleasant when dealing with &@$) surprised by interactions with some of the nicest and easy-to-work-with group of people. I suppose plumbers as a whole either can be nice because you're in a bind and have no choice or be not nice because you're in a bind and have no choice. It was interesting to watch the process. First they diagnose the issue with those cameras that go where no one wants to go, then bring the vacuum to clean out what they can, another group comes by with the backhoe, call the town to advise of an emergency dig and mark the utility lines, and then start the repair. They leave one poor person behind to fill the hole in the ground -- he must like that or he drew the short straw that day. Either way, things were put back the way they started (nothing a little bleach can't fix) minus part of the bushes removed to get to the break, minus the offending tree roots, and minus the now-depleted rainy day fund. The tree lost this round and water was restored. Now about that tree -- enjoy them -- but don't trust them. They can be shady. read more

Major pipe break in front yard and they did a good job fixing it for what I believe was a fair price. My issue was that they did not clean up afterwards and left a French drain and pavers in a horrible condition, saying the pavers would settle in. They look worse than ever and we are not able to take care of this ourselves. Red clay everywhere and a real trip hazard. I guess I will call them back and see if they can clean up the damage. read more

Matt responded quickly for my request to replace my broken water heater. He came over right when he said he would, looked over the job, and gave me a quote. When I accepted and asked when we could schedule the job, he said. "Right now." All right! He and Nick started right away, removing my old water heater and expansion tank, and replacing them with new equipment. They worked quickly and were done in less than 3 hours. Matt answered all my questions and was professional, courteous, and friendly. Matt & Nick cleaned up the job site, hauled away the old equipment, and wore masks the whole time they were in my house. Before they left, Matt showed me the new equipment, the shut-off valve, and how to change the water temperature. I received a receipt for payment and an invoice describing the job. Well done. I had one plumber no show and a second send two out without anyone making repairs to my Apollo water heater. The last plumber told me I needed a new water heater, although he did not know how to work on my water heater. TCR sent one Repair Person and he knew exactly what was wrong and completed repairs in a short time. I will never call anyone else but TCR. read more

When another contractor thru a big-box store failed to adequately respond regarding our need to replace a hot water heater that "died", I contacted TCR right before the end of the business day. I received a quick call-back from Terry (owner) and a response was promised between 9:00-11:00a the next morning. Happily, Brad showed up at 8:20a and I very quickly had a good estimate for the work to be done. Brad's helper soon arrived with the tank and we were back in hot water later that morning. Both Brad and Tanner were very good, as well as being pleasant to be around as they efficiently went about their business. Overall, I was very pleased with the tank we got, the price and the work done. TCR will definitely be my "go to" plumbers should I again need such services. read more

We called TCR, knowing nothing about the company, based their proximity to our home and a decent rating on Yelp. Our first experience was quite acceptable with Brandon expertly repairing an outside faucet. But it was our second call to TCR that really justified a five star rating. We had a porcelain toilet tank suddenly crack open and immediately begin flooding water onto our floor. Luckily we were home at the time and could shut off the water to the toilet. Terry and another plumber could not have been more responsive. He was at our home within 30 minutes of our call and we had a new toilet installed in about two hours. This was amazing customer service and we cannot recommend TCR more highly! read more

Trying to figure out why this company ran a full snake on my plumbing, charged me nearly 200.00, then 11 days later came out again and charged me another 200.00. I tried to to take it up with a manager but she still has not called me back with an explanation. read more

I was in the process of gathering quotes to replace my polybutylene pipes in my house and scheduled an appointment with TCR (talked with Terry). The appointment time came and went without word from Terry. I called the office and the lady said she would get in touch with Terry. Terry called soon after mentioning 2 employees not showing up work and having trouble with a piece of equipment. We reschedule for 9AM - 10AM the next morning. I called the office again at 10:30 as Terry did not show and did not call. I again reached out to Terry and told him I was busy until 1 o'clock and I would call him around then to see if we could work out a time in the afternoon. Terry said he would answer my call and would head over as soon as he heard from me. I called at 1 o'clock and left Terry a message. I have not heard from Terry. I would not recommend TCR based on their lack of customer service. read more
